Ambiance is relatively nice, but also very usual for this type of scene.
Food tasted okay, it was just not very flavorful, overall I'd say basic.
Service was "strange" - had lunch as a couple, but yet the waiter decided to split everything we ordered (without asking us, problem is wife ate fish - I don't) and therefore i was left waiting for her to eat her meal, while I was waiting for mine. Anyway, overall I have been to much nicer places around SD (for both the ambiance and meal quality)
Had requested outdoor and had bad indoor table! No ambiance and came in from out of town with reservation made a while ago!
Beautiful views. Great food and not noisy. We enjoyed it very much.
We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience, Faith. We hope to welcome you back again soon!
Great outdoor setting, food selection and service.
Thank you for joining us, Karen! We appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon!
Beautiful view. Good food and pleasant surroundings. Excellent service.
Our breakfast was grossly overpriced based on the relatively mediocre quality. My omelette was overcooked and dry. Very disappointing, and I won't return.

Really marginal food and the bartender messed up the cocktails. Overpriced. Waiter was great.

Always the same, terrific.
The food at the Lodge at Torry Pines is always good. This is the first time we have eaten at the Grill as the normal restaurant was closed. You can eat inside or outside, we at inside since it was a bit windy outside. But the food and service were still outstanding. It was a bit noisy but that is because the Grill is near the golf course and we had some happy golfers reliving their games and having a good time. Still a good experience.
Thank you for your continued visits to The Lodge at Torrey Pines. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience at The Grill at Torrey Pines and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

Thank you for joining us at The Grill at Torrey Pines! We hope to welcome you back again soon!
It’s a beautiful place not for brunch they were out of some of the items on the menu and they didn’t have much to choose from. Don’t eat their chillequles they were horrible like mush!
We are disappointed to discover that your visit fell short of expectations. We have shared your feedback with management and hope that you will join us again for brunch in the near future.
Great evening! Perfect table for a special occasion.

Neither Grill nor restaurant ever disappoint. Its just that simple!!
But not so simple I realize for Jeff Jackson and crew to produce as they
Excellent service, nice setting, and tasty food. Prices a bit higher but worth it.
We watched the sunset over the ocean and the golf course and enjoyed a fabulous dinner including cocktails, ceviche and swordfish. There was a live guitarist... so charming. The service the food on the ambience were exceptional and we will definitely be back.
Restaurant week - lots of good food. Service was the low point but not terrible.
This was a great evening out. The live music was wonderful. The food was good. And service was quick.
I have been to the Lodge on a number of occasions and enjoyed good meals there. Unfortunately, tonight was not one of those occasions. Frankly, it was mediocre. I am no chef, but I can do a better job with swordfish. The sides were also uninspired. While I did not taste everybody's plates, this was the general consensus around the table. I should add, another very minor, but frustrating aspect of the evening was that we were charged for a dessert that we did not order. In short, it appears to me that it is a restaurant still trying to find its "legs." I am hoping that, as time goes by, things will start to click. Based on past experience, I would still recommend it.
The Grill is always great, especially on a lovely Spring day. Their Ruben Sandwich is the best in San Diego and the service is very attentive.
It’s a great place to eat, so pretty with the golf course in the background. The food is excellent not cheap but not overpriced.
Always good. Best Drugstore Burgers and fries !!!!... hands down. The Reuben and onion rings are also amazing!
food, location and view all top notch at the outside grill.
Great to sit outside, look at the beauty and enjoy quality food.
A San Diego landmark that I have wanted to try. We went after sunset so there was no view. Will try again.
Great table by the glass, warm heater above and an amazing view. We both had ceviche on plaintains which was different but it worked and swordfish in a ginger Asian sauce that was cooked perfectly and delicious. Dessert was tres leches with berries and also yummy. The service was very good and they offered blankets on this chilly evening. We went for restaurant week but would go back again!
Our anniversary dinner was marvelous! The sea bass ceviche was devine. The swordfish perfectly prepared ... tres leche was perfect. Love the atmosphere! Our server Stephan was terrific.
Great location to have a meal and see a sunset. The food was seasoned perfectly.
The salmon is delicious! And the selection of wines is good.
Expectations meet. Very good!
Can't beat the view of the beautiful Torrey Pines starting and finishing holes. Food was delicious and fresh - salads and seafood. Service was very friendly.
Love the food and service.
The lunch food was not very good and was over-priced.
First time back out to a restaurant since Covid lockdown. Family agreed the food was just like we remembered... it was almost like we skipped 2020 and found something that felt like getting back to normal. The Drugstore burger has been my favorite for over 10 years.
Service was outstanding!
Great food and service! Fabulous location!
One of my favorite places for lunch!
Really casual and easy. Love the GF Wood roasted quinoa salad w roasted veggies. Super delicious and healthy!
Always our favorite and they're being soooo careful during Covid that we feel very comfortable!
Overall service was very good, food was just so so.
Great birthday celebration. Wonderful sunset evening dining in the golf course!
Very good service and our meal was delicious
Very well prepared and waiter was very accommodating
