We love sushi hai! The staff and food are always a 10/10. It’s honestly our favorite sushi date night spot in Denver that won’t cost you your entire wallet to have an awesome meal. Order the surf and turf, the mile hai, crunchy roll, and firecracker and hamachi carpaccio style. YUM.

Excellent Sushi and Steak restaurant. We had a great experience with both food and service. You know a restaurant is great if their sashimi tastes fresh and amazing. Their White Tuna sashimi was great as well as the sashimi platter. Highly recommend

My friends and I LOVE Sushi Hai constantly the best sushi hands down in Denver 👏🏼 we always have a great time when we get together here and never feel rushed the staff is so kind and fun. I always have my special occasion dinners here everyone loves it.

Pretty good sushi, bit too much rice on the rolls and it was a bit wet/stickier than “fantastic” sushi would be. Overall the food was very good, especially the apps. Service was friendly but they felt very understaffed, but the waiter was good.

We were there for a birthday dinner and the restaurant was about half full. The food was all very good but the service was poor. The waitress was unfriendly and acted put out when asked for anything. She never refilled any water or drinks. She handed food and drinks to the person at one seat and was annoyed when we did not pass items quickly enough. At the end of the meal she also stood and pointed for plates to be passed. She made the great meal uncomfortable and left us with a bad impression.

Sushi Hai was excellent! We sat at the sushi bar and loved watching the chefs in action. Creative sushi appetizers and rolls and quality fish with a gorgeous presentation. Highly recommend, looking forward to returning to try some other menu items!

Server didn’t seem to know much. Asked him the same question three times and he told me the same answer three times. His answer was incorrect all three times. He had no interest in accommodating our dietary needs. Served me a sushi roll with ingredients I shouldn’t consume. Even asked him after I started eating it, and he told me the incorrect answer again.

I normally do not post reviews but this place was terrible. My wife and I were not allowed to sit in a booth, despite requesting to and being one of two tables in the entire dining room downstairs, the entire time we were there. "We don't seat booths with only two people". The service was alright, but be waited for more water for some time after a few bites of the siracha drenched roll. We could not finish the two rolls because of the soggy seaweed and strange fishy taste, and the mackerel ngiri was inedible. Old fashioned was served in a small water glass, not a rocks glass, with an orange wedge not twist.

We had a friends get together over my wife’s birthday. The experience was fabulous!!! The sushi was extremely fresh and flavorful, a full menu that exceeded beyond just sushi. Dining area was very nice, had the option of a private room, noise level was very low, service was impeccable!! Highly recommended!!!

There were a number servers staffed at the time we arrived for our 5:00pm reservation. It took us and hour and 45 minutes to eat and leave when it could have easily taken an hour. Our server never brought our appetizer, and it took 20 minutes for drinks to arrive. Another 20 minutes waiting on the check, and then 10 more minutes to get our receipt back. All the while multiple staff members passed us without stopping to help. It wasn’t a very nice experience for our anniversary.

We showed up 5 minutes early to our reservation, and we were seated immediately. (Not many people there) We then sat there for 20 minutes and no waiter or waitress came within 10 feet of us. No water, nothing. Mind you, like I mentioned before, there weren’t many people there. Place was maybe 1/3 to 1/2 full. All of the workers were standing by one table and only talking with the one table. So we got up to leave, when I alerted the staff of how long we were sitting there waiting all they had to say was “okay”. So we walked across the street to Little India. They sat us and served us within 20 minutes. Maybe Sushi Hai could learn a bit about how to run a restaurant from their neighbor. Was super excited about this place, but all that came from it was feeling like I wasn’t valued as a customer. Won’t be returning.

The sushi did not taste fresh. The tuna was chewy, never had chewy tuna. Service was TERRIBLE. Never got our appetizer, never came back to check on us, and took over an hour to to get food in a 3/4 full restaurant. Truly disappointed in Sushi Hai

Sushi Hai is special. It has been my go-to place for Sushi, since it first opened many years ago. On this particular occasion we went for my birthday. As I have come to expect, the service was impeccable, the food absolutely divine and they gave me a free drink for my birthday!

Very good sushi. Server was a little scarce, but very friendly and helpful. They did forget to give us one of our rolls, but the server apologized, removed it from our order, and let the staff know what happened so they could improve their service. Overall, a very good experience and we will definitely come back.
