My husband and I went to the melting pot on a Friday evening after making a reservation through Open Table. We were seated on time and our waiter came to take our drink order quickly so we did not have a chance to review the menu yet. He agreed to come back in a few minutes; however, did not return for over 10 minutes. He forgot to bring our waters after speaking with him about it on two separate occasions, and we eventually asked someone else if they could bring us some water. We ordered the Mojo cooking style with our main course, and the waiter brought our pot with our meat items. We started cooking our meats (already in the pot) and he came back and said he forgot to make it to the correct style. He proceeded to dump a "flavor packet" on top of our meats cooking in the pot, and squeeze in some lemon/lime juice. This made everything cooking extremely saturated with the flavor and not pleasant to eat what so ever.
The menu prices are lower compared to the last time we ate at the Melting Pot which was a nice surprise and the reason I gave 3 stars.
This experience did not live up to the standards I have previously experiences at The Melting Pot.
Was great overall but took over 3 hrs to eat due to delays in the kitchen.
Long story short, it was much too expensive for one person and the manager and or manager was not shy about rushing me out the door about a half hour after the establishment closed. Usually, I would not have been the person to be there as the last table, but I made a reservation a half hour before they closed and was not served my second/last course until a half hour after they closed. Waitress was wonderful. Management was not. $70.00 for one person, (me) not including tip. Not worth it in my opinion.
My only issue was service was Soooooooooooooooooooooo slow.. our waitress was also tending to a large party and we were left waiting for every part of our meal...
Our service was fantastic!! We did have a waitress come by to clear our table and seemed annoyed when we said we weren't finished with our cheese course. That was a slight downer... but we had a great time, non-the-less.
Most of their servers walked out that day and service was good but slow. Our first time at a restaurant like this. We were there for my daughters 13 birthday. Very expensive and we had to cook our own food. Have had the experience, won't do again.
It was a very tough night for the staff , apparently half the staff quit before dinn so we were late getting seated and the service was slow all night but they did all they could to make it as enjoyable as possible . The food was amazing, just a very tough night for staff
We got sat in the back by a family who brought their young children who screamed the entire time, after our first course we barely saw our waitress again, and dinner took nearly three hours because of the poor service. Food was great as always but the service might keep us away from the Melting Pot for a while...
Our first time here and we were celebrating our 4 year anniversary- our server was awesome and explained everything and made us so Comfortable We will be back just because of him
This was my first experience at The Melting Pot. The wait staff was a bit overworked, it seemed, but when present was exceptionally helpful. The food was good, and our server went out of her way to accommodate my husband's need for soft food due to his recent dental work (actually, that was why we chose a fondue restaurant rather than some other venue). The menu options were a bit confusing, but again, our server was extremely knowledgeable and very solicitous. A good experience overall.
Very romantic, secluded tables. Food was good. Service was excellent.
We went for lunch and had the lunch menu. All were quite tasty but quite expensive for what it was. Might be good for a special occasion.
Our server was new. He also seemed to have tables far away. He did his best to check in on us. But, we are ready to leave at 2 hours. Service took about 2 and a half this time. We understand his speed of service will improve with time. But, I think he was overworked that night.
Had an amazing time for our anniversary would come again in the furute
Everything was wonderful except having hot oil splashed on me from another server who was rushing way too much. Our server the the most wonderful person I’ve ever had there.
This is a place you go for a special occasion and expect to get service that reflects fine dining. So many things went wrong it was like a comedy or errors and no apology was given. Is there a manager at this place?
Hello so I was at the melting pot for my sisters birthday and we were so excited but to start off even though we had a reservation our table wasn’t ready, the hostess went to seat us and had us walk through a bunch of spilled drinks then the table was dirty so we had to walk back through the mess to finally get a clean table our server was barley there and it took us a total of 3 hours to finish dinner do to our waiter not being around to take our order and almost all of the dishes we were initially given were dirt as well very disappointed especially when the bill came out to almost 300 dollars will not be back
The Melting Pot never disappoints! I love that my partner and I were able to share the 4 course dinner. Perfect birthday!
It was an amazing experience! I only have one recommendation: the seating across from the kitchen with the storage door completely ruins the atmosphere, and the constant interruptions from kitchen staff retrieving supplies was distracting. You should consider moving those tables.
We had a wonderful server but I have never been to a place where they make you cook your own food and at $50 a person it’s absurd! They let you pick ONE cooking style for the table..who grills/frys all of there food? No one because a plate of food should have variety. Overall I do not understand how food you make yourself can be so expensive. Will not be returning.
