   The Cellar has always been a special occasion restaurant for my wife and me. We've celebrated many anniversaries there and always had wonderful experiences. Who couldn't? The interior was designed by the same person who designed the Pirates of the Caribbean, there was the romantic history of Richard Burton proposing to Elizabeth Taylor in one of the back booths, an extensive wine list, and the food...classic dishes of the highest quality skillfully prepared. It was with all this in that we made reservations for our 27th anniversary. We hadn't been there in a few years and things have changed. The magical decor is still there but the extensive wine list is gone, sadly. The previous sommelier (Robert) knew his business and was able to get some really wonderful wines that were fairly priced to the customer. We ordered steak tartare as an appetizer, a dish that had always been a delightful treat. Gone was the classic presentation. What we received was an interpretation of steak tartare. Rough chopped beef smothered in something (I think worcestershire sauce) and served on a crostini. Back to the kitchen it went. For our entree we shared the New York steak. While the flavor was pleasant the quality was terrible. It was so full of gristle there was a small pile of unchewable bites on each plate. After a few jaw straining bites we surrendered to the steak and ordered dessert. Luckily, the souffles are still exquisite and worth a trip to The Cellar all by themselves, something we may consider in the future. As for dinner, not again. I do want to acknowledge our server (Lisa). She deserves recognition for being very professional and knowing her business.

   The Cellar was fantastic experience. Food was delicious and there staff were super friendly. Enjoyed every minute of the Cellar and we will be back.

   Every wed I take my wife out for dinner. We usually stay around the dtla , Hollywood area. Today I seen a tik tok about the cellar. I knew I had to book a reservation. Honestly it did not disappoint. Hands down a solid 10! From drinks to food to desserts. The service is excellent. Lisa our waitress was awesome.

   My first time dining and overall the experience was fantastic. Shannon, our hostess made it an absolute pleasant evening. Coming back for my birthday!

   Food was excellent, but we were in a rush and our main courses took exactly one hour to land on our table with very little communication from the staff.

   I love The Cellar! Amazing food, host and servers are always fantastic, bartenders on point. Looking forward to my next business meeting to eat here again.

   Amazing experience, the food was exceptional as well as environment. Lisa, our server was amazing, she gave myself the best recommendations for a drink. (The Green Mile).

   Very good, accommodating service. Food was very good. We had reserved for 8 with non-refundable prizes fix reservations for Easter and 2 of our party were no shows. Management allowed us to credit our drinks to the no-show reservations, which was decent and the right thing to do, but not guaranteed. We were appreciative. An altogether very nice Easter brunch.

    I went in on Easter and sat at the bar top. The food and drinks were amazing as always. Especially nice bartender and other patrons. 10/10
