Terra @ Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado
We had a delightful dining experience pre-opera. The food was absolutely delicious, unique, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed the lovely view and the attentive, friendly service. It was perfect!
We used the Travelzoo coupon and enjoyed a marvelous lunch. The food was great and the service excellent. Will return for another lunch or dinner. Thank you Terra and Travelzoo.
The Truffle Fries and house made Onion Rings are to die for
Beautiful room and view with good variety of dishes. The Kobe steak was delicious and for vegetarians the chili relleno was great!
Although the dining room was almost empty, our service was very, very slow.
I ordered the beef tenderloin, to be cooked medium rare. What came was two very thin slices of beef well done. When I asked our waitress why I didn't get a single beef filet cooked medium rare she brushed me off saying that that was the way the chef cooked it. For a $44 or $45 entree I found the explanation as thin as was the beef. Will certainly never go back, although we live in Santa Fe, and will be telling many friends about this unhappy experience. Always a treat to eat at this outstanding restaurant. Wonderful staff, terrific food, attention to detail. Always. Add to that a magnificent setting and you have true magic.
Erick provided excellent and attentive service, the food was spectacular and the ambiance incredible with the mountains vista and hotel grounds adding to the enjoyment of the moment.
The Mother’s Day brunch was an awful value. Was expecting much more for $90 per person. Would have expected shrimp, lobster, oysters, filet, a mimosa, etc. Instead, it was an omelet station and carved pork loin. The service was next to non existent. Really not a good experience for the price.
Wonderful, made sure to recognize a wedding anniversary and made table feel special.
Wow- the food was unbelievable! Awesome service with a beautiful view!!
Wonderful location. Food was excellent and the staff, both inside and outside the restaurant were great. Highly recommend this resort.
We reserve a table for three for an Easter Brunch. On arrival we had a choice of patio or indoor seating. We chose indoor as the afternoon was still cool. When shown to our table, it was a table for four with three chairs in an awkward diagonal configuration set among other tables with either two of three chairs. The appearance of this dining area was quite disappointing.
We were offered the Easter buffet without a quote price and suggested that we view the offerings. One person in our party requested to order from the menu and the waiter advised they were offering only limited items from the luncheon menu. The appearance of the menus took slightly less time than incredible wait for our drink order. Two of our party selected the buffet which had some tasty offerings.
Service throughout our meal what practically non-existent.
When I received the billing and saw the per person price of the buffet I was simply flummoxed! We certainly did not receive the kind of value we were being charged and, as already mentioned, the service was dismal.
I would advise patrons to stick to the signature burger here - while expensive, it is one of the best in Northern New Mexico.
Had Made Easter brunch reservations with friends....arrived 30 min early to have a drink at bar...At 1 pm told the hostess we were ready for our table and she said "great"...leads us to table and says "Oh no, someone else is in your table...LOTS of tables were available. We told her that we didn't care b/c we could sit at any table. She told us to wait and 20 min later, we were still not seated and watched others be seated that had arrived after our 4 some........I finally just sat a table for 4 and told her we were going to sit here! The waiter told us he was new at least 10 times! Took 25 minutes to get our Bloody Marias....food was less than mediocre...when we explained to the restaurant mgr. what had happened he said "Oh, ok!!!" We said "no, it is not ok!" We had to ask him to comp our Bloody Marias since we waited so long...for drinks and to be seated.
We are locals and will probably not return....
Perfect! Food and service was amazing! Sunset was absolutely beautiful!!! New favorite date place!
We ate at Terra several times while staying at the Four Seasons. We had breakfast once, dinner once, and dinner in the lounge twice. The food is excellent. The service is extraordinary - the kind where you feel very catered to without feeling imposed upon. We were probably the only guests with kids during our stay, and everyone was really nice about it. Fun fact- you can play ping pong and board games in the game room while waiting for dinner.
Enjoyed our special birthday evening at Terra. Our waitress was knowledgeable, attentive and helpful.
