We were at the Med on one of the last nights of dine in service prior to the COVID19 shutdown, and even though there was a ti=one of uncertainty, all of the staff were "on their game". We especially appreciated the friendly and engaging service from our waiter, Casey.
Haven’t eaten here in quite awhile and I have to say the food was terrible. Not like I remember. Pizza had way too many red pepper flakes. My wife’s hanger steak was burnt to a crisp. My sons Paella was very average. Service was outstanding and the only saving grace. Kitchen needs some help.
Grest service and delicious food.
The restaurant has a cool, relaxed feeling. The service was attentive but not overly so. The food was wonderful. We shared a variety of Tapas and each of us (5) ordered a full meal. The filet I ordered was amazing. Everyone in our party loved their meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
One of our favorites for tapas menus! Bring back the pastilles please!!!!
Mom’s weekend for my daughter’s sorority.
Delicious and interesting! One of my favorite meals ever....I will be going again!
Rachel, our server, was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great.
We dined with our granddaughter and her fiancé to catch up on their lives and to discuss an up coming trip together. We were seated immediately though the restaurant was quite busy. We ordered drinks on the happy hour menu; the red and white sangrias were especially delicious and refreshing. We ordered over a dozen dishes from the hot and cold tapas menu and shared everything. What a wonderful variety of flavors and textures. Our waiter carefully spaced the delivery of each group of dishes so that we were never overwhelmed with too many at once, giving us plenty of room to pass dishes while sharing and to be able to savor the wide range of flavors and textures. We spent over two hours chatting and enjoying both the company and the food, never feeling rushed by the staff. I highly recommend The Mediterranean for convivial get-togethers with friends and family.
Great happy hour tapas!
We had a nice dinner before a show at Boulder Theatre!
Charlie our server was OUTSTANDING!!!
Food was so delicious as always
Great GF options and amazing appetizers for happy hour!
Happy our is a blessing!! We were able to try so many things without it costing too much! Great food, great service. Super happy!!
First, we had a group of 11 people and were pleased that The Med would allow us to make a reservation for a large group. Our table was ready when reserved. The Med allowed us to run separate checks for each couple. Some in our group required gluten free food or vegetarian food, and both were accommodated nicely. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food selections, and the desserts we tried were very good. The special February dessert was exceptional! Overall, we had a great meal together at The Mediterranean and would definitely return the next time we are visiting Boulder.
Love The Med!
Service was not very good. Came in on a Saturday night and waited about 15 minutes with nobody coming over to our table. Finally we got somebody's attention and a server came over to our table.
We arrived much earlier than anticipated and ended up choosing bar seating instead of our regular table. We had fantastic service, the food, as always, was so good, and, while there was plenty of boisterous conversation all around, we were still able to chat and catch up and enjoy our evening.
We go to the Med for the Tapas. The tapas menu changes from time to time, but the food is always good. This time it seemed even better than usual. Everything was outstanding.
The food was average. Ordered ribs, ahi tuna, steak, cheese board, and an entree. The ribs were overcooked (burnt actually) and the ahi tuna was not fresh. It had a dull grey color so we were not interested in eating it. The server was awesome, but for what we paid we wish the food was better especially for Valentine's Day.
Was good. Nice spot for a Valentines celebration with friends. Food great. Service even better.
For Valentine’s Day one would probably expect some sort of extra wait for food but everything came out in a very reasonable time and even looking at other tables near us no one seemed to wait very long for either food or drinks. I love this place!
The rice in the paella was a bit dry, lovely other than that!
Four of us ordered a large assortment of tapas and made a dinner of them -- they were excellent, as usual.
Enjoyable dinner during HH. Shared delicious small plates. Split a pasta special - it was ok, not as good as the tapas. Service and value were excellent
The tapas were absolutely incredible and the Happy Hour menu was on-point. Our service was also impeccable and overall we had such a great time! If we hadn’t made a reservation we would have been a bit bummed to have to wait so long (it was a 90 minute wait when we arrived) but with just a little planning ahead we had zero issues.
Great food and wine. Fun atmosphere close to St Julien
Amazing food, excellent, attentive service, and a great atmosphere.
Birthday celebration. It was awesome
Too loud for a not very busy Sunday night.
Food was good and server was good too. He was out of our face which was very appreciated.
Amazing service. Made the reservations on behalf of my parents for a birthday meal, called in to pay for the meal, and the manager made sure they had a phenomenal experience. Great food, reasonably priced, and stellar service. Would definitely recommend for casual meals or a special event!
Manager went out of her way to get us a special table.
It was a nice setting, the waitress was a little to abrupt.
Overall the food and experience was good.
I hadn't been to the Med in a year. This used to be a very good restauarnt. Not any more. The service is still good. However the food is fair to poor and pricey. 20$ for two scallops that were mediocre. The Paella was dry and tasteless. Lamb tasted as if it had been sitting for awhile and was dry.
We had a nice table with 10 guests. We shared so many wonderful tasting tapas & enjoyed our evening.
Granted, it was a busy Saturday night. That said, I think visitors will much prefer lunch here - I know we will be back for lunch but never again for dinner. It was manic in the restaurant. Servers barely stopped at the table as they hurriedly dropped off food. Very loud. Food was really just OK - you could tell everyone was hurrying to get through service. Plating was sloppy. Just "meh" all around. At lunch they do a much better job of presenting nice plates in an enjoyable manner.
The names used to be great and reliable. Now they barely try.
Sad to see an old Boulder gem on its way down hill.
I had a horrible service with experience at this restaurant! It was my birthday and I notified the restaurant before making the reservation and the waitress didn’t wait until after she was slow, mean, and rude to say “sorry I just noticed that there was a note that this is a birthday”. She was rude and extremely slow the entire time. Whenever we asked her for silver wear or more water in our empty classes she was mean and disrespectful. We left satisfied with the taste of the meal but frustrated with our waitress and her utter rudeness, truly that woman was not a nice or personable person that I would never consider hiring.
The food has really gone downhill! Very disappointing
