Set on the bustling South Bank, moments from the world-famous London Eye and Royal Festival Hall,
The Archduke restaurant, cocktail and wine bar is a local institution. A mainstay since 1979, The
Archduke was the first restaurant to open in this area, occupying the Victorian railway arches
surrounding Waterloo Station with live jazz performed every night and Sunday afternoon.  
Owned and operated by Black and Blue Steakhouse, customers indulge in heavenly cocktails,
delicious wines and modern cuisine including mouth-watering steaks, grilled fish, and
classic rotisserie chicken.

    A lovely evening. Staff very friendly and food delicious. No pressure on time enjoying the evening. More expensive than some restaurants, but the whole evening was worth the cost. Highly recommended for steak lovers. Hope to attend again, especially when the there is a jazz night.

    Restaurant was quiet as it was a Tuesday lunchtime, but the food was excellent. We had the £30 3 course option , and all the portions were of a decent size and very tasty. Felt that it was excellent value for a central London restaurant.

    Always quick and efficient service at The Archduke. Drinks and food delivered efficiently to make this a perfect pre-theatre stop. Recommend the Fixe Prix menu, either 2 or 3 courses which is enough when eating early. Tremendous cocktail list.

    This was the noisiest restaurant I’ve ever been in. When we asked about the loud noise, we were told it was due to some equipment to clear the air in the kitchen. Then the live music started. It was too loud for the space and only made it worse. We were not offered a quieter table. It was impossible to carry on a conversation. Thus, while the food was quite good and our wait person was lovely, the constant, very loud noise ruined the dinner for me. When leaving, I mentioned the noise and was told we could have had a quieter table. We never should have had to deal with so much noise. Frankly, the restaurant needs to work on noise level. I will not recommend this restaurant to others and I will not go back.

    Very convenient location from the Southbank and Waterloo Station. Food was excellent and for its location good value for money. Service brilliant
