Great affordable meal with some happy hour prices. The food arrived quickly.. The beer can chicken and Brussel sprouts were fantastic. Our server was great as well.
Great food, good service, nice setting.
Great food and drinks
We were here as a family on vacation and we love sushi. Three’s Bar & Grill has excellent sushi rolls, oysters on the half shell & kimchi pickled veggies. We will definitely be back.
Always a treat to come to Three’s, although now that tourism has risen again, parking is atrocious !
It was fine. Nothing really to complain about but the food wasn’t out of this world.
Great meal, great location. They make you feel at home but the food is superb. The ahi, the sushi, the coconut shrimp, are theeeeee best. Go early in your trip and go again.
Forgot our food.. didn’t make it a special experience for my brother’s birthday even though the host knew we were celebrating.
Birthday and anniversary lunch was delightful. Outside table was a little too much sun at times, but the food was fabulous. Only disappointment was that they were all out of oysters. Turley wine was fantastic and boom burger was BOOM. Very pleased!
Food was overpriced. Poke bowl was a bunch of off cuts from sushi bar and was not very good. Our server seemed depressed. We went for happy hour and were sadly disappointed by the portion size and lack of atmosphere. Nachos were good, but the portion size was barely worth the happy hour price. I would never pay full price for the food here. The quesadilla was literally 4 small slices that were soggy thanks to all the sauces that were added. The meat was tasty but again, the execution was lacking. Sorry to say we won’t revisit Threes.
Baller eat more of this
My favorite mai tai in Maui! We were told we couldn’t sit at the several 2-tops outside in order to save space for larger parties…. So they sat us at a 2-top indoors with a view of the empty 2-tops outside….
Not as impressive as I had hoped. The vibe was negative and the only positive and friendly person was the young lady filling waters and she was finishing a double shift. They only have 6 dinners on the dinner menu and the one I wanted was the beer can chicken dinner. It was 5:00 and they were out of that? There were plenty of tables open so not sure how they sold out. So I got the fish sandwich. There was so much stuff and sauce on it that I couldn’t tell what the meat was. I took everything off but the fish and it was breaded in coconut and something sweet. It was so sweet that it tasted like a candy sandwich. I couldn’t finish half of it. The Brussel sprouts left a lot to be desired too. I had high hopes and was disappointed on the service and food.
Food was delicious, very casual, limited drinks options.
Extremely disappointing food. This was our last night in Maui after having dined and experienced such quality food. This was nothing more than sub par bar food. There were four of us, and the hope was that one or more would get a dish that redeemed the place. But no such luck.
I had a fish sandwich, supposedly coated in coconut batter with a peanut slaw and mango salsa. The fish was paper thin, no taste of coconut, with a minuscule helping of the other toppings. In short, no love.
I also ordered the jambalaya, which. in all seriousness, was no better than a dish at Denny’s.
One friends ordered the garlic noodles, which were like eating plastic
Another friend ordered a hamburger which was standard fare. Nothing special. We also ordered a Caesar salad, which was nothing of the sort. Kale and greens with minuscule dry dressing that was nothing like a Ceasar. .
Another friend ordered the Ramen, which, again, was just below standard fare.
All in all, it just feels like no love is given to the food at all. What a damn shame. If they cared a little more and upgraded to the spirit of what I imagine this place started out as, it would change the game for them again.
I guess because Hawaii is packed, and the business is booming, there’s not much incentive to improve. So beware.
The food was great but we waited 35 minutes past our reservation only to have the hostess tell us she didn’t have us on her list anymore. No apology or explanation.
Great happy hour visit. Sat on shady front patio listening to a local singer/guitarist. Good sushi, wings and a fish taco. All beautifully cooked. Good, fast service from Tim. Definitely one of our favorite places and we'll be back soon.
My wife and I found the restaurant on trip advisor, food was great! However, the restaurant allowed us to book a late reservation for 845pm and wasn’t aware the kitchen and bar closed at 9pm. By the time we sat down and got water, we had less then 2 minutes to decide our food and drink choices. We were extremely rushed and no one really cared. The waiters stopped coming around once our food was dropped off at our table. So our advice would be don’t book a reservation past 8pm.
We had 8:30 reservations. Went to get a drink at the bar and the Bartender girl seemed annoyed that I was there. After getting me two beers she slammed three dollars and change on the counter and walked off. When seated at our table, we were told where the exit was. Weird. We ordered food and the pork quesadilla was the best thing. Sushi had very little flavor I was simply not very good. The Nigiriwas really good. After being seated we were shortly told that it was last call for the bar and we were told by our waitress l”looks like you all have plenty, and don’t need any”. WTF? Seldomly do I leave a bad review but this place kind of had my spirits up until we went and visited. Maybe it was because they were getting ready to close but we truly felt hurried and unappreciated and the food was not very good.
Great atmosphere and good food. The blue marlin special was exceptional and the poke was very good as well. Outdoor seating is definitely the way to go. They do a great job with COVID protocols making the dining experience as “normal” as possible.
Great little spot. We love going to Three's. You won't be disappointed.
Food is okay, service is okay
I would come back to Maui JUST to eat here again. The coconut shrimp was sooo yummy. And the sashimi was the best I’ve EVER had. My husband ate the oysters and said it was wonderful. Will definitely be back soon (hopefully)!!
Steak was delicious. Laid back vibe. Recommended!
Very interesting menu...every item we tired from the happy hour menu was delicious
Unfortunately they were out of the special beer can chicken everyone loves, so we didn't get to try it. They were out of a few other things, so finding a second choice entree on the fly was difficult. I got the Ramen, which was just okay. The pork belly in it was perfectly done, but the noodles weren't my favorite. My date had the coconut crusted fish sandwich, and he really enjoyed that.
Our server (Sara) was very sweet. She had great energy and gave excellent service.
Overall, I'd go back, but only to try to get that beer can chicken
Great food and friend service. The jambalaya and the Ramen were delicious!
Go for happy hour. The spicy tuna roll is really solid and the coconut shrimp are delicious. It’s a good place, not worth full menu prices though. Great service!
We had a truly great dinner! If you’re looking to try a great new place, you need to check out Three’s! We’ll definitely be back the next time we visit Maui!!
Liked the atmosphere and good service. Sushi was just alright but loved the coconut shrimp appetizer and fun drinks.
So good!!!! Book early!
Had the Ono on rice with a wonderful sauce and green beans. My husband had the pork belly and ramen. Would go again for sure!
Food was awesome, sushi rolls were excellent. Gumbo, Brussel sprouts and gumbo were also really good! Great drinks and environment with a friendly staff!
Our experience was underwhelming...seated in an empty room... I get it about covid distancing, but there was no attention paid to the ambiance of this space.
My boyfriend liked his oysters and sushi. I loved the flavor of my market fish; however it was over cooked. Disappointed to say the least.
We plan an annual Maui trip; however am not sure whether we’ll try this restaurant again.
We went for Happy Hour & it was average. Maybe better if you get a meal rather than the small plates. A bit disappointing for a Triple D location.
Dinner was good. Went to the restaurant for the beer can chicken and they didn’t have any prepared. So disappointed.
Food on HH menu was a good variety and the drinks were tasty. Food was good too. I would recommend this place to friends/family.
The food wasn’t good. That’s about it.
We had items from the Happy Hour menu. The fish tacos were amazing. The Brussels sprouts as well. My hubby loves the pork belly. Highly recommend.
Always a great choice!! We go several times while in Maui.
Found this place by accident three years ago and have eaten here every Maui trip since. Food has always been good and enjoyable. Eating on the patio is our favorite, but inside is also nice.
