The Bistro at Muriel’s Jackson Square offers contemporary Creole cuisine with New Orleans classics like Seafood Gumbo, Turtle soup, Shrimp & Grits and Wood Grilled Pork Chop while the Courtyard Bar is the perfect place to drop by for drinks and appetizers. The Séance Lounge is the place for a relaxed, comfortable meeting before or after dining. Comprised of two areas, The Outer Seance and The Inner Séance, the Séance also tells the story of a mystic checkered past. The Outer Séance addresses the New Orleans era of Storyville when Muriel's Jackson Square was one of the French Quarter's top bordellos! The Inner Séance is the preferred domain of the resident ghost, Pierre Antoine Lepardi Jourdan; it's the perfect spot for an intimate conversation or a drink among its plush surroundings. The food was amazing. Service wasn’t the best but I feel like it wasn’t terrible. Amazing cocktail choices. I had the Filet with greens and green beans.. both great sides… steak was cooked perfect at medium rare. The gumbo was amazing as well. I really wanna give it a 4.5 but I just can’t on the app. I definitely recommend with great service this place is a 5/5

My partner and I had an amazing experience overall! From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. There are multiple servers who check in and assist throughout your meal, which made us feel well taken care of. Our main server was pleasant and easygoing, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. I definitely recommend this spot for celebrating a birthday. Just a heads-up—this restaurant doesn’t offer a complimentary birthday dessert, but we ordered the three-layer chocolate cake, and it was absolutely delicious (and huge!)

Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine.

The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

In the late 1800’s, Royal Street was home to a famous “curio” shop, a place where curiosities from all over the world could be had for a dollar or two. Today, the shop is no more, but the feeling of excitement and wonder still exists on Royal Street today. And so in the heart of the most premier art district in New Orleans, we’re bringing back the curiosity – reintroducing New Orleans to a circus of flavor so vibrant it makes other restaurants nearby pale in comparison.

I tried Curio for lunch during Restaurant week. I went at an early time and got seated immediately as requested on the patio. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I opted for the RW special and enjoyed the appetizer more than the meal. The app was grit tots and the entree was crawfish cavatappi. The pasta was also great and had a good amount of crawfish, unfortunately it was a little heavy for lunch on a HOT day. I still recommend it, but I should have tried something lighter.

Bayou des Familles, a lazy waterway home to many alligators, turtles, egrets and other wildlife, takes center stage as our restaurant’s design provides its diners with a natural picture show. It’s in this unique setting where friends and family unite to experience southern Louisiana charm and culture in its finest form. It’s an experience not to be soon forgotten.

The 15-mile drive from downtown New Orleans will take you through the Jean Lafitte National Park. You’ll arrive at Restaurant des Familles and park under moss-filled century-old oak trees. The restaurant’s Acadian-style architecture provides a glimpse of bayou life that once was.

Our menu features authentic representations of Cajun and Creole favorites such as Crawfish Etouffée, Seafood & Okra Gumbo, Seafood Platters and Turtle Soup. Our signature dish, Alligator Stuffed Mushrooms with Alligator Sauce Piquant, will tempt even the most timid diner.

We look forward to your visit.

Absolutely the best soft shell crab I have ever eaten. Do not pass it up! We also had the crabmeat au gratin for appetizer and had so much lump crabmeat in it. Served with buttered crostinis and the 3 of us had to slow down so we had room for the soft shell crab show. My husband and daughter had the soft shell crab sandwich and had seafood gumbo and a soft shell crab a La carte. Holy moly this was an amazing experience!! This restaurant is off the beaten path but so worth the drive. Lunch for 3 was $105 no cocktails.

Compère Lapin - noun - "kom-pare la-pan" - 1. anthropomorphic rabbit character who served as the mischievous protagonist in Creole and Caribbean folk tales; 2. Chef Nina Compton's restaurant at the Old No 77 Hotel & Chandlery in the Warehouse Arts District of New Orleans.

Meals aren’t about trends, shock value, or opulence.
Meals are about moments, memories and those who surround you at your table.
We believe in the complexity of simplicity, and the power of pure flavors. Our histories, vast and varied, deserve to be memorialized and romanticized by dishes that at once remind us of home and transport us to somewhere new.

We don’t make food for everyone else, we make food for you.

Celebrating birthday and wanted to do something local. Just haven’t been impressed with ‘the steak house’ restaurant. Haven’t been to buddies in a few years. Very concern after reading so many negative reviews. So glad I did not let that influence me. My filet was the most tender that I can recall from any restaurant! It looked small for a 8 oz but the tenderness was way more than expected. Husband had the ‘stack’, he said it was good but next time would get filet. He said mine was better! I read comments on value and for this type grade of restaurant, of course, it’s not cheap. No quality restaurant is! It’s a higher end restaurant so of course it’s not McDonald’s price!!! It is compatible to any high end restaurant. It is expensive going out anywhere but for the price haven’t had a better filet & a garlic sauce. Friday night and all the servers were also higher end. Get what you pay for.

Afternoon tea at the Ritz Carlton NOLA is always a treat. The Devonport Lounge is a very nice setting to enjoy this service, and a professional harpist provides a classy and subdued soundtrack. Our primary server was truly outstanding, but there seemed to be one in training who maybe struggled a bit with English and hadn't yet learned the ropes properly. The teas are wonderful, with a good selection and a teapot that probably serves 6-8 full cups of tea. While the scones were not warm, they were very good and of quality, perfectly paired with the house jam and lemon curd. The only issue I could highlight was that the tea seatings where quite far from the harpist, which made both hearing and seeing her play problematic. And since there is a thoroughfare from a hotel entrance to the lobby, we had experienced a lot of foot traffic which also detracted from our experience. We will, however, continue to do afternoon tea with the Ritz whenever we are in town.