Food was excellently prepared and very tasty. We noticed new food items on the menu and a new wine
list which is always good sign. Would highly recommend Terra for the view and menu selections.
No one would greet or seat us. No one else there except employees. Asked the front desk clerk for assistance. We were told to seat ourselves, only asked to get up and go sit in the bar as they were going to do interviews. Yes, really. Then I got a rate your service email. I did and minutes later the manager confronted me in front of what was suppose to be a 65th birthday celebration, it was offensive. Applebees would have better. Shame on four seasons
Always first rate. Delicious food, terrific waitstaff, beautiful surroundings.
Wonderful experience. Their signature burger has to be the best we've ever had. Service is impeccable in a unique New Mexican ambiance.
Fantastic food, service. Beautiful vistas. I’ll be back soon.
Delicious. Fresh. Lovely.
Spot on from service to flavours. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend and will be back!
Not for wends dinner, paella very small ,not desert ,not appetizer.Wine very average
Excellent ... food, service, atmosphere... as always. Great value for Restaurant Week.
Fantastic meal. We live in SF, and we'll be back.
This was a cooking demonstration with Chef Kai. Very intimate. Paella for all!
Overall, it was a terrible experience. We went for lunch on a Sunday during restaurant week. We stood at the front of the restaurant and waited several minutes for someone to notice us and seat us, and the service only went downhill from there. We never really knew who our server was, as at least four different people came to our table over the course of the meal. The food took a very long time, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. When it did come, it was mediocre at best. Dried out chicken enchiladas on a cold bed of rice and beans - all for the low, low price of $29. No one ever came by to ask how the food was or refill our water glasses, so sending the food back wasn't really an option. When my ordered drink sat undelivered at the bar for over ten minutes, I finally went over and got it myself and complained to the bartender about the terrible service. To their credit, the manager came over and comped the entire meal and apologized, but I would have much rather had a great meal and experience that I paid for than receive a bad meal and subpar service for free.
Went with a group of friends for Santa Fe Restaurant week.
Personnel were friendly and food was awesome. Green chili chowder was especially delicious. Was a little loud in the dining room but perhaps it was just a collective “yum”.
Outstanding as always. Even with the price fixe for restaurant week the plates were all amazing
Our dinner was lovely. The food was excellent and all the staff were pleasant and attentive. My only complaint was that service broke down a little near the end of our dinner, but it could have had to do with a miscommunication by a member of our party. We have eaten here on several special occasions and have always had excellent service and a wonderful experience.
We stopped for lunch at Terra. The food was great! The overall property didn’t feel like it was up to par with other 4 Seasons properties. Perhaps we’ll check it out again in the Summer.
Excellent menu choices with well informed staff. Excellent food preparation and presentation. No better ambiance in Santa Fe.
My wife and I both had the omelette each with our own three choices of ingredients. The omelettes were light and the ingredients very fresh. We both began with freshly squeezed orange juice and they were excellent. I got an order of rye toast and it was served with very good preserves. We began our meal with a glass of Gruet: bubbly and delicious. Our server was very good and attentive. We have had dinner and lunch here from time to time. The high quality continues....
Off the charts excellence. Dining was extraordinary, service warm but professional. The beef tenderloin with root veggies was a culinary delight comparable to any of the finest restaurants on the planet.
The food is really good here - and a beautiful setting!
Service was not great. There was a large table nearby which resulted in very slow service for our party of four and multiple servers waiting on our table. Not terrible by any means, but not typical four seasons polished and efficient service.
Fine not great. Probably wouldn’t dine here again unless staying at the resort and without other options.
Beautiful view! Christmas Eve brunch very nice
Enjoyed the Christmas Enchiladas
Very disappointing. This was my first visit since Four Seasons assumed management from Auberge. Entire property has lost a lot of its charisma since the change over.
2 nights. First was my birthday, which was acknowledged. I do wish there were more lighter fare entrees. Breakfasts were way too expensive. Servers, pace of meals were all fine.
