The Cellar is the perfect setting for an intimate and romantic evening of fine dining. In 1969, artistic craftsmen of Disneyland fame created a romantic rendezvous in the cellar of the old California Hotel. Intimate and cozy, the dining room is elegant amid structured arches and cave-like walls that are deecorated with wine casks and silver lanterns. Culinary excellence abounds with only the finest and freshest foods prepared in a lighter version of classical French cuisine and finely crafted cocktails which set a benchmark for all of Southern California!

Amazing ambiance, very friendly staff. They do tend to check in pretty often which can cramp a date a bit. They also are a little pushy and it feels like they might want to get you out the door as soon as they can, but overall a lovely place for nice drinks, great vibes, perfect for a date

Was not “goth” themed (to me) like others suggested.. just had an intimate and comfortable ambiance. The parking is close and free, the service was EXCELLENT, the specialty drinks and wine we tried were delicious and arrived quickly, and all food was phenomenal. This is a fine dining restaurant so it is expensive and will take a while (3 hours, 4 courses for 2 ppl) so plan for that. I highly recommend The Cellar for a dinner experience for all - this place checks all the boxes!

Always a memorable experience. Ambiance was great. Very warm and dimly lit, which is preferred. Steak dinner was stellar. Music was spot on for Tiki Tuesday. Along with the drink special, it was surf’s up.

We had not been to The Cellar for some time, but are happy to report that this establishment still delivers with great tasting food, excellent presentation, and outstanding wait staff (huge kudos to Jocelyn for her knowledge, suggestions, and attentiveness). Our party of six thoroughly enjoyed the evening and left vowing to return more often.
