The Tower Bar
Rack of Lamb
mashed potatoes, broccolini, mint jelly
mashed potato, braised kale
Amazing food and service always! Every time we come we enjoy ourselves. One of the best places in Los Angeles
So great to be back! Missed you terribly! Same great service, same great cocktails - loved it as usual.
One of the finest restaurants in LA.
Food, atmosphere and service are impeccable.
We went the first night of reopening and couldn’t have felt safe and more welcome. It was so nice to get back to feeling civilized again after lockdown. Best service, best food and most importantly best cocktails!
It’s a favorite!
We were seated in what looked like a patio which is not the refined, cozy, comfortable setting that I am use to at this restaurant. It was so noisy that we couldn’t speak to each other comfortably. The lamb was severely overcooked. The lobster wraps were good. I won’t go here again unless I can be seated in the piano bar. It was an awful, grueling experience.
We ordered two main courses to share. The lamb chops which were delicious. The waiter said the chicken pot pie was a good second option and delicious. It was barely as good as the chicken pot pie from Sam’s club. In fact probably not as good.
It is a fun dimly lit Hollywood staple with a bit of attitude. For some reason at the end of the meal when I tried to pay cash they were not sure if they would have change of $100 bill. I find that quite odd for a high priced restaurant. The manager even came over and gave me a hard time for wanting to pay cash.
The food was horrible. I have always enjoyed The Tower Bar so much over the years. This time, the food was inedible. Service was great. Process are outrageous! Not going back.
Nice to see the patrons of a restaurant get dressed up for dinner!
Great ambience. Sent back the calamari. Tasted frozen and overcooked.
Smells bad, and poor seating
great ambiance, delicious varied menu, expensive but perfect for a special night out.
What a terribly disappointing dinner here. We were on time for our reservation for two. The hostess said they had several tables just finishing dessert, so there would be a little wait. She invited us to have a drink at the bar, which we did. After finishing our first drink 25 minutes later, I went back to the hostess to see how we were faring. She simply said there were still no tables. I pointed out that we had be looking at a vacant table for two the entire time we were having our drink in the bar. She said she had to hold that for someone. She was unapologetic, offered no ballpark as to how much longer the wait would be, didn’t offer us a drink on the house, nothing. She made it clear she couldn’t care less us or how long we had to wait. We returned to the bar and had another drink. After finishing that drink we were now 45 minutes after our reservation time. I went back to the hostess and she said she had no idea how much longer we might have to wait. Then she offered she could seat us if we were willing to eat in another room—not in the restaurant. I didn’t realize there was another room. I checked it out. It brings new meaning to the metaphor Siberia. This other room has totally different décor and vibe as the real restaurant. As much as we hated it, we accepted it as she couldn’t give us any clue as to how much longer we might have to wait to sit I the real restaurant. At this point the evening was shot. The food was fine, nothing remarkable. But we were sitting in a room we didn’t want to be in and eating an hour later than we had planned. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to have dinner at The Tower. The food is unremarkable and nothing close to Spago, CUT or the really good restaurants in town. And if you want a scene or celebs, you can have a way better experience and be treated much better at Craig’s. We won’t be back and I recommend you go elsewhere.
Great food & vibe. Made us wait 40min for a table and 40min for our first dish. But the food was worth the wait so overall recommended.
Excellent food and service! Great vibe!
Amazing dining experience! Best salmon poke!
Fantastic food and Service
unfortunately unknowns are put in a room that I believe used to be the reception area. that's a shame as the main room & adjoining pool area have spectacular views of the city.
Dinner was great, the restaurant was beautiful and I loved the live piano player. The food was very well prepared. My only complaint and the thing that will stop me from
Coming back was the price.
I love the old Hollywood vibe. I haven’t dined here in years and I regret not coming back sooner. Definitely a must add to the rotation of restaurants.
Food and service were mediocre at best. Celery Soup was like salted baby food. The Cobb salad was as sad as it could be. The crab cakes were literally inedible. Next time I want to drop 300-400 at a restaurant it will definitely not be here. Granted, we were on the “bar” side which I found to be more of a bad nightclub than the more refined space to the left of the hostess stand where I’ve enjoyed some lovely meals. I’ll stick with the steak and fish if I ever go back and I will definitely not sit on the “bar side”
This is such a wonderful dinner spot. Old Hollywood elegance while also being hip and fun. The room is beautiful, the service is attentive and the menu choices are amazing. We loved that there were so many vegan and healthy choices.
Love the bar room.
Always my favorite date restaurant in LA!
Perfect ambience and delicious food !!
Excellent atmosphere and good food and drinks—staple LA restaurant
So fun and delish
Ambiance was so nice. We we're lucky to be seated at a window with a feel of old Hollywood and had a view of Los Angeles at night with all the twinkling lights. Food was very good and the Barramundi with Israeli couscous was our favorite of tonight. Close second was the porcini mushroom and truffle ravioli. Good wine list, too.
Old school Hollywood ambience. The best
Seated us 45 minutes late. Manager was not very accommodating. Food was quality and setting is swanky, but not cheap.
Always a treat to dine at this LA landmark, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere divine.
Everything was absolutely superb. I want to especially thank the service staff for accommodating my seating request on such a busy night. Thank you so very much. My favorite place in LA.
Fun atmosphere, good food and great service!
The most rude hostesses I’ve ever encountered, even in Hollywood.
We waited 1.5 hour to be seated with a confirmed reservation. We are very upset and complained many times . But ignored . And we are regulars for 10 years .
Always Gracious! We always eat here when in town whether we're staying at hotel or not. We love the vibe, the food and the service. Our Uber was horribly late after accepting the ride, and we were 30 min past our reservation. I called right at time to explain the situation. Jamie (?) stated their policy about arrival times and when I arrived she did the best to accommodate. We had time to get a drink at the bar, and then they got us to our table. It wasn't in the main room, just the side room, but we still felt well treated and cared for. It was a particularly star studded night and the service was still spectacular. It was also my birthday and candles and writing were on my birthday dessert. I have also eaten multiple other meals there and never disappoints. Love the chicken pot pie, but really everything is deliciouslWe will be back.
Fabulous dinner scene. Beautiful Art Deco hotel and great ambiance. Food was just ok. Drinks are good. Overall this is a celebrity scene - don’t even think of using your phone!!
Great bar and good service. Prices are obscene even for LA
