The Pelican Club is a contemporary New Orleans restaurant located on historic Exchange Place in the French Quarter. The entrance is via the Bar which overlooks Exchange Place through a wall of arched, wood-mullioned windows and leads into three dining rooms featuring original artworks by contemporary Louisiana artists.

Since opening the doors in 1990, chef and owner, Richard Hughes has offered a diverse menu based in south Louisiana tradition with French, Italian, and Asian influences reflecting the rich culinary culture of the city. Enjoy fresh seasonal specialties including Baked Oysters, Clay Pot “Barbequed” Shrimp, Seafood Martini, Crispy Whole Flounder, Trio of Duck, Prime Filet Mignon and Louisiana Cioppino in its own pot.

The Pelican Club features an extensive wine list highlighting the the regions of California, Italy and France.

Host groups from 20 to 200 for events ranging from cocktail parties and seated dinners to receptions.

We can accommodate groups from 20 to 200 for events from cocktail parties to 4-course seated dinners with menus customized for your event.

    Vegan options were very good. Butternut squash soup REALLY good! Very happy there was tofu in the pasta dish. Really tasty!

    Food selection was good. Server seemed a bit overwhelmed with large parties...noise level was very loud...couldn't hear each other talk.

    Service was great and the food perfect. Everything on the menu looks great, we had the lamb, scallops, whole fish and stuffed fish all of which was delicious 😋

    One of Jewels in French Quarter! Everyone is like family and tend to every whim. Can’t say enough to express how much we enjoy every dish we have eaten over the many years we have dined here. The Crispy Fish is a religious experience. The Staff and Richard are always at top of their game.

    Overall a good experience. Our server was attentive. However there seemed to be confusion in the kitchen. Twice they brought the wrong dish to our table. The food was very good.
