The food was good value and tasty. However we were very disappointed to find that most of the menu wasn't available which was frustrating. Additionally we were told there was limited spirits available and no fizzy water - that is simply unacceptable and very amateurish.
That being said, the chef in the kitchen did produce amazing food and the staff were polite / attentive.

I love the relaxed feel and laid back nature. The Lodge is kitted out to be like a ski lodge in Verbier, with the staff all wearing casual check shirts.
As it was Valentines Day, there was a set menu at £45 per person. This included a glass of cava each, four starters, a huge fondue with new potatoes, bread and salad, and a giant baked Alaska for dessert, all to share.
The food was great, I really couldn't fault it, I just found that £45 per person seemed steep for what it really was. The price is potentially more a reflection of the experience than just the food.
I'm glad I went as iteas a special occasion, but probably wouldn't return. It's a 'been there done that' place.
Delicious beef and good fondue, but pretty pricey! Good for a special occasion. The rosemary roast potatoes are incredible!
Good service but overall I thought this place is overrated. We ordered the fondue which we thought was average and overpriced for what we were given.
as a group of 5 that ordered lots of, wines, starters and the fondue main course followed by dessert we certainly tried lots of the menu, there was a feeling there could have been a little more Fondue (apparently its weighed out per customer so we had our fill) but the waiting staff handled our greedy disappointment superbly and even managed to persuade us to eat 2 x the baked Alaska - great idea but needs to be baked in the oven, so that the ice cream is melting just like those mountains the Lodge is supposed to evoke, less blow torch more bake please :-)
Had this booked for ages and really looking forward to the Fondue as never had it before. Ordered the chef recommendations and the Fondue. We were then presented with 4 starters, mackerel, broccoli, pork and duck. All the dishes were excellent but it was a lot of food.
After asking for a short break we were presented with the Fondue. Wow what a lot of cheese. It was really tasty but very rich. The Fondue came with bread and potatoes which were good but felt it would have been nice to have some vegetables as it was very carb heavy.
Staff were friendly and attentive and overall a good experience.
We probably had the worst table as it was by the entrance and it was a little bit cold (hence the low score for ambience) but just a minor gripe really.
The environment is quite nice, particularly good if you want to go there during the christmas period. Food was okay, nothing amazing and pretty overpriced. Same goes for cocktails. Overall not particularly impressed.
I LOVE This place and it never disappoints! So glad it's back for a seasonal fondue. The staff go above and beyond and the atmosphere is amazing. Can't recommend the lodge and Jimmy Garcia's places more! *
Excellent vibe, excellent food and excellent service. I am not going skiing this year but feels like I have already been.
