The Cellar is the perfect setting for an intimate and romantic evening of fine dining. In 1969, artistic craftsmen of Disneyland fame created a romantic rendezvous in the cellar of the old California Hotel. Intimate and cozy, the dining room is elegant amid structured arches and cave-like walls that are deecorated with wine casks and silver lanterns. Culinary excellence abounds with only the finest and freshest foods prepared in a lighter version of classical French cuisine and finely crafted cocktails which set a benchmark for all of Southern California!

    We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary at the Cellar. It was our first time there. A very unique atmosphere as the restaurant is literally in a basement! Decorated nicely! Our server, Jordan, was FANTASTIC! She was friendly, informative and efficient! She did a great job in assisting us with our dinner selections. I had the filet mignon and my wife had the braised ribs. Our meals were cooked to perfection. The food presentation was great! They have a wonderful wine list and signature cocktails. The only criticism is that the tables are fairly close (great I’d you’re a voyeur) making it difficult to converse. We will DEFINITELY return!

    Heather our server was very attentive and great. The French Onion soup was amazing. I had the chef’s special, which was scallops over a bed on lentils. It was okay, lentils were not flavorful at all. Overall dish was okay not worth the price. My husband had the braised short ribs pasta and he enjoyed it. We celebrated my husband’s birthday. This is a very nice place to experience at least once.

    Excellent cocktails, charcuterie, and an amazing steak sandwich. Paola is an excellent, friendly server. We like to visit at least once a month.

    The food was excellent. My filet mignon was fantastic .my wife and I had a great dinner. The service was great as well. Our server Lily was awesome. Will definitely go back. This was my second visit. Very enjoyable time. Great place

    The retro vibe takes you back to the 1960s! Dress up and enjoy this hotspot under the historic 1922 former hotel. Drinks are great too!

    The Cellar in Fullerton lives up to the hype. We went because it's quickly earning a reputation as the best "goth" restaurant in Orange County—and it definitely delivers on that vibe. Guests of all ages were dressed in black (ourselves included), and the ambiance nailed it. It was our first visit, and it did not disappoint. We didn’t drink, but their mocktail options were strong. The standout of the night was the Classic Chateaubriand for Two—and we chose right, thanks to our exceptional server, Heather. She was dialed in from start to finish. One thing that really stood out: it was quiet. Not dead, just calm—no blaring music, no noise pollution. We could actually have a conversation, which made the experience even better. That part caught us by surprise, and it's a big reason we’ll be back. You can tell this place cares more about the overall guest experience than just checking boxes. Well done, Cellar. We’ll return.

    This was our first time at The Cellar and just from the stairs heading down to the restaurant gave us an immediate expectation of what was to come. We were all blown away with the decor and theme of the place. The online photos don’t do it justice. We had a party of four and were immediately seated. Gracie was just wonderful attending to our needs and we hope our generous tip showed our appreciation. Some food offerings we tried: The bread basket with whipped butter was wonderful. Bone marrow. Must try. Lobster bisque was on point. Caesar salads with steak was good Salmon was good Cornbread pork-chop with herbed orzo didn’t meet my expectations. The cornbread crust was on the thick side and didn’t have much seasoning to complement the pork chop. Maybe that was the intent from the executive chef. The herbed orzo didn’t complement the pork chop at all. I tried it a couple of times, but in the end left it on the plate. The pork itself was a bit drier than I prefer. In hindsight, I should have gone with the special of the night, braised shank. Only one of us tried one of the signature drinks, the solara, it was on the strong side and she switched to white wine. I would encourage the executive chef to consider having any fish offerings to come out to the table first. Fish waits for no one, instead all four meals came out together. It makes you wonder how long the salmon sat on the line before it was served. We are already looking for another opportunity to return to the Cellar and hope you will to. Thank you again The Cellar for a great first experience. Cheers
