Experience the ambiance of the Victorian Old West as we serve you an array of eclectic culinary specialties.

When preparing the Mahogany Grille menu, our award-winning staff gives special focus to farm-fresh recipes that represent new styles with old west flavors. We hand-cut our steaks in our butcher shop, carefully select our foods, and incorporate products by local growers when available creating a mosaic of tastes and textures.

We take pride in being well-versed in fine wine and spirits. Complimented with our aromatic food, our wines and spirits make quite a delicious impression.

    The mahogany grill was a very nice experience. We enjoyed salmon and a ribeye. We sat just next to the front door so passersby could see us. I wouldn’t recommend that table. Service was great and timely.

    Salmon was outstanding and our server Douglas made the entire evening one we won’t forget. He was fun, professional and even though he had many tables made us feel like we were his only one. The host was also very attentive and accommodating. It was a wonderful experience.

    Our waiter Douglas was amazing and very attentive. My daughter ordered her steak rare and when he came to check on us he immediately noticed that her steak was over cooked. We told him we didn't want to complain but she needed it rare because her wisdom teeth were recently pulled. He took care of it. The adult candy was delicious. We had 5:00 reservations and it was quiet but when we were leaving it was filling up and the noise level was increasing but still quieter than most restaurants. We had the risotto, steak and elk. It was plentiful and everything was very good. It was worth the money for a special family vacation. We were staying at the hotel and went to the saloon after for live music. If you come for dinner take the time to look around. They have interesting historical artifacts throughout the hotel. Thank you again Douglas😁

    The Strater Hotel has two bars and this restaurant and they’re all pretty good but it’s very tourist heavy. I didn’t know what to expect but this restaurant was very tasty and good quality food. The burger from bison meat was outstanding.

    This is one of my Durango favorites. When I am in town I try to eat there once a week. Rachel & Dalton who wait on me make this a special place for me! The food is consistently very good.

    The MG never disappoints!! Been eating there for over 40 years, and I highly recommend the prime rib!
