Always one of our favorite restaurants - great food, great service, great value !!!!!!!!
Keep up the good work Dale !!!!!!!
Was a last minute decision. Been here before
Great food and service!
Too loud. Had reservation still had to wait 25 minutes for our table. Not a lot of offerings on menu. Service was good though.
We had the NY Strip and the Filet. Both were excellent!
The prices for Texas want to almost mimic the same for Silver Fox, Steve’s Steak and Lobster or a Morton’s. The overall experience however didn’t mimic the same
First and last.
My 7:00 open table reservation turned into a frustrating 7:40 seating and I am completely convinced had my wife not inquired after watching other couples that had come in after us employ the same strategies and succeed- we would have been there for another 40 mins.
Finally an elderly lady who was not part of the hostess group grabbed us and took us to our table by the busy bar -yay. Very little fanfare, inquiry or apologies for the first 40 mins .
The positive was our server, she was nice and pretty knowledgeable. I think she picked up on our frustration and tried to engage. I appreciated that greatly, and because of her my service rating was higher
The food came reasonably fast as did our glass of wine. I ordered the filet med rare and my wife had a lobster/lump crab cake dish. Steak was cooked right but the quality of meet was great. The outer ring of the steak was dry and chewy. Not buttery smooth like at the establishments mentioned prior. My side dishes of grilled vegetables were cool-warm and the taste of my wife’s dish was not hot as well.
I did mention that our server was good from a cheery ole country girl role that wants ya’all to enjoy it all
But at the end of the day. Sitting in a booth of bar table material next to the gang that are drinking and waiting for their table too was not the experiences i wanted to have for a $45-$50 entree. The bill for us was just south of $150 and the overall experience minus the attempt at the lobster dish was something I could get at Salt Grass or Texas Road House etc
If you want to spend this category of $$ get reservations at Steve’s or Silver Fox or III Forks or a Morton’s or someplace like that and enjoy the experience, attention and value that you should get for charge they are going to put on your card
Great food ..... great service ..... great atmosphere.
Food and service outstanding.
Valentines dinner, great food.
As usual it was an awesome experience. Love this place and the owners are the best hosts ever. My buddy Rodney was back!! Can’t wait for next dinner and it won’t be long.
It was great!!!
We went on valentine's day for our 21st anniversary. It was very crowded but the staff was great. Jo Lee (I think it is correct) was absolutely wonderful. We were very gratefull she was out waitress. She was was personable, funny, and on point with our order and needs. She made our evening very pleasant.
This was my third time going Texas and was very disappointed. My wife plate was fine but the wait after having a reservation wasn't to bad, 15 minutes it was very busy night so I was ok with that. I was not ok with the fact that the food took 36 minutes on a limited menu and then my steak was rare, very. The waiter took it back and the chef brought it back after he had put the whole plate in the oven! I burned my damn hand! The people are really nice but I'm on the fence about ever coming back or bringing my clients there.
Texas is a favorite of ours and never fails to delight! Great steaks, friendly service
We went here on Valentines day. I requested a booth, but we were seated in a back room away from the music and the ambiance. I understand they were busy, but I was disappointed in our seating. I was also not told it would be a set menu. I was looking forward to some options I saw on online menu. However, the steaks we ordered were very good! The server was good , except I had to go locate salt and pepper on my own. I chose Quiet on the noise level because of where we outcast to.
