As far as classic, good-for-everything establishments go, it’s hard to beat the Wolseley. The breakfasts here are an essential London experience.
Reserved for 12:30, however waited for more than 15 mins. The booking was not well organised.
Food is okay, not as good as expected, not really worth the money.
Yet another spectacular brunch at one of my favourite places to eat in London - The Wolseley . Thanks for the amazing staff, delish pink champagne and the little macaroons presented to me for my birthday.I loved my duck egg and haggis dish and am drooling as I write this just thinking about it.
Very good experience especially the environment
We went there two times in two weeks and we were there on our last London trip. We will go back for the food. But the staff is surly and dismissive. They tried to get our food order within a few minutes of our arrival and when we wanted time, the guy left in a huff. We were seated at a table with a booth bench on one side. The woman took us there, pulled out the table so my wife could sit down and then left. I had not sat down and she had no intention of helping us get the table back in place. Almost every time we wanted another drink, more bread, desert, etc., we had to flag down a waiter. This was common on each night we were there. But we left very satisfied with the food.
Excellent! Loved every minute & they spoilt our little boy who turned 7 that day with a lovely surprise at the end of our meal . Also wonderful kids meal option.
Excellent service and good food as usual. A huge selection of food and always well presented.
I brought my 2 daughter's to The Woseley with my sister for breakfast on Monday morning. My husband has recently died and taking my teenage girls to London and visiting places their Dad and I loved going together...was important to them.
All members working at The Woseley were simply lovely. Genuine humans being human, not just workers working for their wage. This is something many of us in our human selves and life have forgotten. To be simply lovely. Just because being light and lovely to others lifts all around.
I am indebted to those faces who unlikely will remember us but whose faces are etched in my memory forever. A time when strangers made my girls smile when they most deserved it.
Love to you all who were so effortlessly wonderful at 10.30am Monday 9th April.
Wonderful restaurant, beautifully appointed, very up scale, great food and nice service!!
For the second time in two months, our table was c.20 min late and we didn’t get to order until 45 min after arriving on time. After we did order, all was well, but these delays aren’t really acceptable, particularly as they tell you when they want the table back when you book!
This restuarant has the most wonderful ambience at any time of the day and night.
Food is always good as is the service.
No complaints !
I have to say the service was absolutely terrible. The staff were rude and very unhelpful. I actually won’t go back again.
We have only been twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both occasions were amazing!
We had a lovely breakfast here with my wife. Everything was brilliant!
Always excellent - this time was no different; the flat iron steak was even better than the dish it replaced, the bavette.
Foods taste good.
I just love finishing my long working day at the Wolseley for a late dinner... Amazing menu that never disappoints, great cocktails and impeccable service. Just love it!
Great service and delicious menu. I particularly like the cheese soufflé and can highly recommend it.
It never fails to make going to a restaurant a special occasion. The buzz is matched by the decor..or maybe generated by it. Long may it live.
The Wolseley never fails to impress
There were one or two glitches.
I am gluten intolerant and the only bread on offer was very very ordinary supermarket style white gluten free.
There are now some quite good gluten free bakers in London such as Romeos in Upper Street. Also in shops such as Waitrose and M&S you can purchase gluten free sour dough. I would also expect a Restaurant such as the Wolseley to bake their own.
As we were too late for Brunch - my mistake booking in for 11:45 - and we only wanted a snack the menu was a bit limited.
As always the staff were gracious . The ambience was outstanding, it always feels a treat .
I was sad to see the doorman has gone and also paper towels in the cloakroom rather than material napkins - trifling nonsense really but good to have reusable rather than disposable.
I’m certain we’ll be back!
Wonderful experience the food and service are superb
The place is amazing. The service was really good. I would have appreciated to be served at the same time for each person. But overall I would definitely recommend it.
Worst service I had in this trip
Waited over an hour for brunch, undercooked eggs, very inattentive service in beautiful surroundings.
An extremely mediocre breakfast. An utterly uninspired and overdone omelet slapped on a plate. Poor
A truly special place for any occasion! I love the history of the building, it used to be a car showroom for Wolseley Motors. Great food and service and the eclairs are to die for. 10 out of 10 from me.
Excellent and brilliant
The food was average and even too salty at times. Very basic for such a grand name
Went for tea and i made a mistake on the reservation but the staff was wonderful and was able to accommodate our party. Wonderful service and a really elegant and chic place to have high tea or any meal. i highly recommend!
The Wolseley is always great idea. However, it’s very popular. So be ready to wait even when you have a reservation and also be prepared to be asked to move to the lounge area during busy periods to give place for the next booking!
Wolseley just has it right - great place, great place to take your mum on Sunday night, great place to go on a Sunday night. Food is always good and often great, even for vegetarian like me and the mixed drinks are classic. I think it's is the best Brasserie in the world and a fair deal.
good as ever - London prices unavoidable - so nothing changes there - but much enjoyed
I love the Wolseley, consistently good food at reasonable prices in lovely surroundings. I also like the fact that they serve food until late. On this occasion I was bringing friends who hadn’t fined here before. They loved the restaurant and the food although the unusually slow service slightly marred the experience with the drinks order arriving moments before our food arrived. This was out of character with previous experiences and so I will of course be returning.
Spent a lovely evening with some friends , we were treated like royalty and had great food too . A real treat , thank you
60th birthday celebration! Very well looked after by a handsome bearded waiter! Lovely oysters and champagne. Beautiful uplifted space. We had a very good meal, the perfect place for a special occasion. We were happy!
Birthday treat for my mother. She was made to feel very special and we all had a lovely afternoon tea.
Our waiter made our visit fun and enjoyable. Loved the table overlooking the restaurant as I am a people watcher! Great atmosphere and all staff were friendly & helpful, Lovely food too afternoon tea looked fab definitely next visit.
wonderful food and ambiance and looking for an excuse to go again!
A beautiful room. Flavours were good.
Service was super slow. Buzzing atmosphere. Food is consistently good here.
Brunch spot on as always, we had a cheeky Bloody Mary to accompany fish cakes and devilled kidneys. All so tasty and fabulous service
