We were served in an intimate lower-level dining room at the Majestic, and our dinner was delicious. The prime rib was excellent, as were the side dishes. A jazz pianist played throughout the meal, taking only one break, and he was a master of his craft. I would highly recommend the Majestic to anyone looking for an intimate, delicious meal.
Everything was wonderful, especially the pianist, Matt Villinger.
The Majestic is a Kansas City treasure. There are few fine dining options in the US that remind me of dining in Europe, with professional staff, real food, nothing packaged is served here, linen, silver, full bar, live piano and brass. Why would you celebrate an evening out at a chain restaurant with gems like the Majestic.
The server was a wonderful young lady she was awesome, the food was not worth the price we had the same steak last week at Texas Road House and it was better there. This was our 23rd wedding anniversary and it was very underwhelming the place is like a old fossil ready to be put to bed. The service was amazing however.
Always a great experience! The staff, food and atmosphere is wonderful! We always sit downstairs in the Jazz Lounge!
The experience was wonderful overall to include the food, service, and hospitality of the staff. We loved it and will be back!
Reservation and seating was on time. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Jazz piano player was exceptional. I invited him to our table for a discussion on his music and background. We really enjoyed the conversation. The steak was outstanding. The Turnip Greens were amazing. This was my first visit.
Our server, Cap, was awesome. Food was amazing. Will be back for sure.
The Majestic is a perfect place for a date night. Excellent food! Expect a historic feel with great service. The live jazz music was a fantastic and really added to the experience.
Melt in your mouth steak. Best loaded mashed potatoes I've ever had. Service excellent. Can't say enough about the experience my wife and I had. Thank you!!!!!
We love The Majestic. The prices have gone up and the selection has changed but the food was wonderful as always.
First time in Kansas City and first time at the Majestic. Loved the architecture and history and my filet was perfect. I look forward to coming again.
Description of a jazz club was totally false. There was a little piano playing. That's it. Did not portray the majesty it had claimed. Food was good, way overpriced. Service was fine.
Fantastic steak and cocktails menus.
Spectacular food preparation.
Superb jazz music and overall ambiance.
Great service from waiter (Lindsay).
Best place to eat in KC!
We had a great time as always. Braum, the pianist was so engaging and his music is beautiful! Our server was Barbee, and he was very attentive and had incredible recommendations for us. Thank you for continued excellence!
AWESOME - great experience for everyone
We had a wonderful evening celebrating a birthday. This was our first visit and I look forward to returning another time, when restrictions are gone, to see the difference.
The Majestic is always a great experience! Outstanding service, music and food & drink.
Great meal, great music. Service too intrusive at times.
One of the best dinners we've had. Steaks are superb.
We were so happy to get a reservation -thank you open table ! Lovely piano music throughout dinner . Great food & a shout out to our server who I felt perhaps may have been a a college professor . He was so knowledgeable about the history of Kansas City . We really enjoyed the evening .
Food was OK but not great. Our server Barbie was good but we were told it was a jazz dinner show with a 90 minute window to get in and out. The jazz show was one guy playing the piano and not much jazz. Very disappointed with that since it was main reason we went. Beautiful bar but cant go near it if you arrive early which we did. We were trying to time our Uber ride for drop off at the precise time. We couldn’t do that so our choices were arrive early and stand outside or arrive late and cut into our already limited time slot. The result is we spent a lot less $$ than if we could have had drinks at bar before and we would have ordered a nice bottle of wine if we had more time to linger over dinner.
We had our Anniversary dinner here just my wife and I. Our waiter, Cap, made our dining experience one we will never forget. The pianist was wonderful and the food is usually something I can always critique, however I was glad for every penny I spent on both our meals and drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant for a lovey night of dinner and drinks with special people. Love the dress code and ambiance of the old within the historic building.
Pianist was great - food was adequate- service was amazing
Took our daughter for a family graduation celebration. Outstanding 😍
Helpful and courteous staff
It's nice to have live music during dinner. They have one of the best stakes.
The food is great and the service is excellent. Listening to the piano is a delight and makes for a special evening out.
Barbi, (Hope I am spelling it correctly), was exceptional. The food was good, service great. I do feel, however, that what we ate was not worth $500 for 4 people.
Side salad was mostly stems and not edible; steaks were ordered medium rare but were definitely rare.
First time eating at the majestic. Was not disappointed. Not sure you’ll find a better steak in Kansas City.
Service was great. Food and music were outstanding!
Reliable old school jazz/dinner joint. Always a good time.
The food and the service were on point!! My wife and I hadn't had a date night in forever and this was a great way to get out and have a wonderful meal.
Pretty Amazing Bone in Filet, Great Old Fashions,
This was our first time at The Majestic, but definitely not our last. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and welcoming. Food was delicious and the servings were generous. Nice wine list and perfect music to complement the experience.
Our favorite place to eat out. Great food, service, and ambiance.
Long time limited menu steak house. Per my wife the lamb chops were superb. My steak was properly prepared. Sides were good. Service was attentive but not overbearing ambiance was informal and welcoming. Drinks well prepared.
Classy. Amazing food and service. First class dining.
Everything was spectacular: the food, the service, the pianist, everything. We will be back soon.
