Teatro rinde homenaje a la locación del restaurante en el distrito de artes y teatros en Calgary. Durante más de 20 años, Teatro ha servido gastronomía mediterránea contemporánea en una atmósfera de buena comida dentro del histórico Toronto Dominion Bank (establecido en 1911). Su cava galardonada cuenta con más de 13.500 botellas y 1.100 marcas, con un enfoque en vinos de Italia y Bordeaux.     We are excited to welcome alumni chef Daniel Pizarro back to Teatro ! Chef Daniel (now of Murrieta’s Group) will be working with Camilo to explore their Chilean heritage through food, featuring dishes from their childhood, paired alongside one of the iconic wine estates of Chile; Montes. Your ticket includes cocktail hour at 6pm, followed by a 3 course dinner served family style with pairings from Montes, including their illustrious Purple Angel, by many considered the finest Carmenere in the world.

    Still our favourite restaurant in Calgary but the kitchen has an off night as they went from sublime to not up to the mark. To their credit the more than capable manager resolved the situation with aplomb ! The kitchen is usually stalwart but on this occasion things went awry. Desserts were smashing as usual

    Food was creative and delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive; very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for a meal before an event at Arts Common.

    We chose this restaurant for our anniversary and left feeling underwhelmed. We ordered the chef’s tasting menu at $135 per person, along with several drinks, and the bill came to a large amount — which would have been fine had the experience matched the price. Unfortunately, it didn’t. The food was fair but not particularly memorable. A dish was noticeably over-charred, and the portion sizes were so small that we left hungry — not what you’d expect from a tasting menu. At one point, we wondered if we had been forgotten altogether, as there was an unusually long delay before dessert arrived. Service was friendly but not especially attentive. Most concerning was the mix-up with our listed food allergies, which should be handled with far more care. Overall, for the price and the occasion, the evening fell short. While we had hoped for more, the experience missed the mark for us, and we’ll likely look elsewhere next time.

    Used to be special but Food was pretty average. The calamari was typical heavy breaded stuff you’d find in pubs, not a restaurant of this calibre. Eggplant farm was pretty good though. This is a more expensive place so you expect to get better value on the food. Can’t beat the ambiance though.

    Overall we had a good experience at Teatro, the food was really good but the prices very high. Aprox 100pp food + glass of wine ... we enjoyed the experience but not sure if we would choose again for a special occasion.

    The drinks were good. The ambience is truly an experience sitting in there - feels quite fancy & you don't feel like you are in Calgary anymore. The pasta was pillow soft. We got the vegetarian dish with pesto & thoroughly enjoyed it. The eggplant dish that we ordered to share was out of this world... We ordered calamari as an appetizer which was a bit too salty & wasn't that great. The food is definitely on the heavier side but worth going on!!also I'm sure that their meat & seafood dishes are prime which we couldn't try. We ended our dining experience with the tiramisu - it was truly so good 😊😊😊

    Had an excellent experience with the chef’s tasting menu and wine pairings. The food was exceptional and the pairings were great. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. The sommelier was incredibly enthusiastic. We had a show to get to, and they made sure we’d have time for the full menu and be out on schedule.
