This was our first time at The Cellar and just from the stairs heading down to the restaurant gave us an immediate expectation of what was to come. We were all blown away with the decor and theme of the place. The online photos don’t do it justice. We had a party of four and were immediately seated. Gracie was just wonderful attending to our needs and we hope our generous tip showed our appreciation. Some food offerings we tried: The bread basket with whipped butter was wonderful. Bone marrow. Must try. Lobster bisque was on point. Caesar salads with steak was good Salmon was good Cornbread pork-chop with herbed orzo didn’t meet my expectations. The cornbread crust was on the thick side and didn’t have much seasoning to complement the pork chop. Maybe that was the intent from the executive chef. The herbed orzo didn’t complement the pork chop at all. I tried it a couple of times, but in the end left it on the plate. The pork itself was a bit drier than I prefer. In hindsight, I should have gone with the special of the night, braised shank. Only one of us tried one of the signature drinks, the solara, it was on the strong side and she switched to white wine. I would encourage the executive chef to consider having any fish offerings to come out to the table first. Fish waits for no one, instead all four meals came out together. It makes you wonder how long the salmon sat on the line before it was served. We are already looking for another opportunity to return to the Cellar and hope you will to. Thank you again The Cellar for a great first experience. Cheers

Excellent ambience, food and service! Chateaubriand was amazing! Lobster bisque and chocolate soufflé as well. Cannot wait to go back!

Fantastic service and food. Food was perfect and 100% made to order. Great wine selection and cocktails. One of our favorite places in Fullerton.

This was my first time here and what caught my attention was the Victorian goth look but what solidified this as my restaurant of this year was the food and drink “the green mile” was my favorite. The steak for 2 was perfect along with the lobster soup and the bone marrow! Definitely coming here every single month, if I only remembered my waitress name but she had the best suggestions and service I ever had

Exceptional dinner experience for our daughters (grown) birthday dinner. Both food and service were impeccable. very enjoyable evening.

We had a reservation for our wedding anniversary and we decided to try this place close to home. The appetizer was good, nothing spectacular. We had the bone marrow. Our entrees were delicious though, 10/10 without question. Definitely worth trying if you've never been.

This is my first time leaving a 1-star review, and I’m truly disappointed today. This restaurant ruined everything I had planned for celebrating my husband's birthday. It wasn’t just the management—the food wasn’t good either. If you're considering this place because of the 4.7 rating, don’t bother. The only things this place has going for it are that it looks nice for photos and has a decent drinking atmosphere. The food, however, is not good. The cocktails were great, though. We ordered appetizers—there was uncleaned grit in the escargot. The best dish we had was the grilled octopus, but it was only “good” compared to the main courses. The French onion soup was average, nothing special. For the mains, the chef’s choice was lamb chops, but no one asked us how we wanted them cooked. We also ordered the pork chop—it had no flavor, the meat wasn’t tender, and it simply didn’t taste good. We had no idea what we were even eating. All of the above might’ve been forgivable because the ambiance was okay. I had noted during the reservation that this was a birthday celebration. When we were seated, both the host and server said “happy birthday,” so I thought they had it covered. But when it came time for dessert—the most important moment—I asked two female servers if they could add a "Happy Birthday" decoration to the dessert. Both said yes. I had seen photos online of birthday celebrations at this restaurant with candles and decorations, so I knew they were capable of it. But when the crème brûlée arrived, there was nothing on it. A male server brought it out, and I’m certain they never communicated with each other. This crucial, basic detail was completely overlooked. I’ve never had a birthday dinner go this wrong at any other restaurant. It was just... served, plain. So I ended up not being able to celebrate my husband's birthday properly—just awkwardly handed him a gift and ate dessert in silence. The crème brûlée wasn’t even freshly torched—it was cold
