The Bachelor Farmer is a restaurant in America’s North featuring the freshest locally-sourced ingredients possible, all four seasons of the year. We celebrate our state’s cultural heritage and draw inspiration from the surrounding region. We use organic products whenever possible and also grow our own herbs and vegetables on our rooftop farm, the first of its kind in Minneapolis.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Great food and wine selections. Love the opportunity to try half bottles and diversify selections through the meal. Attentive and professional service provided by Mike including little gestures that took the experience to the next level. Can't wait to return!

TBF never disappoints. This was our 3rd or 4th time there. Every course was wonderful. Still love love love the toast, but miss the antique holders that the toast used to be served on. Our server (Laura) was impeccable. Can't wait to go back.

I had such high hopes for this visit. I have had two amazing meals there previously. Unfortunately, this time was average at best. The service was amazing. The cocktails were amazing. The food was not. I will have a hard time returning.

One of our favorite restaurants. Exceptional wine list, tremendously knowledgeable and friendly servers, and delicious, beautifully prepared food. A creative and thoughtfully designed space that can accommodate casual meals or special occasions. Highly recommended.

Awesome food that is clearly sourced clean, whole and made in house! I have food allergies (no dairy, soy, gluten). My waiter was AMAZING about it from the beginning. No eye rolling, took them very seriously, listened, came back with a marked up menu from the head chef on what was safe for me, what was not, and what could be modified. I know they source clean and make their food in house because most everything could be modified for me - which is NOT the case when eating at restaurant that uses a food service company to source their food.
All of our dishes were creative and DELICIOUS.
Wine list was wonderful. Ambiance warm and hip.
100% recommend everything about this place and its team.

Every item on the menu was beautifully prepared and served. The wine selection was unique with many wonderful choices. The entire staff serving us made the evening very special. Even when the restaurant was filled to capacity, the service was personal and flawless and ....we could actually hear each other in conversation. That is currently rare in Twin Cities restaurants. We are looking forward to a return very soon.

This place was recommended by a friend that lives in the area (he is an excellent cook in his own right and only eats at places where he "can't make that type of food myself at home." We met up with him and had an amazing time at this restaurant. Everything was fantastic and I would highly recommend as well!

I have been to this restaurants many times before but this time unlike other times, my experience was sub par. It all started at the bar, I ordered restaurants version of a manhattan and after asking the bartender to add a couple of pieces of oranges, I was met with the look of what the hell are you putting this on my drink. Not what I expect of a bartender. I expect a bartender to be nice and friendly and not question what I like on my cocktail. Our service at the restaurant was very good but the food was below average. Dishes were overloaded with condiments and dressings and the carrot cake looked like it came out of a vending machine. So

Dining at TBF was a great experience. I was able to make a reservation the day before - which shocked me and made me very happy as I've been wanting to try TBF for awhile now. We started with a drink at the Marvel Bar downstairs - which is a must visit and I highly recommend the Old Fashion. We had dinner afterward and the three of us each chose an entrée and shared. Everything was delicious. The server was extremely knowledgeable (helped me pick a great wine) and was very conscientious of when we needed attention. I highly recommend TBF to everyone!!

I do not understand why this restaurant has such good ratings. We found it to be very hit or miss. The hits: the port chop and the goat cheese/toast board. The misses: the worst thin leathery beef steaks in existencel; awful popovers - dry, hard, no soft custurdy inside at all; and blah carrot cake with crummy coconut ice cream. Quite noisy when the restaurant is full. Service is quite slow. Seats are very hard. Price is very high.

We had the Sunday roast chicken dinner, with cocktails and wine. The food was delicious and well-prepared, and the cocktails were tasty and unique. We enjoyed the ambiance and how close the restaurant was to our hotel. We will definitely be back!

We returned to Sunday Supper at Bachelor Farmer because of past experiences. It wasn't as great as before. The service was fine but a little off. Not super engaging with the guests but maybe she was trying to unobtrusive. The prix fixe meal was the chicken which while super moist was much too salty. We would like go back because historically Bachelor Farmer has been great, but was a little disappointed this time. On the other hand the dessert was super refreshing!

The hype is right. This place is wonderful. The food, wine, atmosphere, service are all outstanding. It is now my first choice to bring out-of-town friends, family, and clients. But shhhhh - don't tell anyone!

It's an interesting restaurant. The food is definitely not for those with a picky palette. And I'm not sure it is good for a business dinner...which is what I was hosting. The menu is creative and somewhat obscure. I had guests who were leery of trying some of the "out of the ordinary" cuisine and there weren't many options for those skeptical of eating most of what is offered. Our server lacked enthusiasm and did little to sell the experience. This surprised me a bit because unique experiences deserve more passion. Overall, I'd recommend the Bachelor Farmer but I'd also caution that expectations should be tempered. It's unique food with a nice setting.

The Batchelor Farmer doesn’t live up to all the hype. We had reservations for late evening and were sat at a table pushed up against the wall and right next to the kitchen. One side of the table had to squeeze past a support beem to get to their seat and the other side sat at the door of the kitchen. The ambiance of a busy kitchen constantly clammed with a verboseness that interferes with dinner conversations. The popovers we good but over cooked the entrees were above average in quality but not over the top in flavor or quality the would warrant the premium prices. The staff was courteous and very attentive.

Wow. This food was outstanding. The menu varies as this is farm to table food, so I won’t get into details regarding what we ordered, but I will say that it was perfectly prepared. We went for a date night without our kids and the ambience was ideal. We both ordered a cocktail and they were creatively done and very tasty. We ordered a toast dish to share as an appetizer, each had an entree, and my husband ordered a side. Our bill totally roughly $150 before tip.
