The food was excellent, fresh and beautiful presented! The staff was great and accommodating!
Ambiance just beautiful
Brunch food quality was disappointing or $50 PP. The buffett was OK, but the entrees, particularly the chicken and waffles, were well below expectations. The fish entree comes with some french fries-nothing else-but the filet was good.
Anniversary dinner. Food was fantastic... there was a large party a few tables down with loud children. They’re should be a separate area for parties over 10. Wasn’t exactly cozy for us as we had to listen to other people’s children.
Wonderful assortment at the self-serve buffet, including sushi, oysters, shrimp, duck breast, salmon, home-baked rolls, salads. Good choices for the main meal, and all the while free-flowing bubbly (OK, not the best brand, but very drinkable). Excellent, attentive, and pleasant service!
This place is expensive. Be prepared. The dinners were good, but size was smaller than expected. Waitress did say presentation of food is important. Family of 4 and my check was over 240. Location right next to the Hyatt is good and that’s why we chose it.
Server was Lisa and she was fantastic as was her support staff. Lisa was very knowledgeable about the menu, had great recommendations and was very griendly. We had our kids and they were treated fantastic. Food was fantastic. From apps to main entrees there wasn't a misstep all night. We will return and if you go ask for Lisa
Ambiance was very nice. Service was mediocre (our server was very nice but not very fast). My $45 bone in ribeye barely had flavor (minimal marbling, wasn't seasoned). My friends crab legs were barely warm, almost cold. Caesar salad was dry with barely any dressing. They were happy to bring more. They brought the manager over and he took off half the price for the crab (my friend ate it, so that was more than fair). I didn't mention the issue with my steak. I don't expect this is a typical experience and would go back another time and order something different.
Wonderful service from Jason and delicious food- our party had the filet mignon, the tuna and risotto!
Excellent seafood-centered Sunday brunch. Buffet plus entree ordered off the menu. Perfect service, not crowded, nice soft live music. We will be back.
Anniversary brunch. Seafood, Bellinis and pastry dishes were to die for.
The food was absolutely delicious! Grilled swordfish, Rockefeller risotto, scallops, filet minon etc..Key lime pie! The wine was great but $80 for a bottle of Santa Margarita is outrageous!
Not enough good choice on the menu in confront of the one during season even dessert buffet so limited
Outstanding food quality. Poor ambiance or no ambiance. Very poor service and screaming kids! Will not return even though the food quality and flavor was outstanding. Small portions, too small for $45 entree.
A bit pricey, but overall a nice way to celebrate Father’s Day. Our server, Sue, was wonderful!!!
The ambiance and food are excellent. The last two times we have been here, the service has been slow. It appears that they have reduced the size of the wait staff. I had to ask several times for a coffee refill. It took 45 minutes to receive our main course after we completed our entrees. Great food, however.
My daughter and I went there for the three course price fixe menu for restaurant week. We didn't order any drinks or appetizers and we were there 2 hours. It took Aden hour for us to get our food. Apparently our ticket got lost or behind a big party. Our server kept apologizing and thanking us for being patient. After 6 times of that I went and got the manager. This was after one hour. It didn't get better from there. They did offer us afree glass of wine. We waited and waited and waited for a to go box and our check and the dessert that came with our meal. Again I went and got the manager and said just forget the dessert, I just want to get out of here. They comped our meal. I would still never go back..
We traveled here last year, from Windermere, FL, for Father's Day and were very excited to eat here again after a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we were not as impressed. The food quality has gone down significantly. The buffet was good but not great. The entrees we received were disappointing. I ordered the lobster roll which came with a greasy, over saturated in butter, small roll with very minimal pieces of lobster. Not a classic lobster roll. My husband ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were over cooked and dish was bland. Presentation was horrible. My sons had the steak and eggs and the grouper. Both were just mediocre. Not sure if we will return next yr.
