The Terrace at the famous Sunset Tower Hotel debuted a new look in May of 2018, featuring a refreshed outdoor dining experience with updated furnishings and an elegant new bar. The Tower Bar Restaurant has split views of the city from either side of the lobby. It offers a swank lounge, bar and an al fresco dining experience. Custom made banquettes line the windows that showcase an unparalleled view of the Los Angeles skyline. Art deco design influences include walnut with gold inlay trim in a subtle, muted color scheme. The delectable menu features California Bistro with Italian fare. A dress code is enforced, please call for information.

We are now open daily for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is offered six nights a week, Monday-Saturday. We are unable to guarantee a seating preference of indoors or outdoors. We recommend a sweater or light coat during the evenings.

The ambiance was extraordinary- and that’s where it ended. The food was disappointing at best. Everything was either undercooked or over seasoned - the 41 dollar chicken pot pie looked like an appetizer compared to everyone else’s massive helpings and wasn’t edible. The first round of drinks were made incorrectly and our server, albeit very sweet and earnest, wasn’t able to really field most of our questions. Super underwhelming but the vibe there was stunning

We love the Tower Bar, very old Hollywood, beautiful view, elegant and comfortable, with great service. Pricey but well worth it for the experience. Service is always excellent, and if you have the time, cross the street to see who is at the Comedy Store!

Under the heading "you get what you pay for" this restaurant experience is about as perfect as it gets. From the very friendly valet parking attendant, to the greeters at the front desk, to every single server and helper that came to our table = perfection! Every item I've had on the menu has been exceptional. Is it an expensive evening, yes and worth every penny!! Bravo!!!

One of the last vestiges of old Hollywood romanticism left in the city, led by the lovely and magnanimous head maître D, Barbara. Expect views poolside views of the L.A. skyline while being gently serenaded by elegant music of bygone, glamorous eras (a rare exception in a world where you are constant abused by extremely loud modern pop music at every turn). To put it simply- once you walk through the doors of the tower bar, you’re transported to another time and place. Highly recommended…

The rib eye on special for $100 was the worst stake I’ve ever had. Very overpriced and usually I don’t mind but first it arrived cold then when they brought it back “warm” it was so bad. The pasta was $50 and it was meh. Won’t be going back.

Ordered a Club sandwich and one of the quarters was an eighth and missing the bread on the bottom. Waiter seemed to not be willing to immediately provide a replacement. I had to demand he take the sandwich back to the kitchen to have a replacement made for me. Food and service quality is not what it was at this restaurant.

A true gem. Proper cocktails. Friendly and knowledgeable waiters. Old school offerings alongside lighter, newer dishes. The antithesis of the onslaught of restaurants where you get the speech about “how our menu works” and “just so you know, chef sends everything out as ready”.
