   We always enjoy The Carriage House for dinner. My husband had the seared Redfish (delicious) and I had the lasagna (delicious, but a very small portion for $26). Husband had the chicken gumbo and I had the sweet potato puree with ham and cracklings. Both very good. The server was in a hurry because they were busy and brought the entrée before removing our soup bowls. So we had to move them. But overall, very good. When we were leaving and walking on the path to the gift shop, we were rudely shooed away by a young female employee in a pink hoop dress that told us "we couldn't be on the front lawn while a wedding was in progress" well, we weren't on the front lawn, we were on the side path by the pond admiring the swans next to the gift shop / exit. Why we were told this is absolutely insane. And, who doesn't want to look at a wedding from a distance? It was picturesque.

   Food, service and ambience were all fabulous! Lauren was absolutely the best. She was so helpful and her suggestions were spot on. Loved it!

   The service was not good. The couple with us never got their salad. We ordered a hurricane which took forever because he forgot. I ordered coffee with dessert and never got it. My husband was never asked if he wanted another glass of wine. It was our 25th anniversary so I thought maybe a special dessert since it was noted on the reservation. I won’t be going back. Too much money for bad service.

   Lauren was the BEST!!! She has been there 19 years. She was so sweet & personable. Do yourself a favor & request Lauren for your waitress!

   I expected the food to be typical museum cafe quality. It was actually restaurant level. Service was professional and efficient.

   Beautiful grounds and atmosphere. Service was great and the pistachio cake…OMG! I don’t like pistachio but glad I followed the servers suggestion.

   Went for dinner before prom. Everything was excellent; the food the atmosphere the waiters. Can’t wait to go again.

   The staff were absolutely wonderful and the food divine! My ladies had a great time, they even special ordered great weather!!

   TurtleBar makes best French 75 w Cognac!! Service was good and the Chef’s Special of Stuffed Eggplant was delicious. The green bean almandine was a bit salty for my taste My husband had the red fish for the 1st time and probably his last He said the seasoning was good however the fish wasn’t cleaned properly so it had that fishy taste even when he pulled the gray part off the fish was already tainted. It did NOT ruin our evening and we are locals and frequent often. And will continue as we love it here

    A spectacular setting and definitely a special occasion place. Food was very good and service from our waiter (Parker) was spot on.
