Wonderful food as always! The crab dip and the crab bisque wa perfect for the cold weather!
We enjoyed Table 50 during Roanoke's Restaurant Week. It was a very nice way to try an appetizer, main course and dessert for one set price. My husband and I ordered differently and shared. Everything we ordered was excellent. The fried oysters were cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth. The New Orleans style BBQ Shrimp was very flavorful and spicy. The crab cake was loaded with crab. The shrimp and grits were very tasty, wonderful flavor. For dessert, the caramel cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake were delicious. The portion sizes were smaller, but we very much enjoyed all three courses. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The restaurant does get very loud when busy.
Always a delight. The crab bisque is whats up. Table 50 is the best Roanoke has to offer.
We were seated at a table that basically looked into the kitchen. The swinging door was active all night and very distracting - not to mention a quite unsightly view. I ordered the salmon, it was fairly flavorful, but I was sick before ever leaving the restaurant. Not a good night at Table 50.
Perfect anniversary celebration. Very attentive and friendly staff.
Lots of variety on the menu, reasonably priced wine list, and well-made drinks.
We enjoy all aspects of Table 50 except the noise level. They really need to add some sound muffling. It’s annoying that restaurants receive feedback about noise level but don’t comply. This is a common issue.
I asked our group of 8 what we had to complain about and the unanimous answer was nothing. We had salmon, filet, rib eye, crab cakes, shrimp and grits as well as salads and desert. All done very well! The service was good, the drinks were good.
Awesome experience - great service, extraordinary food and wonderful atmosphere
We love visiting Table 50 especially at Christmas time. Service is usually excellent but this particular time it wasn’t the best - a little slow getting all courses
Always fabulous! They were very busy and food was still great and served in a timely matter!
Good food and ambiance. Waitress seemed distracted and not very efficient.
My wife and I have dined here several times a year for close to 15 years. Food is always good but we have noticed a decline in the restaurant. Food is hit or miss great quality and maybe or maybe not warm when you receive your plate. The restaurant feels like it has lost it upscale etiquette. Over the years the staff has been really welcoming and courteous to explain anything and that continues, but I feel a decline in this restaurant and there needs some change. New menu would be welcomed.
Our "before theater" dining experience was perfect for our group which included a soon-to-be 13 year old granddaughter, who was full of wonder about various names of pasta and their shapes. The menu offered a wide selection of delicious sounding choices and each of our respective entrees was delicious. My crab cake was the best I've ever eaten---anywhere! Our server was friendly and we found her recommendations honest and spot on! Between Blacksburg and Roanoke, this is now my favorite place to dine.
Table 50 is conveniently located on Market Street in downtown Roanoke close to retail, bars, lodging, and entertainment. Downtown Roanoke is walkable. Parking is available in public garages, lots, or on the street. Table 50 is intimate, quiet, and pleasant. We were greeted at the door and immediately seated in a choice location. Ashley was our cheerful and professional server. She made recommendations and assisted us with our selections. The menu is diverse with pasta, seafood, chicken, lamb, beef, and more. The wine list is strong with many excellent choices and several good values. We choose a 2016 Maggio Petite Sirah which was excellent. We shared a Caesar salad and enjoyed the Inner Harbor crab cake and filet. The crab cake was delicious and unlike other cakes because it was primarily crab that lacked binding and as a result sprawled (not crumbled because it was moist) across the grits. The accompanying julienne vegetables were tasty but sparse. The filet was perfectly prepared and the sides were good. We enjoyed a chocolate lava cake filled with something like an orange dreamsicle. It was tasty but a little small. Table 50 offers a pleasant dining experience. The food is good and the location and service excellent.
Service was not as good as it has been in past visits. The food was fair. Nothing special that you couldn’t get elsewhere cheaper. Disappointing
Very slow service on an uncrowded night
3 of my colleagues when to table 50 on the last night of a week long business trip. It did not disappoint. I ordered the crab cakes which tasted fresh and delicious. It was served with a flavorful risotto and vegetables. The staff was friendly and we felt well attended to.
