'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,
has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to the
Thames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toast
spread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered them
again when we returned for Sunday lunch. Sunday roasts with 'all the
trimming's' - we tried beef and pork - had everything a Sunday roast should
have. Somewhere rather spiffing to go' (Fay Machsler, Evening Standard)

    Our waiter was excellent, taking our order and bringing drinks quickly. The food was good and tasty. My only complaint was that it took some time to arrive - not ideal with hungry young children.

    One of the best Sunday Roasts in London! We had the beef and the lamb with a side of Cauliflower Cheese and it was incredible!

    Great service. Quick and polite. Food was nice but wouldn’t say excellent. Great ambiance , out in the garden.

    Really lovely meal to celebrate our son’s birthday. We foolishly requested to sit outside as weather was lovely but being under the canopy it off the sun it was rather cold and a bit windy so our meals went cold really quickly! No fault of the Crabtree- just a heads up for other dinners!!

    Amazing food and service. We had the lamb and porchetta from the roast menu both were tender and well cooked. Only negative was that the food was slightly cold.

    We went there to try the traditional Sunday roast We were shocked by the food quality was poor The food portion was so small as well as the food temperature was cold and not as expected to be Nether the less it was extremely expensive and menus was not including Sunday roast online So disappointed 😞

    Despite making a reservation on Open Table, they didn’t have a table for us so we were left on our own to find a place in the garden with only limited menu and bar service. Soft shell crab sandwich was barely edible.

    Hi Benne2ja, Unfortunately, we do not reserve any tables on the terraces as they are exclusively first come first serve. The tables we do reserve are inside our dining room, which is what you had booked through opentable. Yesterday it was forecast to rain between midday and 1pm so we did not open the terraces up until 1:30pm which is why you were unable to get a table on the terrace. However, we offered you the table you booked inside the dining room, from which you would have been able to order off the a la carte. We are sorry you didn't enjoy the soft shell crab burger, would you be able to let us know exactly what you did not like about it? Send us your feedback to info@thecrabtreew6.co.uk and we can see what went wrong yesterday, as it is usually one of our favourites. Team Crab
