We are regulars at this restaurant and we've always had a good experience bit not this evening. We came in for a late Valentine's dinner. We checked in and we walked across the length of the restaurant to the back even though were there really early (4:50pm) and there were quite a lot of tables open. We were seated next to a party of 11 celebrating a birthday. It was the 2 of us and them and they were loud. This wasn't the restaurants fault but I am curious as to why we were sat in that particular spot. We ordered the Tomahawk, wedge salad and saute mushrooms for our side. The steak was cooked perfectly, the salad was delicious. The mushrooms were not hot and gritty. Our wait person David was great and attentive. We didn't stay for dessert because there was this one person with a whiney type voice (in that large party) and she spoke the loudest and the most; anyway we felt we had to get out of there. We were thankful when we stepped outside and away from the drone of that voice.
Great food but our waiter was the slowest service I’ve ever encountered at this restaurant. He was nice though. Must have been new.
Love this restaurant. Same every time every location. Experience is wonderful food is great!
We celebrated Valentine’s Day the day after to avoid prix -fix menus, and it was perfect! The food, the ambiance the service was impeccable. Highly recommended!
The usual great service and food you can rely on consistently. Server (Tiffany) was great.
Valentine’s Day and Anniversary

Excellent food and amazing service. I cannot wait to come back.
Tremendous service and great food all capital Grille personnel on all levels are very friendly
Always a great time at the Capital Grilled. Wonderful staff, so attentive and great eats!! Thank you for making my 25th work anniversary so special!!
Wonderful birthday celebration! Great lunch specials!
Excellent service as always. Food is consistent and good. Love the lobster offerings including the bisque. A bit noisy today, but mainly due to a large table of people laughing loudly. Glad they had fun, but it was hard to hear our own conversation.
Always good here whether the food, cocktails, service
Though the Porterhouse steak was a little bit salty and rested too long (not hot), overall food was good.
They really know how to make their customers feel special and like it's an important celebration every time. A great place for a party or gathering. Loved the Porcini mushroom soup. The desserts are delicious and not just pretty, bring your appetite - the steaks are huge. Enjoy.
Everything was amazing as always
This is the second time we have had dinner here with friends. Overall this is a wonderful restaurant for any occasion . The food is very good and consistently prepared.
Michael and Olivia made us feel welcome and comfortable.
We enjoyed our meal with appetizers arriving in a timely manner.
Everyone enjoyed their meal with plenty of leftovers coming home.
Lobster macaroni, Lobster bisque and creamed spinach were all delicious sides.
Always excellent service from Iribe, he's the best of the best!!
As expected, it is why I go
One of our favorite places to go to celebrate special occasions!
Favorite lunch place
Food and service was great!
Capital grille is a perennial favorite. A little on the pricey side with a bottle of wine, apps and 2 entrees over $300 with tip but ok for special occasions
Everything was perfect we had a great time
Tim Barber makes this the best dining experience
Lindsay Williams waited on us and she gave us truly excellent service. She made excellent recommendations and was extremely personable.
Service great and wine by the glass very nice. Only less than excellent were price and food preparation. My rib eye with porcini and aged Balsamic vinegar had too much vinegar that totally overwhelmed the mushrooms and steak flavor and left a dull aftertaste. Brussels sprouts were also overly sweet and unpleasant. Rest of four meals were very good.
Wonderful birthday meal out with the family. Amazing steaks and creamy sides. The staff looked after us so well.
My husband took me out for date night and even though we had a reservation for a table for two, the bar was nearly empty, because it was early in the evening, and so we chose to sit at the bar so we could watch the hockey game. Kayla and Eric, our bartenders were attentive, friendly and accommodating. We started out with the smoked bacon appetizer with tomato glaze, opted to share a pear gorgonzola salad, and then enjoyed a tenderloin topped with butter poached lobster tails. We topped it off with Kayla's expert Chocolate Martinis for dessert. It was a pleasant evening, made more so by the excellent service and delicious food. Thank you Capital Grille!
Went to celebrate my anniversary. We go to CG frequently for special occasions, e.g. most birthdays, etc. For the most part we’ve been very happy with the value. Tonight, husband, was hands down our worst experience yet. We made the reservation online which was easy enough, but when I called to let the host know we would be a little late, there was no professionalism over the phone. At least we were greeted nicely in person. Server was nice enough overall, but food was terrible. Mushroom bisque had a gritty quality like sand or dirt as if they didn’t clean the mushrooms. That was switched out for a French onion soup that was adequate for me but had way too much cheese for my wife. My NY strip was good, but my wife’s filet was way over cooked. The server tried to explain how that was not the case, but still took it back. A manager came to apologize and did mention he could tell right away the steak was overcooked. They brought out a new filet for her which looked better but was still off. We noted that when they brought the new dish out, the lobster tail (my wife ordered the surf and turf) was incredibly rubbery and the entire underside was charred. The staff took that back as well and started preparing a new one. However, the manager came back later to tell us he wouldn’t even serve us the new lobster tail because it wasn’t turning out right. On top of all that, the Chilean sea bass my daughter had wasn’t good. I think it was literally the first time I’ve ever had sea bass that was unacceptable. The preparation was way too salty. In the end the manager was gracious enough to comp the entire bill, which really was the right thing to do anyway since the food was so bad we wouldn’t even take home the leftovers. We’ll give them another chance especially with the $100 gift card he also gave us, but I’m hesitant because it’s not infrequent the food hasn’t been prepared well. Definitely not the experience we were expecting on our anniversary.
Great as usual.
I always forget about this place but the food is beautiful and delicious. Thank you to our waiter Antony who made it extra special for my client luncheon and decorated the table with confetti. I will definitely be back!
Capital Grille is one of my families favorite places to dine at. They did not earn full stars this time due to some unanticipated hiccups. But managements concern for our happiness is duly noted. Will dine with them again and hope others will give them a try too. Their steaks when cooked right do taste better than Ruth Chris. And the variety here is definitely outstanding.
I wish I could remember our waitresses name. She was excellent. You have a very good employee.
Great birthday lunch. Appetizers and main entrees were delicious as always. Would return again and again.
Almost 90% of my family celebrations are held here because of the consistently good quality of their food and the exec Ellen was of their service staff.
Birthday, and this Restaurant was recommended by my daughter. I loved the Blackberry Bourbon Sour, had 2. I had the sliced filet mignonette, with onion and mushrooms, so yummy and I love it when I have leftovers. My husband had the Sea Bass and said it was moist and tender. Only complaint it was a bit noisey for us as we had to talk loud. Server was excellent. She also told us about valet parking being validated, which was nice.