Good time with family
Great wine and cocktail list! The salad has a goat cheese medallion that was burnt. It was quickly remedied though. The filet was medium well on the edges and medium rare on the inside. The creme brûlée duo was delicious! Service was awesome as well. For the price of the meal, I expected better cooking technique.
We always have a good experience at Table 50. We appreciate the great food, consistency, and comfortable, un-stuffy atmosphere!
Nice location, service, and ambiance. Overall food selection and taste was underwhelming. Many of the same dishes are served at similar locations downtown, but seem to be of much better quality. Not sure we would go back.
Wonderful time eating and relaxing with my Jennifer. Great Wines as well to go with the Food
We really enjoyed our evening. Staff was friendly and personable. It was a little loud because 2 large parties were seated near us.
Excellent meal. The tuna on crawfish risotto was outstanding. The crab bisque was amazing.
Excellent service, appetizers & drinks were Great!
The food was great, the drinks were amazing. I would definitely recommend this to another.
15 year anniversary of marriage proposal.
The atmosphere is casual but the food is 5 star. It was not the place for a romantic ambiance. More of a business assoc or just social gathering place. It was hard to hear the music or to talk and hear each other so not the best date place.
However, the filet was one of the best I have ever had. Very tender, cooked perfectly, and just incredible.
The sweet potato gnocchi is like food crack. One of my favorite things to eat anywhere. Great good and service. One of Roanoke’s best!
Awesome cool place. Great wine, atmosphere and food. Highly recommend
Table 50 is one of my favorite restaurants in Roanoke. My family loves the food, service and overall experience. Every dish I have ever tried is delicious. I highly recommend Table 50.
Great staff. Delicious meal. I recommend dining here. I know tell everyone that I meet that Table 50 is a must. I live out of town. I plan to return to Roanoke to shop and dine at Table 50!!!
This is one of the more expensive restaurants in Roanoke. The food is good but I'm not convinced that the food matches the price point. The special on the night we were in was the same special they've had a number of times. Maybe that's just life in Roanoke, when you find something that works you stick with it. I think they have a fine chef who is thoughtful about the food, the presentation, and the seasonings. The waitstaff is very good as well. I think I was just a bit underwhelmed for the price and was hoping for something a bit more big-city flashy.
We were not greeted in the friendly manner we had become used to here in Roanoke. The restaurant was so loud we couldn’t hear our waitress or each other. The beet arugula salad was terrible (wilted and basically no beets) and we sent it back. The redeeming factor was that our entree - ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans were perfectly done. The other couple at our BnB reported a similar experience last week.
Waitress poured us room temp water; no ice in the pitcher. I had to ask twice for ice. Not sure how someone can pour room temp water without noticing no ice in the pitcher, of course it’s not caring if people have cold water or not. Plus she never refilled our glasses. Food was great, as usual. Remember, it’s sometimes the small things that matter when providing great customer service - even down to serving water with Ice.
Waitstaff and bartender were excellent. Some of the food was really good (crab bisque and filet), but the chicken was very tough and way over priced. The asparagus was undercooked and the tough ends of the stalks had not been removed.
We went for a birthday celebration. We had a 7:30 pm reservation. We were sat immediately. The first waitress was great she was charismatic. The problem was we waited about 10 min before the next waitress came to get our drink order. We saw the waitress maybe 3 times the whole time we were there. As far as the food goes.... It was ok but if I am being honest it was not worth the price. My crab cakes and grits were good. The veggies were lack luster. My boyfriend decided to get the pesto pasta and shrimp. He only ate the shrimp and some of the pasta. The shrimp was cooked however it lacked seasoning. The pesto had so much parmesan that was all you could taste. We agreed we could have made that at home. It seemed over priced.
The food was excellent from appetizer to desert!
The food was great. The service was great. We could not have had a more pleasurable dining experience!
