   Mixed review on the Crabtree: lovely location. Food was nice. Not amazing but nice. We unfortunately booked dinner on a day when the pub was having a music festival. We were not informed about the music festival and I have to say it was LOUD and extremely busy. I think we would have had a better time has the music festival not been on and the venue do ‘busy’. Our waiter was lovely, but sadly not overly attentive. They definitely had enough staff on duty though.

   We recently visited The crabtree pub, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, they were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. And of course, the cherry on top was the stunning view of the river at dinner time. Overall, I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience with great food, friendly service, and a picturesque view by the river.

   Have a lovely date night at the crabtree. Staff were great, food was amazing (I had the seabass). Shame it was raining as there is a lovely terrace by the river, but at least we could have a drink in the beer garden which was huge. We will be back

   Food was delicious, ambience great..was there with my 89 year old who has becomd sensitive to noise and there was no complains from her. Staff were very attentive

   Steak over cooked on this occasion but the free desserts were a welcome thank you. We love this place as it’s local and always very good.

   I went to the pub earlier in the week on Monday with my sister in law and nothing was available on the menu other then a burger or fish and chips (burger was awful) they said they hadn’t had a delivery!? I wrote a review as I was so shocked having been to the pub a few years ago and had a fabulous meal! I went back yesterday with a new date (hoping as it’s a lovely setting along the river that Monday was a one off! Again I couldn’t have anything on the menu that I wanted - no sourdough no food I wanted literally nothing in the menu again - so why have a menu that you can’t order anything off of - def never going back

Its a real shame that you had such a poor experience, especially as it was due to circumstances that were out of our control (our food delivery which was due at 7am arrived at 12, thus not giving the kitchen team enough time to prep for lunch).    I went yesterday, Monday the 24th of July and sat down to be told basically there’s nothing on the menu that we can have! Only a burger or the fish and chips for the mains! No sourdough bread (which ruled out a lot or most of the starters and basically the waiter (who was highly nervous and embarrassed, said that they didn’t get any deliveries or something on those lines! I saw others eat a croque Monsieur (looked like soggy plain bread) Thought that was very poor for such a popular pub! I’ve been before a while ago and the food was amazing and a completely different menu! Our burgers were made with tough, chewy, grissly, mince meat so we left them. Shame!
