Great spot to take out of town friends. Beef shoulder and chicken were out of this world.
Food was amazing, just small portions.
Nice place with good food and well made cocktails. A must visit if you are in town.
The food and service was outstanding. We ordered the 3-steak filets, carnitas tacos and crispy chicken thighs. They were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. The cocktails were awesome as usual. We haven't been to The Salty Sow in a few years. It was a pleasure to be back.
Met the girls for happy hour! It was perfect! Amazing food at great prices!
Fantastic food !
We had a great time and loved our food. We haven’t been able to find better drinks in Austin! :) we love Salty sow and will keep coming back.
Friendly, speedy service and great food!
Delicious food and service every time we go. Great cocktails too.
Yummy food, great service
This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The deviled eggs, candied pork belly and beignets were stand out dishes. Service was surprisingly quick even on a busy evening.
Great food and service, as ever.
We appreciate the unique menu choices and top-notch service. Salty Sow is a great place to go for any event.......Happy Hour, a nice dinner date, or to celebrate a special occasion. We've never had a bad experience at Salty Sow!
Truffled deviled eggs were too strong on the truffle front. Food was good but for the price should've been great. Brussel Sprout leaves were good. Drinks were just ok.
It was my last dinner out in Austin before moving out of Texas so I chose this farm to table restaurant for my friend and I. I like the open air dining space and the cozy atmosphere. I always get the beef shoulder and for starters I recommend the duck fat fries (though I didn’t get it this time), for dessert I recommend the chocolate cake. Yum yum. And the waiting staff is always so lovely and attentive. Oh and they take great pics!
Rushed service despite being 30 min early to a half empty restaurant for a 915p reservation, clearly trying to close early. Server unhelpful with drink, entree or appetizer recommendations. While specials were marked as “limited”, only found out that two were sold out after ordering.
Everything was good. The server was slow to come check on us. I had to ask for check and to order dessert. This may be due to short staff and I totally understand. I will be back.
Always delicious! Never disappointed
It was a great place. Quick service and very knowledgeable of the menu.
Happy hour snacks and drinks and a charcuterie board, all excellent, with good service in a charming setting, took dessert home and was blown away.
Salty Sow is a great happy hour or dinner spot. Plenty of room both inside and outside. Parking can be a little rough sometimes so if you have a reservation you might want to get there early. So many great food and drink choices. I like the deviled eggs and Brussel sprout leaves appetizers.
An eclectic place to eat and enjoy a drink with friends. This was our first time there but it won’t be the last.
Food and service was amazing, atmosphere was equally charming. A must visit in Austin!
Birthday dinner, excellent food and service
The Salty Sow is fantastic dinner spot in East Austin. It is a laid back restaurant where the menu never disappoints. You've got to start your night off with their deviled eggs and if you can't decide on which entree, the beef shoulder is where it's at. Their wait staff is excellent and very kind. Definitely a great spot for any occasion.
Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was great. Worth the trip.
It was great food and service! Not quiet but bustling and ok.
Great food great service. The chairs are not that comfortable.
My husband and I had an excellent dining experience at Salty Sow. Our server was very thoughtful and sweet. I didn’t get her name, it was a little noisy after we moved inside because of the rain. We enjoyed the Porch swing cocktail with the chicken liver mousse and the special salad. My husband enjoyed his red fish very much and I loved the crispy chicken thighs. We just decided to go to SS at the last minute and couldn’t have been more pleased. Definitely will be returning👍🏻
Best happy hour prices
Salty Sow was pretty solid, but in agreement with a lot of 4/5 reviews I've seen. Food was great but nothing that will blow you away save for a couple gems like the Truffle Deviled Eggs. Cocktails were awesome though, they're generous with the alcohol.
I love this spot. The happy hour deals are incredible, the drinks are always divine, and the staff and atmosphere are so warm and welcoming!
Excellent food. Service spotty
Food was ok but our server was terrible. Totally didn’t want to be there
The Banana Fosters beignet were to die for. 10/10 for the food, drinks and service! Our waiter David was so nice and treated us good for our date night!!
Overall, tHe food was excellent and the service was very good !Only comment Would be that it was somewhat loud and hard to have conversations across the table at least where we sat near the kitchen. Regardless, we will continue to sponsor the “Salty Sow”, it is a great venue!!
It's the absolute best Happy Hour in the city and maybe the entire country. The food was absolutely perfect, the service was good, and the price is unbelievable.
We love Salty Sow! The Happy Hour is great - honestly more for the food even than the cocktails. The chicken liver mousse is my idea of heaven, same with their truffled deviled eggs and those damn crispy brussel sprouts leaves. We also had the fried chicken with honey butter and I got a crispy catfish taco, which was incredibly good. Very happy to be back.
This place was a 10/10! We loved the creative cocktails and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Our server was great at providing recommendations! I’d happily eat everything again but the absolute standouts were the deviled eggs, the crispy Brussels sprouts and the pork belly! Sooo good.
Amazing as always!
