The Crossing's Roasted Beet Salad
Goat cheese, mascarpone, toasted pine nuts, shallots, sherry vinegar
Crushed Yukon gold potatoes, shiitake mushrooms, warm romaine, lemon truffle
English peas, mint, tomato, caper, shallots, lemon, romesco, pepper relish
Our wait staff was very professional and in particular Grechen was excellent. The atmosphere was fine as was the food. It was somewhat loud because there was a large table of patrons in the restaurant that was loud. Perhaps some music would have helped to suppress some of that noise. The Pate was also particularly good.
We love the food, drink selection and the ambiance at "The Crossing!" One of our favorite special restaurants.
Celebrated a birthday. Food and service was great. Enjoyed the experience.
I had filet of sole and I would give it a 5 but it was a little salty for me. definitely go back as food is delicious and prepared with such attention to detail. Our waiter Ben was fantastic! Loved the beet salad too.
We had venison over brussel sprouts and green beans. It was the most tender, flavorful venison that I have ever eaten! Service was great as usual.
Absolutely terrific experience from the hostess whom greeted us to busser who brought bread, cleared, and filled water. Food was superb and service matched.
Extraordinary food, drinks and wine matched by excellent service.
Awesome little restaurant! Got in for the last sitting (prix fixe) New Years Eve.
Great selections for each course, skipped the wine pairing because the wine list
is simply STELLAR! Heavy on Italians (even had some '15 Brunello's left that were
affordable), followed by a Pomerol suggested by the wine steward that had to be
the "sleeper" on the list- blew my wife and friends away for only 150 bucks.
Ahi tuna appetizer was to die for, and the Dover sole melted in your mouth, but I
think the (rare) beef tenderloin with black truffles was the star.
Desserts tasty, but souffles would have been more appropriate for such a
We will definitely return and also tell any of our friends going to St. Louis to
give them a try!
Certainly a top-5 restaurant in the metropolitan area. Bravo!
We had the chef's grand tasting menu and wine pairing. It was excellent. Execution was really good - everything prepared and cooked exceptional. The wine pairing was also very enjoyable. And the service was friendly, prompt, and helpful. As far as tasting menus go, I will say this was not the exotic type. But all the flavors were nice and there was lots of food! Overall I'd say one of the best in St Louis.
Great evening, company, occasion, and meal at the Crossing!
Delicious lunch. Great service. The Crossing is solid. Has been for years. So glad they started serving lunch!
It’s just everything makes you feel enjoyable and cozy!🥰
Excellent in all ways, as always
Everything was fabulous.
Awesome meal and service. The tasting menu is a great value.
We had a wonderful meal and delicious cocktails. Our server, Sonny, was fabulous. Can’t wait to get back!!!
Outstanding !! Service was excellent. Our waiter, David, explained everything and
was very attentive. Food was even better. You must try the beet salad. Scallops were delicious. Everything was prepared with attention to detail. You will not be
Great anniversary dinner!
Awesome. The food was so great that it felt as if it was worked out and trained for hours in the back room before it underwent massage for another hour and hit our plates. Amazing. The drinks were nectar.
We wanted to give The Crossing a stronger rating, but the noise level was just too high. The tasting menu is great quality for price, all of the items we had were delicious, inventive, beautifully presented. Our waiter Luke was cordial and well informed. It was just too distracting to feel overwhelmed by the noise level much of the time. Hard to really savor the flavors and visual features when it feels more like Grand Central Station than a refined, food-centric restaurant. It was a Friday, and a week before Christmas, so people are out and about, partying and in high spirits. Why is it though, that Americans seem to feel they need to ratchet up their vocal cords every time they go through a restaurant’s doors? At The Crossing last evening it was just too much. The cuisine, though, is top notch.
This was our anniversary meal and they hit it out of the park. We had the chefs line up with the 8 courses. Absolutely one of the best meals ever had. David our server made fantastic wine recommendations and helped steer us in the direction on food. Will go back!
Exquisite food with excellent service. Highly recommended
Nice cosy restaurant, nice selections on the menu, great food.
Amazing dinner and service. The only negative thing would be that around 8 PM the noise level was quite high and it made it a little bit difficult to have a conversation.
We celebrated our 35th anniversary. When we were lead to our table a card celebrating our anniversary was waiting for us. It was such a nice gesture and pleasant surprise. Our server was personable and gave just the right amount of attention. We also enjoyed the chefs/owners we made it a point to come and visit. The food, we did the master tasting menu along with the wine flight, was absolutely amazing! Every bite was wonderful. The only downside was that the noise level was a bit high. I’ve been noticing this at many places. I suffer from hearing loss and find it difficult to hear a conversation.
Fantastic quality of food and service
The Crossing never disappoints! The food, service & wine list are exceptional. Always a memorable meal.
I have been coming here 20 years - seriously. It NEVER disappoints. The food, service, atmosphere are second to none. Everyone should come here!
The lunch we experienced was a gift to me from my son. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and have told many of our friends about it.
Such a special place for wonderful good and exceptional service.
We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was exquisite!! My favorite restaurant in St Louis.❤️
