The Rabbit Hole
Dinner was wonderful. The server knew all about the food, and steared us toward good choices. I ordered an old fashioned with less sugar, and again enjoyed my drink. Total dinner success!!
Great Downtown Colorado Springs location with getaway-feel as you descend down below the street. Casual atmosphere with plenty of seating in niche areas for privacy or central seating to enjoy the energy of the restaurant. $3 beer/wine and half-price starters are worth a get together of friends looking to catch up. Wine list ample--chardonnay served at proper temperature, but the Cab/Shiraz served too warm. Burgers were great and the Lamb Shank while a meaty portion was for a lamb entree lover--nothing to draw you in certainly if you're not. Overall a great experience that we certainly didn't regret!
Visiting from North Carolina and Loved the
Place! Great spot to spend our last night in
Best restaurant experience ever. Loved the theme, food and drinks and service was outstanding.
Great food, service and atmosphere
This is our favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs! It's always a treat, and everyone who works there is amazing!!!
The rabbit hole has the coolest entrance, in my opinion, located on the sidewalk in front of the designated address. It's like an old subway entrance or something. The ambiance is relaxing and cozy and the food was very good. We had the rabbit meatloaf, Brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries (all very good) and a glass of the lamadrid cabernet sauvignon. The wine was excellent.
My husband and I have been here twice with family. It is our new go to place to bring out of town visitors. The menu has variety and so far everything we tried was awesome. Try the duck wings as a starter!
First time in Colorado Springs and we loved going to The Rabbit Hole- fun and artistic atmosphere, funky and well-run, yummy food! Appreciated the vegan and vegetarian options - everything well labeled! Look By forward to going back with the whole family.
Staff was incredible and the food was amazing. Will definitely go back when visiting the area again.
Super great staff and atmosphere
This is a great place to go!! My fiance proposed on Friday night!! My only complaint is that it was soooooooo loud... It would be great to have a section that's a little quieter. The food is absolutely fantastic!!
First I want to say our server was absolutely top notch. I couldn't ask for better. The décor is lovely and Alice in Wonderland themed and aside from it being totally inaccessible to people with mobility issues, the actual place was beautifully designed if you like the theme.
My only problem was the food, which unfortunately is primarily what you come to a place like this for. We ordered the Wild Mushroom appetizer which was ok. The portion was large but the mushrooms didn't have much flavor and the batter was greasy. My wife got the scallops for dinner, which were decent but nothing special and came with a minimal amount of asparagus, much to her disappointment. My meal made it look amazing by comparison. I got the rabbit stew, which had from what I could tell very little rabbit and was largely a gelatinous mass of flavorless pot pie with a badly prepared pre made puff pastry square on top. The portion size was very large. I couldn't eat more than a third of it, largely because it just didn't taste like anything. I will not go again.
Really enjoyed dinner at the Rabbit Hole. Very good food, priced well for the portions. Excellent mixed drinks! Will definitely return.
My husband and I recently ate dinner at the Rabbit Hole during a visit to Colorado Springs. We were really looking forward to it since we had read some good reviews. However, we were quite disappointed. The lighting in the restaurant is very dim. We found that one reason might be because the restaurant is not very clean. We were seated in a booth that had rips in the back with the stuffing spilling out onto the seat. A ledge next to our booth was covered in a thick layer of dust.
In regards to the food.....we started by ordering the "Rabbit Bites". They were extremely tough (overcooked) and had no flavor. I have fried rabbit many times, and if prepared correctly, it should not be tough. Our main course was the Buffalo Ribs. Again, we were very disappointed. They were quite tender, however, there was absolutely no flavor. The taste was very close to boiled beef with no seasoning.
We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This is one of our favorites! I always get the Newyork. They have lots of interesting dishes though. The history is awesome! I will leave it up to you to ask when you are there. Drink menu is cool as well. Great downtown spot!
The Rabbit Hole is a fun place to take out of town visitors. The menu is diverse and the atmosphere is fun. We go several times per year and it's always a good time.
Well worth a trip to this place. The food was great and the price was great as we went during happy hour.
Fun themed place. Great cocktails. Helpful staff.
Charming little restaurant. Had the filet and it was very good as well as the white rabbit martini with flaming marshmallow.
