The Melting Pot - Houston
We are the premier fondue restaurant, centrally located on Westheimer, providing a casually elegant dining experience and an intimate atmosphere. The relaxing four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side and fresh salads while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of meats, seafood and vegetables in the cooking style of your choice. Each bite is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces. Chocolate fondue is the finale, served with decadent dippers. Most make reservations for the four-course dining experience but more than a few have stopped by to satisfy that cheese fondue or chocolate craving. The Melting Pot also features a great wine list, specialty cocktails and martinis.

Great experience, pleasant
It's overpriced, I'm not coming back to this place.
Some of the lowlights, not enough amount of cheese, limited toppings, they just bring you bread and broccoli, due to covid we couldn't use a chair and we ended up having 4 people around one stove and 1 person on the other one.
Chocolate fondue better than the cheese one.
Excellent waiter (Yip) made sure we were taken care of, especially noting substitutions for my date's gluten-free requirements.
We were seated in a very noisy area despite putting on the reservation it was a date and would like a quite table. Our server took a while to get to us but once he did he was very nice and fairly attentive. The food was good, we've been to other melting pots and it was the same. The stove top did move in the middle of the table and the staff seemed upset to be there but overall was a good meal and a good server.
Great experience and food quality. It’s the perfect dinner for any special occasion. A little expensive for everyday dining, but it has become our go-to choice for anytime we want to celebrate an event.
Wonderful time. Will come back again. Clean. Socially distanced. Quiet. Attentive server. Clean restrooms.
Wonderful safe experience. The food and service was excellent.
Delicious and delightful! The Melting Pot has always been on of my favorite places to eat.
The food is always fabulous. The restaurant itself could use a bit of a makeover. It kind of looks like a 1980s-era Bennigans with all the wood and clunky booths (good for COVID though). The staff was very attentive and sweet.
My girlfriend is a foodie and loves unique experiences. She had never been, so I surprised her with dinner here with a couple friends. Even though we were seated at the end of the night and were the last people in the restaurant, we weren’t rushed. The food was good quality and the presentation fun. We ate at a 2 star Michelin restaurant last week in Vegas and I think she enjoyed this more...
This was my first time at the melting pot. I did expect a little bit higher and quality and the tables and Decour. Some of the skewers were dirty when we got them. The food was good but not super high end. The meet was good as well. It was a great experience probably won’t be back though.
Excellent service great food quiet place to enjoy family on my Wife’s birthday
Trying to enjoy a quiet birthday date. It was great til 6 drunk twenty somethings were sat at the table next to us.
It was a very good meal. It was very quiet on a Wednesday night. The one drawback was that after starting out as very attentive, our server disappeared for literally over 30 minutes. The layout with high backed booths with added plexiglass barriers made me feel the most comfortable of any restaurant in terms of COVID protection.
We had an awesome meal!
Birthday for my son... service was not as good as usual.
Great restaurant, wait staff amazing
We went out to the Melting Pot to celebrate our Anniversary. We ordered based off of waiter recommendations but were quickly disappointed with the presentation and taste of the products. Our waiter did not explain what any of the dipping items were or how long to leave them on. I had also been explicit while making the reservation that it was for our anniversary and the host did congratulate us, but the waiter said nothing. We also knew that the Melting pot was expensive but when the bill came - my face actually flushed. We will pay for a nice full dinner, just was very upset to have to pay $170 for two people for a lackluster celebration. Felt like we could make it at home 10x better and 10x cheaper.
Over priced. Super sub par food. Really low quality.
Went here for my birthday and I had a good time! This was our third time eating here and it was exceptional. We definitely will be back!
Really good. Quite. Always leave happiest than we came. Food is fantastic
As always, perfect place for a group date night! Delicious food and great service!
Melting pot has become one of the places I visit for a much needed date night. Love the experience and the food.
We had a very pleasant anniversary dinner at The Melting Pot. Good, tasty food options and especially pleasant and helpful service (thank you, Shaun!). And it's a great location for a dinner table conversation — the time spent cooking/dipping one's food item by item lends itself naturally to discussion opportunities, as well as appreciating each of those bites as you consume them. In these pandemic times, eating out has become far less common, something my wife has not been comfortable doing much. But when asked whether/where she might want to dine out for our anniversary, she immediately said The Melting Pot — and we had a very nice, enjoyable time there.
My son was celebrating his 10th birthday and he requested his favorite restaurant. The Melting Pot did not disappoint. Their COVID-19 protocols were second to none, and our waiter was top notch. They made his birthday a special day. We can’t wait to return.
Overall restaurant decor was boring and dull. Plus, we didn’t like the fact that we had to cook our own food, but then again this was our first time to this place. I don’t think we’ll be back.
The food that you cook yourself is good. But it is worth going one time. Everything is average.
The service is really really good.
The food is always excellent. Since people starting bringing small children, it's not as quiet as it used to be. The waitstaff is usually very good.
Went with friends for my birthday. Great ambiance. Lots of privacy. Great social distancing. Wish we had more burners per table. The spelling was awesome
Great service- fun night!
Food was good. Cooked it myself. Service could have been a little better.
We come every year for my daughters birthday since she was 15. This week we celebrated 26th. Was a great time as usual. Our server Will was very attentive. A little slow start but made up for it.
outstanding service-- Yay Jordan!!!, good social distancing, one of my favorites but even more so for value during Houston Restaurant Weeks
Excellent as always!
Sucks. Of all my years eating out. By far the worst place I've been to. Wanna recreate it for 1/10 the price? Get some water throw some wine and boil your meat.
Lipstick was found on my beverage glass from a previous patron during the Covid crisis, our server rushed our meal until I spoke with the manager, and the manager was pretty undisturbed by the whole ordeal. As a longtime patron of this chain I was very disappointed.
Not worth the price. Approximately $50 per person for very small portions of food. I could have spent the same amount of money at Fogo de Chao and gotten 2-3 times the food for the same price. Small pieces of bread and veggies, hard to spear with fondue forks.
My coworker and I had an early dinner during HRW here on a Friday. It was a great time. The food and service was great. The server and her assistant came around every so often, but not too much to feel bombarded. They seemed to be monitoring from afar because when we were ready for our next course, they were ready for us. It is not a quick bite to eat, it is an experience. I'm going back for drinks today! Their drinks!!! sooooooooooooo yummmmmmmmy!!!
