   This was my first visit so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but I had high hopes as we've been thoroughly enjoying Coolinary and have had some incredible meals at some of our favorite places in town last few weeks! Now, I'll preface this by saying my boo and I are truly "foodies" (even though I hate that term). Lets say we are culinary-inclined and have pretty refined palates. He cooks I would say one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Among many other things. So that doesn't exactly help my discerning perspective. For starters, Alex was an excellent server and that part of it was fabulous. Some pointers for Pelican Club: Play some music--This is New Orleans. Burn a candle or two. And take care of the mold smell. That place has obviously flooded a few times and there's probably nothing can really be done but they should be TRYING to mitigate the smell-- walking in and smelling mold is pretty damn unappetizing. Now, everyone there was very nice from the hostess to the server. But the food quality was hit or miss. Soups: pretty good! Salad: absolutely foul -- whoever is reading this, PLEASE for the love of God fix that dressing! Gag -- anchovy was overwhelming -- I'm not easily grossed out -- but that was BAD. Like REALLY bad-- EASY fix. Gorgeous little gem lettuces, ruined by dressing. Might have been rancid not sure. Tasted a bit like bad oil. BUYER BEWARE. Scallop appetizer: very odd, just discombobulated. Just go cliche southern gulf style if you have to, hell, throw a buttery corn succatash on the plate and call it a day. But the weird boiled asparagus thing...no. Also put a little sear on your scallop and give it a nice crust. Flavor-wise the actual scallop wasn't awful. Desserts, bread, cocktails all good. Steak was underwhelming, and come on, those were instant mashed potatoes. For $250? Y'all can do better. You're so CLOSE! Great piece of real estate though-exchange place is a lovely quiet little respite, so much potential!

   Menù alla carta oppure componibile oppure stile degustazione sulla base di due portate più dolce. Prese capesante, ostriche al forno, filetto mignon e piatto aragosta capesante gamberi. Tutto apprezzabile. Aragosta perfetta, in stile vagamente francese con salsa comunque delicata. Fuori molto carino, dentro fatevi mettere nella prima saletta che ha un’atmosfera migliore. Carta vini 6/10 con rappresentanza italiana migliorabile, più che come etichetta, come tipologia. Togliete un prosecco e mettete un Franciacorta o un Trento classico. Prezzo leggermente sopra la media ma dopotutto ci sta.

   Alex, the server, was wonderful and the rest of the staff was quite good as well. The dishes, while good, were a little bit disappointing.

   Food was not worth the price you pay. Service was the other issue. Not very busy, slow to respond, slamming the food plate on the table and even delivered a dish over my wife’s head. Don’t recommend this restaurant at all

   First time for our group and we were not disappointed. Duck schnitzel was fabulous. The heirloom tomato salad was lovely. Our friends had it too. The cioppino was terrific per our friends. Loved the crème brûlée. Great service. We will be back.

   Ate in the bar area. Caddy, our server, was helpful and polite. Food was outstanding. Ever wondered if you’d like escargot? They do some of the best anywhere. Classic dishes and some surprises. It’s all really and it’s hard to go wrong, especially if you get the prixfixe menu three courses at a savings over the alarm carte.

   Outstanding service! Delicious food! Got seafood martini. It a martini glass filled/ shrimp& crabmeat & potato salad. It was mostly seafood. Got fish top w/ hollandaise sauce & crabmeat.Sides were green beans & also potatoes. Every bite was perfectly prepared. Dessert was coconut pie . It was another great dish!

    As always, the best service, food, atmosphere in the city....Started coming here for Coolinary, but always return ----Extensive menu and never had anything not totally up to par!!Great wine list also....I love whole Flounder and they always prove to be the best....The Cioppino will match Scoma's in San Francisco, if not better....My Fav is the Seafood Martini----could do for just the meal!! Our server, because of the great wine can't remember his name, was Fantastic!!!! The menu has something for everyone ..It is in a very safe, walkable are of NOLA!!!!! ENJOY!!
