The Rabbit Hole
Rabbit bites were tough. Waitress gave us water, then ignored us for a while.
Great little find with lots of interesting offbeat dishes. This is the kind of place I like, not your run of the mill.
Had a great dinner and the service from the hostess to the bar to our server was fantastic.
I love the Rabbit Hole and always bring out of town guests there as well.
Anytime I have out of town visitors coming in, I recommend that we meet at the Rabbit Hole just so they can get the experience of someplace that is truly unique. And the food never disappoints in being flavorful and also unique.
Held a work dinner at The Rabbit Hole and would highly recommend the great staff, awesome ambiance and food but most importantly the unique one of a kind experience. This place is one of the coolest restaurants I have ever been to.
We loved it, great for date night! Awesome atmosphere!
This place is amazing. I had family come into town, and I knew this was going to be the best place to bring them for something unique and delicious. It was a hit!
Great night out with my friends as always
Delicious food! Would definitely recommend!
Wonderful time as always. Only complaint was our waitress was very inattentive. She missed out on another round of drinks because she took too long to check in with us.
Over the years I feel our experience here get worse with each visit. This time around was a bit underwhelming to say the least. Atmosphere felt great walking in and down the stairs into the “cozy” underground restaurant. Lights dimmed, but not too dark. The vibe, however, fell apart when we reached our table. I’m not sure what it was, but something in the back corner (maybe a heater) would run intermittently and was loud AF — quite annoying.
Service was consistent with past visits — fairly attentive, but not very personable. Cocktails were decent and the meat and cheese plate wasn’t bad.
Dinner was good — both meals prepared well and were delicious, save for the mediocre presentation. The carrot cake, which is usually pretty good, was straight-up garbage.
With the influx of new restaurants downtown, there is nothing left about this place that makes it stand out.
This was by far my favorite dinner in the Springs!! Get the butcher block, you won’t regret it!
This is our second time eating dinner at The Rabbit Hole. The pros: great tasting appetizers and good service. The cons: difficult to carry on conversations due to noise levels at peak times (go after 8pm), disappointing entrees - especially for the price, and the back room smells musty.
I would maybe go back for early or very late appetizers and drinks, but won’t be back for dinner.
Place was cool. Bass was good but sides that came with it were just okay. White rabbit martini was yummy!
The food was good but the drinks were suspect. I ordered an expensive Pear Martini and it just tasted like Sweet & Sour mixed with some Vodka.
It was perfect. Great food amazing drinks. So romantic!
Service staff was great. They were friendly, fast and very helpful!
The moon pie dessert was fantastic. It was a nice surprise for one of our guest who was their birthday.
Overall, come for the decor and scenery. Service and cocktails are lackluster. Food was good, but the experience wasn’t as memorable in comparison to other restaurants in the area.
Most unique underground venue in the city. A must-visit. Christa was awesome taking care of our late night appetizers and drinks. Cozy booth was intimate for the two of us on Christmas Eve even with a large group at the center table next to us. We’ll be back!
We loved it! And it was a great value. Their martinis are amazing, as well as their other specialty drinks. The entrance sets the stage for unique ambiance and the wait staff were top notch.
Moon pie was to die fir
I love the rabbit hole for drinks and noshing. Dinner was a mistake.
Let me say that the server was fabulous....attentive and friendly. Everything else was mediocre. Made reservations weeks ago but was seated in the back "overflow" room next to a makeshift waitress station. Totally different vibe than the "real" dining room. 70s bar music was blaring and the lighting was odd...I felt like I should be ordering pitchers of beer and shooting pool. The table was terribly uncomfortable and we all kept hitting knees. Mushroom appetizer was delicious but bunny bites were chewy and inedible. Mashed potatoes were overwhipped and gluteny...rookie mistake. Shrimp were overcooked and mac-n-cheese was bland. I will definitely keep stopping in for happy hour and late night cocktails but will not be back for dinner.
The Rabbit Hole is an excellent choice for a delectable nibble in Colorado Springs. The food was spectacular with lots to choose from to please even the pickiest of eaters. The wait staff was knowledgeable of the menu and wonderful at assessing the needs of each guest in the restaurant. The restaurant is very on theme with the name and provides some unexpected menu options that play into the whimsical ambiance of Alice in Wonderland.
The atmosphere was great. Loved it! Good food and attentive staff. The only thing that I didn't like was the tables in the booths. the bottom of the tables on the floor are so wide neither my wife nor I could put our feet on the floor. It was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, this place was GREAT.
Our first visit back in far too long proved as charming as we remembered.
The Rabbit Hole as always was very good overall. I would avoid the mussels and Buffalo Ribs in the future, but the service and ambiance make up for any food concerns.
Cocktail and appetizers selection are very much on point!
I feel the same about the entrees as well, but I’ve heard some of my friend’s opinions and it’s a hit/miss I guess on whether ppl are fans of the entree menu...
I feel that the Rabbit Hole all around is a fun and unique establishment fit for dates, special occasions, etc!
Love this place♥️
Really unique place and awesome experience. It was everything I expected it to be & more!
The art is very well themed! Food and drinks are excellent and the service was quick. I would say they are very reasonable with their prices and I will absolutely go back. My only criticism would be for their off theme salt and pepper shakers.
What a find. Kind of reminded me lots of Denver melting pot, in the sense of a historic building being converted into a restaurant. Which I love. I had to google info about it after seeing it. Wish they would have had it on a card stock or something at the table. But egh. Limited food options but I think that helped to master the quality. Each of the four plates we received were all worthy of being ordered again. That doesn’t usually happen. Definitely recommend making a reservation on a busier night. I seen people standing when we arrived and still while we left. What a gem. The unique entrance and wall paintings made the kids talk for the rest of the night.
We went for my friends birthday and they didn’t do anything for it and did not even wish her a happy birthday. In addition, they said the meatloaf was gluten free and I had the worst gluten intolerance attack after eating it! I usually love rabbit hole but I was disappointed this time.
I was so impressed with The Rabbit Hole. I've always wanted to try it as I was intrigued by the underground setting. Not only was it unique inside, but the staff was friendly and helpful and the food was so amazing.
I was not sure what I was expecting from the food, but was more than satisfied. My boyfriend had the rabbit meatloaf which was so tender and flavorful. I had the Rabbit "pie", which was more of a stew, but oh my gosh so good. I don't even like stew so it was great to order something I wouldn't normally eat and enjoy it.
Our server was attentive without being pushy. She recommended the meatloaf and was so nice.
Came in from Cleveland at a high recommendation for this place and east disappointed!
Characteristic place, good food and kind service. We recommend it
We love eating here. The food is delicious and the service was outstanding. My only complaint at his last visit was there were a table of gentleman next us. it sounded like a business meeting and I could hear every word of the lecture during my dinner. It was not very relaxing on Friday evening after a busy work week. I could not even hear my husband talk to me during dinner as this table was a distraction.
Great food, we found this spot two years ago and loved it. We requested the table under the entry stairs which cozy and quieter. I had the cherry braised buffalo ribs and my wife the beef fillet. Both were delicious. A good bottle of wine and excellent service made it a very special evening.
The atmosphere is warm and enjoyable. Food was out of the normal, but delicious and the service was prompt while not being intrusive.