Waste of money. Incredibly expensive for fragments of food, chocolate syrup and queso, paired with vin Eztremely Ordinaire.
Poor value, ambience, and quality... the server was pleasant.
The food was great. Our waiter Victor was hot, I’d hit that. Thank you for making my first visit to the melting pot awesome.
Great experience. Delicious food. Fantastic service. A bit pricey, but worth it.
Always a great experience! Quiet, private, and the staff are wonderful.
The food was good overall but I do not think it is worth the $50/person. Drinks were $10 & were only mediocre. We were there for our anniversary, which was told to our server but there was no mention or acknowledgement. This was a one & done for me.
This was a great dinning experience as always. The Melting Pot never let's us down!
Cheese and dessert courses are worth the money. They put us in a lovely secluded corner where we were promptly forgotten for at least ten -15 mins. Luckily the manager ended up discovering and serving us and he was great and did his best to make it up to us.
The only problem was the salads. Although it said they had candied nuts or pinon, there was only lettuce and a ton of salad dressing. Not very appetizing for the price. Our server was amazing, very friendly and helpful.
Food was good, not as great as I had heard. Price was high for the amount of food served. It was more about the experience.
I love Melting Pot and eat here often. Service is always good as is food and I rarely have complaints. Cheese was extremely thick this time. Did not bother to say anything as server did not come back to check to see if everything was ok and, as a cheese lover, I ate it anyway. It just did not stick well to the bread or vegetables as it was too thick. Also, server would remove food from the table without asking if we were done with it.
I also felt extremely rushed to eat the cheese as the server brought the meat pan over before we were half way done and said she needed to put it on the burner as it takes awhile to heat up. I have never had this happen before and, I have used that type of cooking style before. To me the cheese should have stayed on the burner until we were done with that course and another course should never have been started.
When we were all done with the cheese we did tell the server that it was exceptionally thick and we were going to ask for it to be thinned but no one ever came back so we ate it. It was not even acknowledged that we even said anything.
Won't keep us away though ... WE LOVE THE PLACE.
It was our first time dinning at the melting Pot, and it was fantastic.
Celebrated my birthday with family and friends and had a really good time. Server was very attentive and very fun to have. Everything was delicious and will go there again !
Victor was awesome food was great very pricey but enjoyed our 9yr anniversary dinner
The manager totally worked with us on seating and happy hour specials . . . AMAZING considering some of our other experiences this week visiting Albuquerque. Plus the food and wait staff was superb. A definite special night out for 2 ! ! !
It wasn’t amazing. Service is slow, (Nathan not the most energetic or efficient, had to keep asking other servers for things and clear our table), the food is low quality for the price. I didn’t enjoy boiling the filet mignon, or salmon. It’s just an odd thing to do. It’s a good place for happy hour decent prices on the happy hour menu. The chocolate was ok. It didn’t wow me.
I am feeling 'done' with the Melting Pot. My son loves it for the chocolate and dessert, and that is always fun and yummy. But, seriously, we had the Cheddar Cheese Fondue first, and there were micro cuts of apples (too many) and SOme of the other dippers. There were 4 of us and we ordered 2 portions. The portion was fair but the 'flair' was gone! I am feeling as if I am paying a Kings Ransom for a McDonalds full deal meal. I can no longer 'deal' with the high price, fair service, mediocre atmosphere. The lights are not dim, or ambiance, they are just ON. My waitress was nice but too cutesy and really kind of ditsy. It took more than 10 minutes for water and my drink, then she never refilled the waters...Ever. She came back a couple of times during our meals but wouldn't take the dirty plates until I asked her to...Hm. Thats a major pet peeve of mine. I was with 3 teenagers who actually didn't eat all the dessert...that was odd too...The fancy Toothless Shark Bite for the kids was about $6.00 for a Shirley temple basically. And one kid thought it was 'too sweet' with the sweet dessert and left it sitting to melt down...Nothing was AMAZING as it was when they first opened many years ago. I usually go several times a year, but I feel like I am 'over this' and may not have to go again until my sons birthday next year.
Service was extremely slow. Waited 20 min for our waiter to come and take drink order. Spent 3 1/2 hours having dinner in which it was an anniversary dinner. There was nothing special about the Melting Pot experience. Would not recommend for anniversary or any special occasion, was really looking forward to the experience and was sorely disappointed from the moment I walked in with the unprofessional staff. What a shame.
Our first visit there, everything was excellent with the exception of the boiling of the meat 🥩especially when the table next to us was searing their meat. We were a little thrown off by this part. We will prob just do a 3 course with out the meat, next time.
My wife and I loved our experience at the melting pot. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a different dining experience.