Had a fantastic time took the wife there for her birthday for Sunday brunch. Starting off with endless mimosas you can't beat that and top it off with some delicious food and some soft jazz, great ambiance. Jason took good care of us and he was very attentive and detail-oriented, nice touch...definitely will be back again.
Delicious food and a beautiful setting! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We had a special 4 course meal with a bottle of wine that was fantastic. Loved the tuna ceviche, house salad, fillet and grilled snapper all followed with a fresh fruit shortcake. Delicious.
After securing a reservation a week earlier, my wife and I were put at a table outside on the porch. ( nothing available in the airconditioned dining room, I guess) The temp. Was above 90 degrees and humid. Being close to 80 years old made it very uncomfortable to enjoy dinner, (unhealthy also). The salad included a 6 inch hair. Also, kokomy cocktail had a smaller hair. Since we were there to celebrate my wife's 79th birthday, we tried to make the best of the evening. BUT, NEVER AGAIN.
Jason our server was top notch
We have gone many times to Tarpon Bay and loved it. This time they sat us in a booth and it was SO loud. Food was good, service was great. We will go back as we live nearby however won’t sit near the kitchen area again.
This is Sunday Brunch done right! This morning we enjoyed the loveliest brunch service from Sue at Tarpon Bay. She was friendly & made us feel like family visiting.
The brunch buffet is filled with delicious, fresh seafood, sushi, salads, a lox & bagels station, pastries, charcuterie, & desserts. Everything was beautifully prepared and all of the accompaniments you’d want for each dish were there... it was the perfect buffet spread! Then... on top of all of that... you order a small hot dish as well! We were so full that we ordered our hot dish to-go.
This is a brunch I would repeat for sure! Next time we visit we’ll be sure our trip includes a Sunday so we can enjoy this again.
We had heard great things about Tarpon Bay. We found the food to be mediocre at best. I had salmon and my husband steak. Will probably not go back. We live here and dine out frequently. There are far superior options in terms of quality, taste and value. Really disappointed... not sure what we are missing about this place?
We were given a window table with water view as we requested; but because that room was a little noisy with larger groups, we asked to be moved to a quieter section of the restaurant, and the hostess graciously moved us to another table where we could enjoy our own quiet conversation. Food and service was perfect!
Nice atmosphere but we were expecting gourmet quality and every course was just ok. We wouldn’t go back and did better with a local fish house outside the hotel.
Had a lovely experience. A very classy place. Great ambiance. We dined outside and enjoyed the service & food tremendously. We will be sure to come back next time we’re back in town.
I felt it was very expensive. Food was mediocre.
Ceviche was only okay, I’ve had better at PFChangs.
Wine was marked up 300%.
We sat in the bar to hear the entertainment on Saturday. Chris does a great job with Jazz music. I especially enjoyed Candy Dulfer "Lily was Here" .Our waitress Nicole was attentive, engaging and just plain over the top excellent! I started with fresh oysters and then followed with fresh lobster with asparagus. My husband and I split the key lime pie for desert. One feels like they are with family the staff is so hospitable. In fact we enjoyed ourselves so much the night before that we returned.
Food was great service sucked she only came out 3 times to take the order then the second time I waved her down and then the third we had to get another employee to go get her so we could get our check
The food and ambiance was excellent. Our server, Nicole was outstanding. Tarpon Bay is one of our favorite places for Sunday brunch.
Really special restaurant. Only challenge was a large noisy group near our first seating and we were moved when we asked to a much quieter booth. Sue is a great waitress. Food is excellent.
Our server Drew was on top of things :) we enjoy it! \(^0^)/
Food was awful, they need a new head chef because food has no taste and the staff doesn’t even know how to cook rice. I bet the restaurant would be busier if they had better food. Service was pleasant and nice although food came out very slow and it wasn’t even busy. Would not recommend to anyone. And for the cost it’s certainly not worth it. Don’t go!
The price has increased :-( and the website mentioned the previous price. A 20% has been added on the bill because we were 6 ? My husband and I, my daughter and her husband, my 2 grandchildren. This is not a party bit a family.
Everything was first class
