    In hindsight, we had them overcook the prime rib. It was so good you could cut the meat with a butter knife. Not a bad thing on the plate.

    We enjoyed the braised short rib & the prawns & shrimp entrees. One thing I miss from years of celebrating special occasions at The Corn Maiden are the delicious homemade blue corn muffins and toasted focaccia bread. Both meals were served hot and ample portions, although enough room for incredible small portion desserts. After we left, my server went out of his way to find me and return my credit card I left behind. That was outstanding customer service.

    Beautiful beautiful restaurant, food beautifully presented, wait staff delightful---but the food disappointed. My lobster tail was delicious, BUT my husband's steak fillet was cold, as were the potatoes and vegetables that accompanied it. At $95 a person on Valentine's Day, all of the cooked food should have been piping hot! So, a mixed review.

    Service was poor as we were forgotten about multiple times. We had to ask for refills. For a $300 meal for two, we expected the experience to be special and unfortunately it wasn’t. The food was mediocre and again disappointing.

    Service was good other than they tried several times to serve us the wrong food. Food was substandard, not flavorful, and portions were very small. For a 300.00 dinner for 2 it was very disappointing. Especially since we have been going there for years. Steady decline in ambience and quality. We won’t be back again.

    The salad was tiny and contained fish. The mushroom was terrible. The filet mignon was excellent but the small spoon full of potatoes and two tiny carrot sticks were very disappointing. The value was $268 which was ridiculous. We will never again go to Corn Maiden. It was too expensive and too exotic.

    The atmosphere was lovely and elegant. The service was impeccable. The food was fantastic except for one thing - our steak filets were served cold and overdone. They were served so cold the steak butter on top never melted...it was cold hard butter on top of a cold well-done steak that I asked for rare. The flavor on the steak was good, so it was doubly sad to know how good it could have been if it had been served rare and warm. This was the only hiccup in an otherwise outstanding meal.

    A lovely night at dinner for my daughter’s wedding anniversary. Our dinners were well prepared and delicious. The wine was perfect and the service was perfect. We have always had a great time and will continue coming and recommending.

    The Corn Maiden is the difference between 'going out to eat' and looking forward to a dining experience. We tend to save our opportunities for dining experiences for special occasions so we don't enjoy them too frequently but when the time comes the Corn Maiden is one of our first choices.

    We had to wait for our table at 2:00. they were not crowded. 1st and 2nd courses were good. Entree of wild boar was good (ok) but my lobster tail was over cooked and so tough, I couldn't eat it. When the server was told, he shrugged. Dessrts were good. Very disappointed.

    Mediocre experience at best, resturant uninspiring decorating but lobster tail was way over cooked. Pâté appetizer about the size of a quarter. Chowder was very good along with Boar shank. Not much to choose from on Christmas Day but certainly will avoid Corn Maiden in future. Note: 2 years ago the buffet @ Tamaya Santa Ana Cafe was wonderful. Open Table sent 5 or 6 emails surrounding this reservation. Ive not use Open Table in a while, intend to deep six them too

    Booked this restaurant for Christmas Day lunch. Sadly the greeters seemed to be confused by their roles as it took almost 10mins before we were seated in a near empty restaurant. The selection of food for this special lunch was good although the first two courses of my vegan meal were a little meager. But the next courses & the meat dishes for my guests were good. Yes the ambiance was fine but a positive energy of the staff is important especially when paying such prices.

    Food was defiantly not good, not at all what we expected, particularly for the prices we paid! Food items were covered with way too much thick sauces and heavy cream, and overloaded with too much salt. The beef short ribs tasted and looked like artificial flavors and color were added, and there was so much gelatinous fat covering the bone that I was only able to find four small pieces of actual meat to eat. The "Honey Ice Cream" had old crystallized honey poured over it. Don't waste your time and money there!

    The service was Great. The food was very delicious. DO NOT go early. It was 60 degrees. We put on our coats and used napkins as blankets. We were even offered blankets?!?? This is not a 5 star restaurant. My mother’s 75th birthday she had her coat on and shivered the whole dinner. I will not go back.

    After many yeara of relying on The Corn Maiden for special occasions, we were a bit disappointed the long standing delicious bread basket has been reduced to simple boring dinner rolls. The service was ok, but not quite as polished in previous visits. We had the filet, spare rib and airline chicken. Each entree was prepared as requested including side substitutes. Not only was the bread variety disappointing, the server never asked if we wanted a second offering with our meal. The spare rib is my new favorite alternate entree to the signature rotisserie meats.

    Although we felt our table should have been bussed more often, the menu and food prepared was excellent. Everything was hot and the selection was outstanding; sevice staff were courteous and friendly. We will definitely think about returning again and again.

    Pros: Food was absolutely delicious and included other entree choices besides prime rib and turkey, e.g., salmon, pork shoulder, and chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms, plus assorted potato, rice, and vegetable sides. The bread and appetizer area had an amazing array of cheeses, fruits, compotes, and veggies. They set up a paella station to choose items for cook-to-order. Besides pumpkin pie, desserts included chocolate-chili cake, apple crisp, carmel-carrot cake, lemon cake and pie, puddings, and more. The wait staff is very attentive and seating was comfy. Things to consider: Food station aisles are tight and can get crowded, which makes it tough for ADA customers - however, the staff is very helpful. Drinks cost extra and an automatic 20% tip is added to the bill.

    We came here for Thanksgiving and we were not disappointed. The buffet had all traditional foods imaginable and then so many options beyond that. Everything was so delicious, the ambiance was lovely, and the servers were attentive. This was a great value and wonderful choice for a holiday meal.

    We go to the Corn Maiden every year for Thanksgiving. This year we arrived an hour early (snow) and checked in with the receptionist and offered to wait in the hotel lobby until the time of our reservation. The three women at the desk seemed friendly and took our name. We showed up again and were seated in a dark, windowless room at a small table away from the restaurant with a 12-person party next to us. I asked the hostess if it was possible to sit in one of the main dining areas with windows, and she told me "no, sorry" and walked away. Paying $178 for two people to have a Thanksgiving buffet is a stretch, but we look forward to it every year. I was very disappointed that we arrived early and we were still assigned to the large party room even after a polite request for another table. I actually don't even know what to say other than I would hope, if we return next year, that we could be listened to and offered another table - even if it meant another wait.

    The hostess was rude, we requested a table by the fire in a completely empty room are were told no....the dinner of short ribs was 100% fat so we politely sent back...our waiter was very nice but overall food not good and management awful....

    Beautiful dining room. It was an anniversary celebration and they sat us next to the fireplace. Server was engaging and pleasant. Meal was delicious. Complimentary desert and champagne for our celebration. We will be back.
