Great Food!!! Great Service!!
We had the crab cakes benedict, chicken and waffles and the chicken sandwich. Everything was absolutely delicious. You definitely need to try the biscuits. They come with a trio of jam, whipped butter and a cheddar cheese. I could just have these with coffee and its a wrap.
Everything was VERY salty, nice staff, but would not return based on the food.
They changed their menu again for brunch. Missed some items from before. Still good.
Good place to converse and eat good food. Not loud
BOOOORUNCH! I had looked at the menu before I made a reservation. They had pancakes, french toast and an egg sandwich listed as options. When we got to the restaurant they had none of those things. There were basically no breakfast options for brunch. It was sandwiches and salads. Not at all what we were in the mood for. Ordered the chicken and waffles since at least it had a waffle but it was incredibly mediocre. The waffle wasn't a thick belgian-type, it was a thin one you'd make from a 90s waffle maker. The restaurant itself was also incredibly noisy. We ate inside as the wait for outside was 40 minutes and it was so loud I couldn't hear my friend across from me. We hadn't seen each other and wanted to catch up and instead we were practically yelling at each other. The place itself was cute and our server was nice. Just wasn't at all what we wanted for brunch. They should just call it a lunch menu.
loved it, dog friendly patio, great food. you have to get the biscuits. have to!
I never end up loving the food here as much as i want to....
Great food and they have a happy hour! Our server was great even though she was the only server. I got the burger, chicken biscuit feast, market salad, and shrimp cocktail. Everything was delicious!
Thank you to the lovely hostess for accommodating us outside! The food was delicious, as always. :)
God those biscuits are awesome!
Food was light and delicious as were the beverages. Outdoor seating is perfect during those warm L.A. afternoons though seats may be a little close to other patrons' tables but you get comfy regardless. I would recommend for a cute catch-up with a friend or a brunch date.
Food was not as good as usual
We waited for an hour and 15 minutes fo
Had to wait almost 45 minutes even with a reservation and then it took almost another 45 minutes to get the food when ordered. The staff was overwhelmed and could not handle the amount of people. That is not their fault. Entirely bad management. No hostess to greet and to accept open table reservation. Check was incorrect at end. Never going back.
I love the Hart and the Hunter. The food is great, the staff is friendly, accommodating and very helpful. I have eaten here several times and it is one of my favorites. My friends and I enjoy it very much. The location is perfect for grabbing a bite and then going shopping on Melrose or at the Grove (you can avoid the crowd) at the Grove. The price point is great and those biscuits are out of this world!
We went there for Christmas. The food was amazing but the service on the patio was beyond awful. They need some heaters outside and to staff better.
Do not need reservations for the restaurant. It's first come first setting. Small restaurant... So get there early.
fantastic breakfast nook. Very fresh, locally farmed food, nice & healthy.
I came back here for brunch after a 4 or 5 year hiatus, and I really enjoyed my waffles and fried chicken. It didn’t rock my world but this is a perfectly nice place to have a tasty and casual meal with a friend or two.
The ambience and service were great. The hot chicken sandwich was too spicy. Greens with bacon were delicious. The fingerling potatoes were too peppery—overpowering other flavors.
We had thanksgiving & it was lovely. There was some confusion about mashed potatoes & some disappointment when they didn’t have any. The serving sizes weren’t as huge as they made them sound but, overall, satisfaction was achieved.
Great brunch and service
Great food, friendly efficient service!
Liz, Thanks so much for the kind words, We look forward to having you back soon. Yours Truly, Jesse Taylor Restaurant Manager
Great brunch. Had to wait a bit past our original reservation time to get out on the side patio (which we had indicated outdoor seating on the reservation). That was the only bummer, but it wasn't too bad. This is a great spot to bring your dog and people watch too.
Thanks so much for your patience guys, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, Looking forward to having you back soon. Sincerely, Jesse Taylor Restaurant Manager
Didn’t realize how dead this restaurant was. The service was great considering we were the only ones at the restaurant. The food was not good. I ordered the hanger steak which had a bad aftertaste like it was spoiled. I didn’t complain but I didn’t eat it either. They also don’t serve liquor which after the awful dinner I would’ve liked.
Dear Customer, We apologize for your recent experience, and do want to let you know we have checked and inspect all of our food, so this is a strange occurrence, I do wish you would have let us know so we could’ve rectified the situation with you at the time of your visit. Please know that we’d love to have you back, for a complimentary meal. Sincerely, Jesse Taylor Restaurant Manager
Food was really good, had some of the best cornbread we've ever eaten!
Mushroom toast was amazing.
Please bring back the Johnny cakes. And make sure the servers bring place settings to the table before serving the drinks and starters.
Hi, we are happy to let you know we still have the Johnny cakes on the Dinner menu, and will be putting them on the Lunch/Breakfast menu in the next couple weeks(you can ask for them anytime now though). We also have table place settings on every table so you may have just caught us in between seatings, I hope to see you back for more killer Johnny cakes.
Unbelievable biscuits!
It was a slow night so having inattentive service was unsettling. The burger was great, but had to send the extremely over cooked breaded chicken sandwich back just to receive another that was just as tough- perhaps not great quality chicken? Ambiance is nice though, would still return to try other menu items.
We waited so long, no one come to service us,and too noisy
Went for brunch to catch up with some friends and we were extremely put off by the noise level. Everything else was good.
Great for brunch! Food was delish and nice service. Only con are the flies outside so it makes patio dining a bit frustrating. If management / owners can figure this out with the Orkin man, it would get 5 stars from me.
Great dining experience at The Hart and the Hunter. Well curated menu with interesting selections. Great starter salad, the BBQ and grits were fantastic, better then any I have been served in the South. The fingerling potatoes were dynamite, perfectly seasoned. Service was attentive and informative. No downside to the meal!
Good food and excellent service. Great place to go when you don't want to be in a large crowd of people in a restaurant.
Weho's best kept secret! Excellent food and service as well as a heart warming ambiance.
Delicious food and drinks, pretty quiet during dinner hours, but great service and really cute place. Definitely recommend getting lots of things to share, it’s all so good!
The Biscuits are to die for! My friend and I adored the Mushroom Toast. Good coffee, fresh oj and charming atmosphere.
Very cute farmhouse vibe :) our server was super sweet.
