The hotel’s Chef, Giuseppe Stanzione, will bring a taste of coastal Italy to Los Angeles, where he will collaborate with The Peninsula’s Executive Chef Ralf Schlegel for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience, “Al Mare, Amore'' on the Belvedere Terrace from February 7th-25th. To celebrate the month of romance, guests are invited to enjoy a four-course or six-course tasting menu, to be enjoyed on the Belvedere Terrace by the iconic Robert Indiana LOVE sculpture.     This place is just wonderful. The service was impeccable. The staff there can’t do enough to make us feel welcomed. The food was great. We all ordered different dishes and all of them was delicious. The tables are placed comfortably apart so we don’t feel squeezed in and can carry on nice conversations. It is a restaurant I definitely will be back again and again.

    Was unfortunately disappointment with the food. It was a preset dinner menu so I do understand that but for the price of the ticket I expected much better. Flavorless and most dishes came out cold.

    We went for New Year’s Eve. The Belvedere is a beautiful restaurant. The price was high…$185 per person for 3 courses. We ordered drinks and perused the menu. It was almost impossible to read (the font and the descriptions). We ordered. I ordered a raw and cooked salad. It was squash and other things. I couldn’t eat it. The 2nd course was Sea Bass. It was a bit underdone, but tasty. Dessert was an almost raw pear. Terrible. New Year’s Eve is like Mother’s Day….. a lousy day to go to dinner. Too many people, yucky food and not much ambiance. 12/30 would have been a better day to go to the Belvedere.

    The service was spotty and not the kind of attention I would expect at a 5 star hotel. The menu had very few things we wanted to eat: three of us had the steak which was delicious but the cassis sauce was too sweet and we didn’t it any of it on our entrees. I wouldn’t rush back.

    This Christmas Day lunch was now the 3rd special occasion meals that I have had here in the last few years - 2 Thanksgivings & this Christmas meal (I did get Belvedere thanksgiving takeout in 2020). The host staff has been abysmal the last two times… terrible attitude. And they make you feel as though you are doing them a favor by dining there. Lots of great choices in LA to dine in and the Belvedere is no longer one of them. Please either change or retrain your host staff so that I can return and once again recommend you to family/friends.

    Kudos (and more kudos) to the men and women who turned The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills into a Christmas wonderland. We really couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend Christmas Eve. Three of us were there for dinner that evening. We chose our food from a set menu that included four courses. Each course was plated in the most beautiful of ways. The attention to detail was truly spectacular. My second course was risotto with egg. Best I’ve ever had. Third course was Halibut. Ditto, best I’ve ever had. Third and final course was desert. We were too full to eat them so we brought them home and indulged the next day. Again truly excellent. Now let’s get to the first course. A lobster tail served on a bed of black lentils that made such a beautiful presentation you just didn’t want to disturb such a pretty picture. After being advised by our waiter that the lentils upon which the lobster tail was lying were not to be eaten we dug into the Lobster. To put it mildly it was a culinary calamity. The meat was a rubbery nightmare. We had to pick it out of the shell in one long piece and tear it apart with such mouth force that it was becoming a nightmare. We chewed and chewed with all the energy we could muster to no avail. This lobster dish should have never left the kitchen. It was inedible. We left it on our respective plates and went on to the three remaining courses which (as I described above) were wonderful. All things considered our kudos to the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills still stand. We had a spectacular Christmas Eve. Look into that lobster fiasco. Something was very, very wrong.

    Had such a great experience! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Our server Octavio really took care of us. Would def dine again. Enjoyed the Caesar salad, chicken and waffle with limitless champagne pours. 10/10

    Elegant restaurant in the Peninsula hotel with excellent, friendly and attentive service. If you like to try something new I can recommend the vegetarian, “naturally Peninsula” menu - the dishes were beautifully presented and very tasty.

    The restaurant and help are wonderful. My dish, the tomato flatbread was totally mediocre. My friend had the hamburger and enjoyed it and the other friend had the salmon flatbread. Hers was good, as well.

    The food was good, I liked the old buffet they used to have on Sundays better. We couldn't drink enough champagne to justify the cost of the free flowing deal they had. Too many waiters and staff walking around with nothing to do. Fill a water glass once in a while.

    We came for the Plant Based 5 course tasting menu and were not disappointed! Very innovative flavors, impressive service and excellent pairing choices for the wines. Our waiter Ernesto was knowledgeable and right on top of everything. I tried to get a photo of the mushroom dish but ate half of it before I remembered!
