The Melting Pot - Houston
We are the premier fondue restaurant, centrally located on Westheimer, providing a casually elegant dining experience and an intimate atmosphere. The relaxing four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side and fresh salads while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of meats, seafood and vegetables in the cooking style of your choice. Each bite is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces. Chocolate fondue is the finale, served with decadent dippers. Most make reservations for the four-course dining experience but more than a few have stopped by to satisfy that cheese fondue or chocolate craving. The Melting Pot also features a great wine list, specialty cocktails and martinis.

Awesome experience as it was our first time. Loved that our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful through this process and made our anniversary dinner fun.
Birthday celebration! We had a great dinner!! It was delicious.
It was our first visit to the restaurant, loved the ambience and service. Jasmine was an exceptional server. However, being a vegetarian, I would love to see more options on the menu in future.
Overall experience was pleasant.
As always, one of the best dinner experiences you can have. Amazing 4 course meal. We brought my brother and his wife for their first experience and they will be back! Definitely a must try for those who haven’t been here yet.
Very enjoyable experience.
Wonderful evening! Knowledgeable, attentive server, delicious food in all courses.
Felt rushed and server was not over attentive.
My son’s birthday was great at the Melting Pot. Great food, good service and really a treat.
Such a fun experience for my friend and I as we took our daughters on a girls night dinner! They had the best time and the food was amazing!
This was my first time and I will definitely be back! If you want a different dining experience I highly recommend this place.
It was great, but not preparing the cheese at the table takes away from the total experience. I hope they bring it back soon.
Be prepared to “Cook” your own food, honestly didn’t like it…
a wonderful experience. Perfect romantic dinner for lovers. Plan at least 2 hours of your time.
Great service and atmosphere!
Will return again very soon!
We came here for my wife's birthday and had a great time. They set up balloons with a teddy bear & chocolate, wine , took a picture of us & framed it. Made my wife's day. The food was amazing and the drinks were delicious. You don't leave hungry, that's for sure.
Good food good drinks
Cast iron grilling needs to be better. I recommend a higher quality cast iron.
Love that they now offer a grilling option to cook your food!!
This place never disappoints. Our waiter Shaun was fabulous. Their wait staff is always helpful and extremely well trained.
We went to Melting Pot to just have their amazing dessert and dessert cocktails. It was immediately apparent the server was not happy we weren’t eating a full course. She was annoyed to serve us and rushed us out. Brought our check when we were about to order coffee. We asked for a refill on a water and she brought us a to-go cup of water.
WELL EXCUUUUSE ME!
We won’t be back.
The waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was good. Always enjoyed this place for special occasions.
We came for the BFFF Wednesday night deal. It was awesome and delicious. We added a single entree and had 2 beers. Our total came to about $100 before tip. Expensive, but totally worth it.
Awesome experience as always. Love the new BFFF options and additions. So glad we had a catch up meeting. Love the ability to catch up with out having to worry about time at the table... one knows when coming here it will take a while.
The Melting Pot is a great place for older teenagers and young adults. However it is incredibly expensive for average food. But, it does provide for a unique experience. So, you make the call.
Went to the Melting on Father's day and ordered the endless entre. My complaint is the automatic tip of 20% which was added to my bill. When I Inquired about it, I was told it was because the wait staff was working very hard....I believe I will be the judge of how hard they worked for me...I would rate the service I received as below average for that level of restaurant. And to top it off the 20% tip was calculated after taxes. So not only was I tipping for food but also for the tax. And when questioned the waiter acknowledged everything and even stated he believes it is illegal to have a mandatory tip and tips should be calculated pre-tax. And of course he blamed it on the system.. which has to be programmed by someone.. So beware of their automatically added tips. This put a damper on the whole experience and ruined our night.
Service was awful. We were first time visitors, and we never even got a rundown of the menu or how things worked. She went through the motions of taking our order, but that's about it. We were left to fend for ourselves.
Truly enjoyed the experience. From the front to the back everyone was fantastic. We felt welcomed from the very start. The hostesses were very warm and welcoming on entering and exiting the restaurant. We met the bartender on the way out and he was awesome. What the made the experience the best aside from the food, was our very personable and knowledgeable waiter, Jordan. Jordan was the absolute best and we look forward to dining there again. Thank you Jordan and everyone at The Melting Pot for the unforgettable experience.
Went for Father’s Day. Food was VERY good, waiter was EXCELLENT & the whole vibe was cozy and personal. We will be back!
We love to come here for special occasions. Great vegetarian option.
The food was not all that flavorful, The cheese has a beer aftertaste even after switching it out. Meat not seasoned wasnt a fav place of mine.
Excellent ambiance, staff very knowledgeable of menu, they did not rush us through the courses, had a great experience.
Amazing food and the staff was great.
Great spot to have a nice dinner. Just make sure your not in a rush, if you do the 3 course meal you will be there for a couple of hours.
Be prepared for lots of food. The alpine fondue is wonderful.
The real star here is the cheese fondue, of course. If you want it mixed at your table, you now have to ask. The salads are good, as are the proteins and sauces. Grilling makes them a bit more flavorful. The dessert fondue is great, and the dippers are good.
Prices continue to go up. A 4 course meal is up to $50 to start (if you order a couple at a time). If you're going solo, you have to order a la carte, at a higher price (you used to be able to get a 3 or 4 course meal for 1, but now the menu makes you order in twos to get a better price, and upgrades add to the cost).
Honestly, I feel a meal for one could be shared between two, especially for those who are lighter eaters. Our bill for family of 4, with 2 couples meals and 4 teas, came to $235 before tip. You're not getting gourmet food. I guess you're paying for the "experience" as much as the food. We don't dine here often, but I'll definitely be splitting meals on future visits. Plan for about 2 hours for a 4 course meal.
I also was there for my birthday. Other than a greeting by the host, the waiter made no mention of it. You used to get a plate that said happy birthday, with a cupcake or such. It seems they no longer keep track or do anything out of the ordinary for a special occasion. There were no more photos taken by staff either.
Always a great experience. I love this place
Everything was amazing
