The culinary answer to happiness.
Consistently enjoyable!
The waiters and waitress are fridely. Those three dishes are very good.
Great Vietnamese food. Never tried it before and I was pleasantly pleased. Fish and beef dishes are great.
The food overall was great. I made the ultimate mistake of ordering their specialty “dungeoness crab” with the shell on, not realising it would come as a whole crab and we would have to dissect it. There was not much meat in the shell and was not worth the trouble. Most definitely not worth $58. Rest of the dishes were very good. Crab & uni noodles and the chicken curry were to die for. The server forgot to put our chicken curry in so it came a little late, and they got our wine order wrong. However when we decided to drink the wine they brought out, we discovered, upon receiving the bill, they rectified their mistake and charged us barely nothing for the bottle. I would probably go back and try have a better experience next time as the food was good :)
We have dined at this lovely restaurant a number of times, always had good service and enjoyed the food and ambience. This time, restaurant wasn't as busy as usual, but the service was still attentive and the food was fun and delicious.
Great food. Nice atmosphere!!
Though the food is excellent, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating, I regret that we will not return, as this is the 2nd time we have eaten at District, ordered too much food such that when our favorite meal is brought, the full Vietnamese lobster dinner, we request a take-home box. We could not believe this happened for the 2nd time. Our take-home box was filled with the empty, half shell of the lobster and 2 small, not even bite-sized pieces, of the full lobster tail that we ordered. It was just the same result as our last visit. We open the take-home box of food and the biggest "joke" is there -- basically no food -- a few, like maybe four, at most, noodles, empty 1/2 lobster shell, soggy lettuce and 2-3 tiny pieces of lobster. It is so sad for us to say that we will not return, but after this 2nd repeat of the "missing lobster" we can't even recommend this restaurant to friends & family any longer.
Rave review for food and service, but a bit pricey.
Servizio sommario e disattento.
Posto carino.
Amazing experience with great staff and good food! Very satisfied!
LOVE this place! Food is amazing and the staff is always friendly. Will definitely be back!
I was extremely disappointed with my experience here. I thought I would give this place a try because it seemed hip and it’s woman owned. It’s supposed to be a Vietnamese American fusion but the fusion didn’t really fuse well enough. First off the service was terrible. We had multiple servers and they weren’t in sync. Some were asking about orders we already put in and others forgot our order all together. The table next to us complained about the lack of service as well so much the customer got up out her seat to confront one of the servers because she’d been waiting so long on her food. Something that REALLY turned me off was one of the lady servers was leaning on the table while she was taking an order as in her BUTT was on the dining table next to the one she was receiving orders from. I just get disgusted thinking about her doing that all the time. Now to the food: everything here was just too sweet or bland. We ordered the dumplings to start and had them fried. They were literally just fried wontons and there was little beef inside of them and the beef had no flavor. The scallops were cooked well but the flavors like the sweet mushroom with the sour cauliflower purée didn’t blend well. We ordered the lamb chops as our entree. Again it was cooked well but the flavor was just not there. The CBD infused margaritas were sooo sweet we had to send them back and request them be made without agave. To end on a positive note the pineapple bread pudding was good and the restaurant is beautiful but I still won’t be visiting again.
Bday. Nice stay but we’re busy or preoccupied. Had four different people coming and never got to connect well with anyone when needed.
Was in the neighborhood and wanted to try something cool.
$9 valet. Ok
The noodles (without toppings) is yummy
The chicken and French toast I would not re-order
The crab fried rice is the next dish we had
The shrimp on salad is a pass for me. No flavor in the salad, lite dressing
So very “meh” rather than “yeh” for me. Nice decor though!
The food was mediocre and bland. My friend's filet mignon was overcooked and served in a giant bun and was not particularly tasty. My egg rolls were good but also bland; one of the sauces was too hot and the other was rather tasteless. The noodles were okay. I'm not sure I would return.
Very tasty food.
We have been to The District by Hannah An a few times and every one has been a pure delight. The other day we went for dineLARestaurantWeek $25 three-course lunch and it was great. There were a few choices but we both picked the ahi tuna poke to start and skewered filet mignon atop of Hannah's tasty, zingy noodles. Dessert was one choice: bread pudding with coconut ice cream and caramel. Yum. LA's twice yearly restaurant week goes until Juy 26, 2021 and many restaurants and chefs participate offering tasting meals for affordable prices. Don't miss.it And if you love Asian fare by all means go to The District by Hannah An. Indoor/outdoor dining. $10 valet parking but you can find a meter now and then on the street.
The food was absolutely amazing!!!! I had the curry brussel sprouts, the noodles and this amazing chicken dish! The flavors were so complimentary of each other and the whole meal tasted delicious!! The service was great as well, as the food came out promptly and the staff was very attentive!! I will definitely come here again!
Food wasn’t well prepared
Great food, service and beautiful decor but not quite a happening place. It probably needs music and better vibes.
We went on Friday night and it was pretty empty. :-(
The food was so interesting and the favors were exciting.
Pretty good restaurant. We had the dumplings and egg rolls as an appetizer. I thought they both needed to be seasoned just a tad bit more. We also shared the noodles which were really good. I had the lamb (which needed seasoning as well) and my friend has the shrimp fried rice. They have a 2 for 1 social hour so we both had 2 drinks. I had the lychee martini which was great. Overall the food was good but they should definitely season it more.
Fried rice and chicken was OK. I should've stuck with the house noodles
Food was amazing! Service was excellent- when they were around. Just a couple of folks taking care of the entire deck - could have come around much more often. When they did - they were wonderful.
Food was tasty but veggie dishes and meat dishes are doused in the same house sauce. So while it tastes good, it needs more variety
The food was excellent, the drinks were good & the restaurant staff went out of their way to make our Anniversary special by bringing us 2 desserts on the house!! I definitely recommend going!
Love this place! Been there a dozen times. Similar dishes to crustacean but way better! Not to mention a much cooler setting.
If you get Jennifer as your server it’s even better. Ace is a great addition to the team as well. One of our favorite restaurants.
The food and service were excellent. The setting is really lovely. And even though it is clearly a high-end west Hollywood restaurant, it doesn’t feel snobby at all. Highly recommend!
Would definitely come back. I was looking for Asian food that is not overly fussy and in a relatively quiet place this was just right. Special thanks to our server Sam for being nice and helpful!
It was fabulous. A tad pricey on the drinks etc. But I would recommend it to friends.
Father’s Day
By far one of the top - if not the top restaurant in my vicinity! Food quality is incomparable and never disappoints! I highly recommend this place!
great food and great service, would go back anytime
I hope Janelle is you bartender/server. She rocks.
Server kind of forgot about us. Water glasses empty, cocktails empty. 30 min went by
Excellent food and service. We have been here 4 times and each time is consistently as good as the last.
Had a great Friday drinks + early dinner on the terrace. Service was excellent, the dishes were tasty / a lot of fun.
We had a great time. We did a tour of the appetizer menu and each item was more spectacular than the last. Sam at the front door is one of the best ever. We both got a bit lost in the way, and she guided us in. Just a great spot and an amazing meal. $$$
The food was amazing! We will definitely be back! We throughly enjoyed everything we ordered.
I’m a regular patron of the restaurant. The food is exquisite; ambiance warm an inviting, but the personal attention the staff give their clientele is exceptional and very rare. They are particularly appreciative to their regular patrons. I want to give a special thanks to James. He is a GOD! I rarely request a particular server when I go to a restaurant but James elevates an already wonderful experience. He is such an asset to the establishment and a great guy.
