Great steak w/ chimichuri, good food, good service and great views!
Every table has a great ocean view and the food are delicious. We would definitely come again.
Great views and service!
The view was amazing. The food wasn’t anything spectacular, unfortunately, but it photographed nicely! The lobster, crab and shrimp dip was cold! Like ice cold and purposeful. It should be called a seafood salad. It was good, but shocking at first bite.
This was a delightful dining experience. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend one of their intimate booths with an elevated view of the oceanfront. Great comfort food in an intimate setting. This venue did not disappoint.
I visited for my wedding anniversary.I asked for an ocean seat, but there were no seats.
"The food was delicious, but I asked for medium rare steak, but it felt a little overcooked."
It was a bit disappointing.
And it was a bit disappointing that they didn't ask for another drink.
Overall, it is highly rated.
Great ocean view, easy parking under the hotel (otherwise impossible to find) and good food.
Friendly staff, great location :) We had an awesome experience
The views are amazing, the food was delicious. Farmers Flatbread had fresh ingredients. The mushroom ravioli was wonderful and not heavy. I was worried about ordering the mushroom ravioli but it but it was amazing and it was served over greens. I am looking forward to going back and trying other items.
We stayed at the hotel and decided to have our first meal here since we didn't want to look around. The lunch/dinner menu was the same but seemed to feature more lunch-like items so initially was a bit disappointed. We ordered the shrimp cocktail - HIGHLY RECOMMEND and a burger as well as the cobb salad. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was spectacular. I am glad we stayed and would dine there again.
It was fantastic!
Very nice - would have liked to see another fish entrée (like seabass or salmon) as only swordfish or poke offered. Food was very good - mussels were delicious but could use more than 1 pc bread before charging $1 for 1 extra slice.
We were staying at the hotel and wanted to get a drink and quick meal while watching the sunset. The setting is always lovely, but the food and service is not consistent!
Had a great Easter lunch with friends & family. Fabulous food + drinks + amazing beach front table.
Great place for lunch! outside patio very nice ! Food good, service good!
The shores restaurant is level with the beach and every table has a view of it. We dined here for Easter, no buffet, just order from the brunch menu. For a hotel restaurant food wasn't bad. I think they might've made it more occasion classy with white table cloths.
Gorgeous setting on the ocean; menu was fantastic.
Service wasn’t good at all. Could of went to rubios and paid a quarter of the price. Drinks are super watered down and service was super poor. The upside was the view, it distracted us from the food and bitter waitress
Best shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon flatbread I've ever had. Service was pleasant and very attentive, too!
Best cobb salad ever! I also recommend their LCS appetizer - delicious. Can't beat the view. Tables and chairs cleaned between customers. Friendly service.
We like the food and the service of Sabrina but my request a day before to put us on a table with a view didn’t happened. First time eating here and we chose this hotel because of the view which i thought would be perfect for a special birthday celebration. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant.not so happy about it.
The staff was overwhelmed and we rarely had anyone paying attention. It took forever to get a refill on coffee, and for my guest requesting decaf, it never happened. The food was not up to Shores standards. The restaurant has opened too soon.
Under staffed. Server missed some of our orders.
My mother and I were staying at the hotel and wanted to have dinner at the bar while watching the sunset.
The ambiance was good but they were short staffed so we had to wait a little longer than we wanted for our food. Mine was cold but it was too late to send it back.
On the whole though we were very satisfied with the drinks and food the rest of our stay at La Jolla Shores Hotel!
Views were terrific, food was average, service was average. Server was spread too thin over lots of tables. Half of the dinners came and the remaining dinners were over 5 minutes later. Staff seemed anxious to clean up the restaurant and leave.
Great atmosphere right on the beach. The strawberry salad and the swordfish were outstanding.
What a great spot for a perfect San Diego breakfast. Food was almost as good as the setting, maybe better. I’ll definitely be back!
Hidden gem in San Diego.
It took someone 25 minutes to acknowledge me but my server was funny and cool.
The waiter was very attentive to us and our needs and while the kitchen was very slow the waiter showered us with additional free drinks and desserts even without us making any complaints.
Food when it came out was good though!
Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing!!!
Nice wait staff. Great service. Beautiful views. Would recommend for lunch.
Great service & view!
Loved the people and the ambience 🤩
Great view , very accommodating to us and food limited but wonderful!
Drink prices a little high
Order the fish tacos. Views can’t be beat.
Our waiter Josh took a picture of our group with the sunset—you could tell he’d done it once or twice before because he captured the sunset perfectly. The food was great and they let us sit and talk after our meal enjoying the ocean views.
Stayed at the hotel and it was my daughters birthday so we had dinner at the hotel . Unfortunately it took a long time to get served I had to go back to the hostess and let her know no one has been to our table . The menu items very short I had the California burger only ate half .. Later on that night I felt sick to my stomach from the burger . I also feel that since you were closed for a year it would have been nice to have updated your facility as it needs TLC .
We sat for 15 minutes without anybody so much as pouring us water. They completely ignored us so we decided to leave
Food was nasty
we had a great time! great servise spectacular view
it a favorite for us
