We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner in our restaurant, patios, or in-theater. We serve brunch on weekends with a buffet of Sunday unless there is a holiday and host multiple events for the whole neighborhood to enjoy.
Happy Hour offered Monday thru Thursday 2PM-6PM & 9 PM- Close. Happy Hour is not available on Weekends and Holidays. Happy Hour only available in the Cocktail Area, Bar and Patio.
THE LOT was established in 2015 and was inspired by and created for this neighborhood and honors the sea, art, culture, food, music, weather, and the people that make La Jolla so singular and inspiring. Website said Wednesday close at 12. At 10 they were preparing to close they ask to leave at 11

Went to the movies and ate too much Tihra was so nice thank you for your hospitality we did not want to cancel our reservation so we went to have dessert and drinks thank you great experience.
Music was really loud to start with but manager turned it down Jeffery really knocked it out of the park and both him and Rob did a great job thank you the Lot and Rob thanks for your service to our country. Food was ok maybe time for a new menu?
Our server Gustavo was awesome the manager Rob was really on top of it Gustavo seemed to get a little busy with business and Rob stepped up to help him out thank you for referring us to go see 1917 the movie was amazing so glad you talked us into it.
We always enjoy our time at the Lot but this past visit we were disappointed by the service. We had a different waiter than we have had in the past and he pretty much was awol. The four of us had the buffet and we ordered coffee as well. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen. We finished our meal when the waiter appeared and when he finally brought the coffee it was cold.
I always come to the theater and have food in the theater, it was our 1st time having food at the restaurant part of the Lot, food was great, the service’s however wasn’t the best, Charge us things we didn’t order, it took more than 15-20 minutes to get a check and I have our bill paid. The manager did fix the charge after we were in the theater. I come here at least twice a month.
The atmosphere is great and the server was awesome. I had ordered filet mignon but served me prime rib meat. I was grateful that they comp my meal for that reason.
We went on valentine’s day so chaos was expected they did a really good job of handling everything great food great service they had a live band that was so good we didn’t even catch a movie!

The Valentine’s Day menu was very well thought through. The band was great, and the waiter was very good and professional. The outside seating was beautiful. The only thing that needed improvement was a heater. It was toooooo hot! Our waiter tried to have the management to take care of that, but unfortunately it didn’t work out well. But in general the dinner was very good.
Great ambiance for Valentine's day. Simple choice, proximity to movie theater, our waiter seems rushed.

For a Valentine’s Day dinner, it was quite disappointing. The number of options available was lacking, and when we actually received our entree it seemed like it was just thrown out of the kitchen as fast as possible. My “medium rare” steak was more rare and i did not finish it. Also i made a reservation about 5 days ahead of time and i was sat in the bar area instead of the dinning room... And then to top it all off when I was looking around at other patrons dishes they seemed to be of significantly higher quality, even prompting me to ask the waiter what the girl next to me was served. And to my upmost surprise he told me “it should be the same steak as yours”. Then he went back to the kitchen, and confirmed that she had actually received a higher quality steak by accident.... I was dumbfounded. He even nodded and agreed when i said “well that’s unfortunate because hers looks so much better than what we received”. Overall we left before being served desert because of the poor experience. Next time I hope to be pleasantly surprised by their food as I plan to revisit to redeem my 2 movie tickets that were included in the Valentine’s Day package.
Nathan- I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I will use it as a training opportunity for my team. My goal is to make sure all of our guests have a great experience. I did do some research regarding your experience and although the server did not answer your question about the steak appropriately it was indeed a different menu item than yours. Went to celebrate Valentines with my wife and 3 daughters. Gustavo was our server and made sure everyone was taken care of. Great food, great service. They had live music as well that was nice and mellow. All and all a great experience.
The fish we ordered was delicious but the salad was sad looking. They could improve on service as well.
Overall nice restaurant with potential but could improve a lot!
Amazing experience the food the drinks the server I had was phenomenal and the manager Rob took great care of me.
We went there for sunday buffet, which they did not have. I called the lot at least 20 times between 10 and 11 am that morning to confirm they had the buffet; called both the restaurant and concierge extensions and never got an answer. Took a chance and went anyway; wife and I do not like the lunch menu. Always have great difficulty getting thru by phone. Service is always mediocre.
My husband and I each had delicious fish dinners and then we saw a great movie. Fun date night.
4 year old child birthday
They have such a great opportunity at the Lot and I hate to see that they simply cannot get it done with their drinks and food to not be cold. The girl ,who took care of us, was great but food and drinks take FOREVER. It really is a shame.
Great service and food. A little pricey but that is to be expected for the La Jolla area.
Sat down and waited for about 15 to 20 minutes . The server was friendly but seemed overwhelmed and was definitely rushed. It was unpleasant. Ordered the same Dish as I've had before at Liberty Station and it was much smaller. When I told the server he admitted that depending on the chef the portion sizes vary greatly. The manager came over and asked how everything was and I explained to him the serving size was much smaller than I remembered. He apologized and left. When we received the bill there was nothing taken off nor did they offer to buy us dessert or drinks. Very strange.
Probably the worst meal I have had at the Lot. Loved the service.
Menu is boring but especially the salads. The turkey in the chopped salad is deli turkey.
Not a great value for the price. We dined here for New Year’s Day brunch. Skeleton crew and Coffee served in paper cups. Buffet had a good selection and was well stocked. The service was sketchy and it appears they ran out of clean cups and dishes.
The New Year’s Celebration was amazing! Food was great, and the DJ was amazing!! The music kept us dancing through the night! Me, my Family and friends had a blast!
It was NYE and we had made a reservation for dinner. They put us in the bar at an awkward table. All the doors were open and it was cold. We barely saw our server. The food was great and that was it's saving grace. Great theater for a movie but beware of special occasions.
Hello, I normally don’t write reviews but...ahi poke had a chunk of about 15 cubes all connected to each other, my $16.50 arugula salad had a pile of arugula a pile of crumbles and some peaches. My glass of cab was served cold and we were overcharged for an additional dish that was removed.
The brunch buffet was late getting started. Instead of 9:00 a.m., (our reservation was at 8:45 a.m.)the stations were finally set at around 9:25 a.m. which rushed our experience to see a movie at 10:00 a.m.
We had tickets for the Star Wars movie in theatre 4. During the movie, the sound went out and we watch the movie with Christmas music playing. It was finally resolved after 5 minutes or so.
Overall, the experience was fair and did not meet the experience level we have enjoyed in the past at The LOT. Not sure if we will continue including this as part of our family's Christmas Day agenda.
Was very disappointed that the only option on Christmas Eve was a buffet. The food was cold and it seemed as if it had been sitting out in warmers for several hours.
Went on Christmas Eve. The website said buffet only after 5:00, so we we went at 4:00. Our only choice was a $50 per person buffet, which we declined.
The restaurant dining area is mostly indoors with a glass wall separating the patio area. It was cold and raining, but the glass partition was open so the indoor area was cold and drafty. Not conducive to $50 dining.
I’ve had problems with their website in the past being incompetent or not up to date. The theater is nice with lounge seating and full food/drink service so reservations are recommended. Unfortunately, the movie schedule only goes out 2-3 days so securing an advanced reservation is difficult.
