Teatro rinde homenaje a la locación del restaurante en el distrito de artes y teatros en Calgary. Durante más de 20 años, Teatro ha servido gastronomía mediterránea contemporánea en una atmósfera de buena comida dentro del histórico Toronto Dominion Bank (establecido en 1911).     Teatro has a lovely ambiance and we were warmly greeted. Had to wait 10minutes for our reserved table so they shuffled us off to near the bar area and gave us a glass of prosecco. Once seated, we placed our order only to have our waiter come back and ask us again about what appetizers we ordered. He forgot one. Once we ordered, we did not get a morsel of food for one hour and had to bring this to the attention of the management. Meanwhile, the table next to us who had arrived after us had already had their apps and received their main course. They compensate led us for our apps as a gesture and checked on us again. The martini was not great, the lemon olive cake was not great. Overall, wished wr had gone somewhere else.

    Cocktail fine. Bistecca for 2 was amazing. Everything was fine but felt isolated — stuck n back corner to the right of entrance. Little ambience … also service a little lacking only because of where we were situated. I would dine again.

    The service is second to none and the food is spectacular, beautifully presented and so delicious. The dessert was next level, definitely get dessert. We had a wonderful evening.

    We always share meals together and asked for it it be split but it came out on one plate and we were given two dollar store tiny plates to split the meal ourselves. Not impressed.

    Still our favourite restaurant in Calgary but the kitchen has an off night as they went from sublime to not up to the mark. To their credit the more than capable manager resolved the situation with aplomb ! The kitchen is usually stalwart but on this occasion things went awry. Desserts were smashing as usual

    Food was creative and delicious. Service was attentive but not intrusive; very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for a meal before an event at Arts Common.

    We chose this restaurant for our anniversary and left feeling underwhelmed. We ordered the chef’s tasting menu at $135 per person, along with several drinks, and the bill came to a large amount — which would have been fine had the experience matched the price. Unfortunately, it didn’t. The food was fair but not particularly memorable. A dish was noticeably over-charred, and the portion sizes were so small that we left hungry — not what you’d expect from a tasting menu. At one point, we wondered if we had been forgotten altogether, as there was an unusually long delay before dessert arrived. Service was friendly but not especially attentive. Most concerning was the mix-up with our listed food allergies, which should be handled with far more care. Overall, for the price and the occasion, the evening fell short. While we had hoped for more, the experience missed the mark for us, and we’ll likely look elsewhere next time.
