We went to the Firehouse to celebrate my husband's birthday, a bit late. We were supposed to go on his birthday, but my mother was in the hospital, so we delayed. My mother now needs an extremely low-sodium diet, and she has been really struggling with this. But not at the Firehouse! We told our server her needs, and he said she could order whatever she wanted and the chefs would make it without sodium. She ordered the rack of lamb and she was delighted. Instead of putting the sauces on the lamb, she was given the sauces in little dishes, and they had made them without sodium. She loved every bite, and it has really been a struggle for her lately. The rest of us also had delicious meals. Very happy overall!

We had a wonderful dining experience. The staff were prompt, courteous and attentive. The food was excellent (except the GF lemon pie. Not in alignment with the wonderful cuisine of this restaurant). The cocktails were expertly constructed. Overall our experience is wonderful.

Unfortunate experience. The "shrimp" stuffed in mushrooms had virtually no shrimp, all breadcrumbs. Our waiter agreed. He even brought out a second batch after we requested. Still no shrimp. I ordered steak medium rare. It was medium well, all brown inside. The dessert was dry. Coffee warm, not steaming hot. For a fixed menu with limited options, it shouldn't take 2.5 hours for 3 courses. Disappointed.

Impeccable service, neither rushed nor too slow. Food was exemplary. On a very busy Mother's Day, they remembered to wish my son a happy birthday more than once which he and I both appreciated. The Firehouse never disappoints.

They really had a lovely bunch, but charged us for every substitution without letting us know, and charged us full rate for the kids meal. For such a lovely location on what should have been a special day, that was a real bummer.
