   I love Lobster Pot - who would guess that there was such a brilliant restaurant 2 minutes from Elephant and Castle? I've been several times but as this was for my birthday we had the 8 course surprise menu which was absolutely brilliant and really good value - not cheap, but worth every penny - highly recommended!

   Been to Lobster Pot twice - once a year for special occasion. Last year was fantastic, so my wife and I came again this year, and unbelievably it was even better.i highly recommend the tasting menu - great food and great value!!! The chef is very personable and will create bespoke items for food allergies/ preferences.

   After looking for a restaurant that was handy for an after work dinner and reading an enticing menu i booked The Lobster Pot, i have never been so disappointed in a meal in my life, the location and decor was hilarious and straight out of a film set, granted a tacky one but it was fun. The meal however was cooked by a chef that clearly had lost both his taste buds and any ability he may have had in younger years, a costly mistake on my behalf but one i'm sure never to repeat. If your looking for a tacky tasteless location with bad food then you'll be at home but if like me your taste buds and eyesight love to be teased then find somewhere else.

   Go to this place is you love fish and have the 8 course taster menu, it's a real experience and the food is fantastic!

   .....and what a difference it was. The scene was set the minute you walked through the door, with the sounds of gulls in the air. The food was very tasty and full of flavoursome herbs and spices. Simple yet effective! I've passed this restaurant so many times and really glad I went. If ever in town and fancy something up market without the price tag then check out the 8 course Lobster menu......totally amazing and don't be put off by some of the portion sizes, which compliment each other in turn, absolutely filling........Happy to say I made it to the end!!! : )

   My husband is still raving about our rather indulgent tasting menu at the Lobster Pot a few weeks. The food was quite exceptional, the other guests a real mix of tourists, businessmen, dates, and pre clubbers eating lobster.. The interior decor is quite something to be believed!! Afterwards we popped next door to the jazz bar for another hour or so, then the very helpful staff tracked us down a cab in the pouring rain. Great place for a evening with a difference

   I had heard a lot about The Lobster Pot and my first experience lived up to all expectations - unconventional in all the right ways, conventional where it matters, a meal here is a proper indulgence with friendly, attentive staff and fabulous food, all in a quirky surrounding that attracts a pleasing variety of clientele. I can't wait to go back and try the taster menu - but I'll make them promise it features the bouillabaisse first: it's fantastic. French speaking was fun and the wine we had was divine.

    The food we were served at the Lobster Pot in Kennington, London was very good indeed, and although we had a long wait between our starter and main courses, the food, when it came, made up for the delay. If you enjoy good food in an eccentric environment this could be for you.
