El Pelican Club ofrece una amplia selección de platillos de Nueva Orleans y cuenta con 3 salones comedor y una amplia barra inspirada en las casas del siglo XIX del Barrio Francés. Este establecimieno está situado en la esquina de Bienville Street y Exchange Place, en pleno Barrio Francés. El propietario, Richard Hughes, y su esposa, Jean-Hughes Stinnett, han transformado una joya arquitectónica abandonada en un restaurante acogedor con una decoración que combina elementos tradicionales y contemporáneos. Cada salón tiene su propio ambiente, creado a partir de elementos tan diversos como ciprés de Louisiana pulido, pinturas contemporáneas de artistas de Nueva Orleans, grabados antiguos y bancas de cuero negro que crean un gran contrastes con las paredes de ladrillo de color crema. Everything was fantastic except the food. The duck was served dry and hard to chew and the rack of lamb was more than slightly overcooked, but passable. Sadly will have to pass from this point on. The ambiance is fantastic, the server was top notch. Change the chef.

Our Pelican Club meal was delicious and delightfully unfussy in comparison with meals at other restaurants who seemed to be competing solely on how many superfluous ingredients they could overwhelm a dish with. The roasted duck was the best. Our server, Randy, was attentive and helpful. We would return to the Pelican Club in an instant as part of any New Orleans return trip.

Excellent as usual. When in NOLA don’t miss this hidden gem. We found it by accident and have been back multiple times. One of the best restaurants in town and that’s saying a lot.

The restaurant was extremely noisy but the food and our server Jeremy made this a magical experience. He was very attentive to our needs and made sure that we would return.my wife and I ordered from the Coolinary menu enjoying the oysters, duck, salmon, and borratta. If you are planning on going the crème brûlée and espresso martini are a must to end your meal.

Gorgeous historic building, enjoyed being in the cozy wood paneled dining room. The coolinary menu had multiple options for all 3 course. Everything was delicious! (and large portions) so left stuffed. Service was amazing with a very high end atmosphere. highly recommend and would definitely come back at our next visit.

This was my first visit so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but I had high hopes as we've been thoroughly enjoying Coolinary and have had some incredible meals at some of our favorite places in town last few weeks! Now, I'll preface this by saying my boo and I are truly "foodies" (even though I hate that term). Lets say we are culinary-inclined and have pretty refined palates. He cooks I would say one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Among many other things. So that doesn't exactly help my discerning perspective. For starters, Alex was an excellent server and that part of it was fabulous. Some pointers for Pelican Club: Play some music--This is New Orleans. Burn a candle or two. And take care of the mold smell. That place has obviously flooded a few times and there's probably nothing can really be done but they should be TRYING to mitigate the smell-- walking in and smelling mold is pretty damn unappetizing. Now, everyone there was very nice from the hostess to the server. But the food quality was hit or miss. Soups: pretty good! Salad: absolutely foul -- whoever is reading this, PLEASE for the love of God fix that dressing! Gag -- anchovy was overwhelming -- I'm not easily grossed out -- but that was BAD. Like REALLY bad-- EASY fix. Gorgeous little gem lettuces, ruined by dressing. Might have been rancid not sure. Tasted a bit like bad oil. BUYER BEWARE. Scallop appetizer: very odd, just discombobulated. Just go cliche southern gulf style if you have to, hell, throw a buttery corn succatash on the plate and call it a day. But the weird boiled asparagus thing...no. Also put a little sear on your scallop and give it a nice crust. Flavor-wise the actual scallop wasn't awful. Desserts, bread, cocktails all good. Steak was underwhelming, and come on, those were instant mashed potatoes. For $250? Y'all can do better. You're so CLOSE! Great piece of real estate though-exchange place is a lovely quiet little respite, so much potential!

Menù alla carta oppure componibile oppure stile degustazione sulla base di due portate più dolce. Prese capesante, ostriche al forno, filetto mignon e piatto aragosta capesante gamberi. Tutto apprezzabile. Aragosta perfetta, in stile vagamente francese con salsa comunque delicata. Fuori molto carino, dentro fatevi mettere nella prima saletta che ha un’atmosfera migliore. Carta vini 6/10 con rappresentanza italiana migliorabile, più che come etichetta, come tipologia. Togliete un prosecco e mettete un Franciacorta o un Trento classico. Prezzo leggermente sopra la media ma dopotutto ci sta.