Once again, an excellent meal and experience. Third time visiting and haven't been disappointed once!
Service was fantastic and food was amazing ! Portion sizes and quality of food for price were exceptional. Loved their signature drink, cauliflower Mac, and brussel sprouts!
We had read the reviews. After a bit of a tough time locating the entrance, we were charmed by the decor and the "Alice in Wonderland" theme. We had a lovely booth. We both ordered cocktails that were unique and so tasty. We would recommend everything we ate whole heartedly. The nibbles were quite generous, unlike their name. The chicken with chorizo and the duck wings were so yummy, we inhaled them. My husband loved the mussels, his favorite. The lambshank was generous and cooked perfectly. Our waitress could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. When we received the bill, we were honestly surprised at the total,. Mentally, we were expecting a bill that was 50% higher! We left a nice tip and would love to return if we come back to town.
Ordered the steak and it didn’t have any flavor as well as my wife’s burger. Been here before and should’ve gotten the bacon wrapped prawn. The desert was great (Moon pie). Our waitress was excellent took care of everything.
We went to Rabbit Hole to celebrate the last day of my kids visiting from Pennsylvania. The atmosphere is unique and the food is delicious. The meals were prepared within a reasonable time and tasted delicious. The steak was a little bit "smoky" tasting and transferred into the vegetables making them a little less appetizing. My kids ordered the seafood pasta dish and loved it. I had a bite and found it to be very good as well. Rabbit Hole is unique and has a great ambiance for an intimate gathering if the crowd isn't too noisy that night.
Disappointed that multiple beverage options were not available due to stock issues.
The food and cocktails were great. I loved the atmosphere of the place. It was a unique experience eating underground like that. My only complaint was that the restaurant was noisy to the point that it was uncomfortable for my ears.
My husband and I LOVED this restaurant! Service was excellent and the food was amazing. My husband had bacon wrapped prawns that were stuffed with chorizo! I had a delicious steak served with broccolini and a cheddar bacon risotto cake- I can't stop thinking about this meal because it was that delicious.
Was my second time there and this time around I brought the team from a key business partner. The experience was fantastic, service was outstanding and the team really enjoyed the entire experience.
The menu has a lot to choose from .. we enjoyed all the choices however we didn’t choose wisely with the bunny bites they were ok but I wouldn’t recommend them. The ny strip was perfect and the risotto cake with it was super yummy 😋.. the Malbec paired well. Service was done well !!
As vegetarians there was little that we could eat that wasn’t fried, cheesy or just oily. Good flavors but not a great veg meal. It was our second visit so we were hoping for some impeo
Our food was amazing. We had mussels for an appetizer, lamb shank and buffalo ribs for dinner. Everything more than exceeded expectations.
Christa was our server. She was able to help us decide on food and beer choices that were just right!
I would highly recommend The Rabbit Hole for anyone in the Colorado Springs area.
The food was incredible service was great had a wide variety of options and fun cocktails. Great art work on the walls, true to the theme! I do wish they had more dessert options that were not free, I was there for my birthday and since I have a nut allergy my dessert options were very limited.
If you have a choice to pick a server, Rachel was amazing!! She made our experience over the top. If you have any questions about the menu whether it's food or drink. She has the knowledge to help you make the best decision for you.
Great food, ambiance and service! Thank you for making our Anniversary dinner delightful and memorable.
Great quirky place! Great food.
We love the Rabbit Hole! We come here with people from out of state, have business meetings over dinner, and go on date nights. The menu is phenomenal and slightly differs seasonally, plus the specials are amazing always. What a stellar restaurant!
Amazing service. I made a reservation for 2 with the special request "the most romantic seat in the house" and they delivered. It's such a cool restaurant and the entrance and decorations are beautiful. Food was exceptional and the service was amazing. It was our first romantic vacation and I'm so glad I chose this restaurant. Highly highly recommend it.
Food was great, however, there was a table of 5 young adults last night that were not only loud, but inappropriate and rowdy.
I had high expectations but was disappointed. The bunny bites were tough and chewy. The meatloaf not good. Lamb dish was very good and best dessert by far is moon pie. I wouldn’t go back though.
