Made a reservation to be seated on the porch, even called to confirm reservation and seating on porch but when we got there they said they had a big party on porch and we could not sit there. They put us on a side room where we were the only people there even though the service was excellent we had to wait so long for our dinner. We were very disappointed and won’t be being guest there anymore.

Have eaten at this restaurant about three times before and the food was always quite good. Have always ordered the BG which is bacon wrapped grouper and it has been fantastic. However we ordered it this time and it was overcooked. Could not slice it with the regular knife we were provided. I think they fired the fish way too early because our server came to clear our appetizer plates when we were still working on them and then likely our food sat under a lamp waiting. We were out for a nice night with friends and my husband and I didn’t want to make it awkward so did t say anything. Later my husband asked the other man in our group who also ordered the BG how he liked it and got the same response.

The food is too costly to be so unsatisfactory so if we ever eat there again and have the same experience I will definitely say something.

It’s unfortunate...and the poor fish who gave their lives only to be half eaten!!!!

We had brunch and were very impressed with the buffet which for all the cold items which had shrimp, crab, fruits, salads and so many other items I can't mention them all. You then ordered your warm food selection which was delivered at a time of your liking. They have a bloody mary bar and Mimosa's are bottomless. We will go back again.

Always perfection. Our favorite place to go! THE place for seafood in SW Florida.

The atmosphere was nice as was the facility. I feel that the food was only average and I was expecting a little more from the higher end restaurant at a Hyatt resort. The kids Mac and cheese seemed like Kraft from a box. My meal was very tasty but I would say the other meals were average and not very creatively repaired. Service was also average.

We made the reservation and took another couple as we had been there once before and they had not. The service was very poor. We waited a very long time between seeing our waitress to order drinks and entrees and entrees took forever to come. Best parts of the meal for me were salad and the little chocolates served at the end, however, our guest had his salad delivered with not dressing. When he asked for dressing, waitress said they were all out of dressing that was supposed to be on the salad. She eventually brought him a different dressing. Handled very badly by either the kitchen or the waitress (not sure who decided not to say anything about the dressing). Food was just ok and service was very slow. Waitress was pleasant in her demeanor. I don't know if you were short handed or not but we don't plan to return.

This was our second visit to Tarpan and we had a repeat of our original excellent fresh fish and excellent service. I recommend the Diver's Spear. One word: Phenomenal !!!!!!!
I also love it when they tell the service charge is included so I don't get screwed. I reward honesty BTW.

A fabulous dining experience!! Simply the best service from Josh White, our friendly, knowledgeable and energetic server! Each of us loved our meals, but my Tarpon Thai dish is my all-time favorite! My son said the BG was the best grouper dish he's ever had...kudos to Chef Gaston and his team! We're already talking about when we can experience Tarpon Bay again.

We enjoyed the food. However I had mentioned with my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and we mentioned it again at the restaurant and they didn’t do anything. Also we waited for milk to go in the tea for over 15 min as well as the bill.

Have had dinner twice in the last week. Service and food excellent.
Last week ordered a cake for a birthday. The cake was truly delicious. Very beautifully served. One of the best cakes I have had in years.
Candace was our waitress who was terrific.
Sat outside and enjoyed the beauty of the water fountain.

We had not visited Tarpon Bay in over a year and had forgotten what a memorable dining experience it can be. The food, service and ambiance are amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. Be sure to walk through the beautifully manicured grounds before or after dining

Food and service were very good. A wide selection of smaller and larger items, so one could pair 2-3 appetizer or side items into a full meal. This restaurant is a great alternative to the "in-season" chaos at many Naples area restaurants.

Very good food. Expensive. Waitress was excellent, very helpful and knowledgeable but I think they were short staffed. Very slow service. Almost sorry we said we weren't in a rush but didn't expect to be sitting for almost 3 hours for just 2 people. Great scenery/ambience if seated on the porch, otherwise pretty standard if inside.

We have dined here several times in the past while staying at the Hyatt, and have always been happy with our experience. Well this was probably our worst experience. We would have liked the outdoor seating, especially since it was a special occasion, there was none available, which I understand first come first serve, however, I did note that it was a birthday when I made the reservation on Open table. My husband tripped down the stairs pretty hard on to a cement floor, so that didn't start the night off good for him, the service was very, very slow, also my daughter ordered a lobster tail but received a full lobster, we were told it would take too long to cook her a tail, even though the full lobster was more expensive, she did not enjoy it or know how to eat it!

Prior to our visit to the Hyatt, I researched bakeries and found one that would deliver to the Hyatt, so the bakery and myself made arrangements with the hotel to have the cake delivered to the restaurant for my son's 18th birthday, well the cake was not there when we were ready to celebrate and it seemed nobody knew nothing about it. I was so upset about this entire dining experience.

Sword fish over cooked, optional risotto was undercooked and rice was hard/crunchy. Wine service was wanting. Have been there many times...they were under staffed for a busy night and the food and service reflected that. As I did not eat my entre, it was comped, but I was not offered choice of another selection.

Overall was satisfied with the food here they have really fresh seafood the only concern is when they have large groups there the kitchen can get a little backed up and then everyone in the restaurant waits for their food so it's a little hit and miss depending on what's going on one night our food was there quickly and the following night we waited an hour for a main course sit outside for the view it could be noisy inside

Beautiful setting but service was sketchy. We were seated and promptly received a bread basket. Then we waited 15-20 minutes for a waiter, only to have to ask the hostess to fetch one. Our waitress apologized with an awkward explanation and we ordered. Then we waited another 20 mins for our food, with the waitress constantly assuring us the food was coming.
My entree was good but my wife’s ala carte twice baked potato wasn’t. My entree was good.
Later, the manager stopped by to apologize and took my drink off our bill.
?
Maybe it was just a rough night, but the service -especially for a Hyatt resort property- was not acceptable. Something is a bit amiss here.
We’ll try again, because it’s such a pretty place and we want it to be good.

Tarpon Bay has a wonderful Florida casual ambiance while still being recognized for upscale gourmet food. Our experience was excellent, in spite of the fact that we dined on one of the busiest restaurant nights of the year. Food presentation and taste were awesome and the setting was very romantic. Definitely a must for your next special occasion!!
