Featuring local "farm to table" cuisine using a breadth of farmers in the Missouri and Illinois communities. When asked to define of The Crossing, Owner/Executive Chef Jim Fiala often says that he is a chef that buys locally whenever possible and cooks as any French and/or Italian chef would given the ingredients sourced. Joining Jim is Chef Thu Rein Oo who brings passion and years of experience to the kitchen. Our food is fresh, organic (whenever possible), seasonal and by design very simple. The Crossing stays true to classic techniques and the chefs love showing off their skills and passion for elegant food.

    Exceptional iconic Saint Louis European-American Fine Dining establishment by Jim Fiala esteemed Chef. Outstanding cuisine plus a very deep and diverse Wine List with an eclectic Wine by the Glass selection including Sauternes, Burgundy and a full range of World regions. Very extensive Spirit selection, additional including a very nice range of Scotch Single Malts not seen on most lists. Highly recommended!

    Bit of a mix up as to who was our waiter, so took a bit to order drinks and get started with our dinner. Owner apologized for the delay, and our first round was on the house, completely unnecessary, but appreciated. Service was impeccable. Food was absolutely incredible, morel mushroom pasta was to die for, and courses came out in perfect increments. Will be going back and highly recommend.

    We had a great dining experience!! Howard, our waiter, was great. Food was very tasty and served in a timely manner, as we ordered the four course offering.

    8pm on a Friday, noise level made an enjoyable dining experience impossible. Beet salad, Caesar salad and escargot were good. Sea scallops were too salty. Creme brulee below average but that might just be my preference for a less soupy consistency.

    Delicious, unique food and wine pairings served by informed and experienced wait staff. Dining area is intimate and decorated with interesting modern wall hangings. Overall a great dining atmosphere.

    My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at The Crossing Restaurant in in Clayton Mo. It was wonderful from the time we entered the restaurant until we left. We enjoyed a four-course meal which was superior to other restaurants in the STL area. Also, the service was exceptional. Shout out to David our waiter and the rest of the staff!

    Food has went down hill slightly over the ast few years. Still good food and good service but it’s over priced for the quality now days.

    I had dinner at the crossing with my husband and son to celebrate my son‘s birthday. We have celebrated many special occasions here. The food and service are always outstanding. We did the fourth course tasting menu, which is a fixed price. We were told that we could substitute regular menu items for some of the courses . my son substituted chicken instead of the duck for his main dish and when the bill came, they added an up charge of $17 to the $75 fixed price for chicken! I mentioned this to the waiter and reminded him that he told us that we could substitute regular menu items for the price fix items. His response was that the chicken was a full sized portion instead of the smaller portion that is in the tasting menu, and maybe he should’ve clarified that. The food was absolutely amazing! The chef made me a special dish because I have a dairy allergy that exceeded my expectations. The service was great but this was somewhat disappointing. I will definitely go back to the Crossing but I will definitely make sure that I am aware of added charges.
