Excellent food and service. Christian and the hostess that evening were friendly, professional and attentive. Poor sandwich with oysters was excellent and the Filet Mignon was tender a perfectly cooked. MRare.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The grounds, the restaurant, the atmosphere are absolutely perfect. The waiter was top notch but had no help. I think he was the only waiter in the restaurant. I wasn’t disappointed with him in any way however, tonight they missed the mark. The reservation was booked for a birthday which was never mentioned. The food was delicious, the overall experience needs improvement!

The Eggplant Napoleon was perfectly cooked with lots of lump crab meat. It's amazing, how it's consistently cooked with perfection every time year after year.

The fried eggplant with large, sweet lump crabmeat and saffron cream sauce was delicious, as was the wonderful cheesecake with fresh strawberries and blackburies.

Second time visiting. Restaurant was about 30% capacity. Waitress initially attentive. Despite ordering entrees the same time as salad, entrees came 50 minties after the salads. Waitress never came to check on us between salad and entrees.

First of all ,the property is a pure pleasure to visit. This time of year, the Azealias are in full bloom.Chistian, our wait person ,was personable & candid while professional & knowleadgable. My wife had Crab & Eggplant with the house salad & she loved both.I had tried Gumbo for a second time to confirm it was the best I have ever sampled in a public setting away from our families homes.Super! The Oyster Poboy was my main course.Delicious!Looking forward to doing it again for another visit.

Food very good with large portions. Dining felt like it was from the 1800s even though it was built about 7 years ago. Wonderful visit to the plantation and a very good lunch.

Beautiful dining venue, excellent cuisine, the wait staff are extremely polite and pleasant but need to be trained to bus the tables when there are obvious empty plates stacked ready to be taken away to make room for the next course especially when it's a small table for two

My dish, eggplant Napoleon, needs work: eggplant over breaded and sauce tasted of raw flour. My husband's redfish was very good. The chocolate cake with raspberry sauce was excellent. The breakfast was quite nice, especially the Mimosa biscuits, but the music was overwhelming at that hour of the morning.
We enjoyed our stay; however, the food was not as advertised.

We were there today, Saturday at 1130 for lunch.

Although reservations are not necessary, I recommend it.

We were seated immediately and within a couple of minutes, a server brought a basket of bread and biscuits with butter, and their house made Steens cane syrup pecan butter. Delicious.

I had the double cut pork chop with crisp Brussels sprouts and sweet potato puree. The chop was nicely charred on a flame grill , the sprouts were really tasty and the puree, served cool, was quite good if a little thin.

The chop was served with a tomato mustard honey glaze and it was also really pleasant.

My beloved had the shrimp po boy. It was a giant, with fries, and she could only eat half. Lucky me! Ill be having it for dinner...

We ordered five desserts. Yes, all five. Bread pudding, which was superior to most I've ever eaten and I'm from New Orleans.

The pecan pie with house made vanilla ice cream was intensely rich and the crust was perfect.

The creole cheesecake with chocolate sauce, fresh fruit and Chantilly cream was my personal favorite.

The chocolate cake i haven't tried yet. Saving it for dinner. She had the macaroons - a pretty plate of five assorted in different flavors.

I meant to mention that the plating was very well done and the food was really attractive to look at.

Our server, Lauren, was friendly, attentive and very organized. At our table just enough. And at just the right times.

Atmosphere is what one would expect from a historic place: lots of period decor, high ceilings with fantastic Italian plaster cornices and medallions. Dark cypress wainscoting and lots of artwork on display.

I'd say it was a comfortably refined atmosphere, not ostentatious or over the top. Light jazz playing in the background was loud enough to hear without being a nuisance.

We live about an hour away near Oak Alley and will definitely return.

It was better than I had envisioned. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the food was amazing. Our server Lauren was so kind and very helpful. To end the lunch she brought over a beautiful desert and wished us a Happy Anniversary. This was easily was of my favorite experiences in Louisiana.

Christian was an excellent server. The nearby table had a large party and the noise level was elevated. We had to raise our voices as well creating a very noisy situation. The back room is to small to accommodate this situation. The food was very good. Will be a regular customer.
