My family dined here on a Friday in Lent, expecting to be a lot more seafood choices than was on the menu, however, what we did order was excellent, and we'll go back another time for the dishes with meat and sausage! I recommend checking the menu before going. The service was excellent. The noise level was very loud.

Uncomfortably loud, we had difficulty holding a conversation. Ordered the scallops and plate was filled with potatoes, some green beans and 3 scallops! The flounder was poor and disappointing as well. There are way too many other dining options in New Orleans.

We come here every time we are in New Orleans. But this time the food was tasteless. Especially the crab/crawfish soup….it tasted like paste along with the consistency. I had the red fish. It was ok. We also had the charcoal oysters…..now they were delicious. Plenty of flavor. Can’t say that for the rest of the meal. So disappointed.

The food and service was excellent. Our server went out of her way to make sure the chef followed the instructions on the food. WE had the flounder and the catfish - both were excellent and highly recommended.

My daughter’s love Superior Seafood and we always have to schedule a visit when they are in town! Both the food and service are excellent and never let us down! If you have never eaten at Superior Seafood, you need to put it in your restaurant to do list!

When people only have 1 meal in New Orleans, Superior Seafood is a good option. I love taking out of town guest here because they have New Orleans style food or non-New Orleans style food. They have plenty of gluten free / dietary restriction options. And they have good ambiance / It’s right off St Charles. Huge pro for me is all the frozen drinks. I got a Frozen French 75 (which is my go to here) and my wife got a Frozen Mojito. Both were good! Food: My wife got the Char-boiled Oysters. This is the best way to have oysters. Having the cheese and butter cook the oysters is way better than the sliminess of raw oysters. She got a dozen and made it her meal. This is her “go to meal” here. Or it would also make for a good appetizer to share with a couple people. I got the Blackened Catfish Napoleon. It came with a corn and crawfish type sauce, and was served on a bed of mashed potatoes. I would definitely get again.

Showed up early for a late lunch and were seated immediately. We tried the crawfish cornbread and loved it. Our fish entrees were fantastic and filling. The service was excellent and the ambiance of the this restaurant/bar fits so well into this neighborhood. We will be back.

We were promptly seated, and our drink and appetizer order were taken immediately. So far, so good. The drinks and oysters arrived, and both were pretty good. Then that's it. We sat there, ignored by our waiter, for 45 minutes. We watched other tables, who were seated after us, place their dinner orders and even receive their food... yet still, our waiter never returned to take our order or refill our drinks. We tried flagging him down, and he pretended to not see us. I have no idea what we did to upset him, but please, tell us you don't want to serve us instead of just ghosting us. On the way out of the restaurant (we eventually just left enough cash to cover what we had received) I spoke with the hostess, who seemed genuinely concerned, but also genuinely unable to do anything about it. I am so disappointed. This really was something that should not have happened. If we somehow upset this waiter, I wish he had told us instead of going all passive aggressive. In the end we went to another restaurant and received excellent service and food. TLDR... it's a very nice restaurant, the food choices are excellent, and the charbroiled oysters were decent. Just decide that if you get bad service in the first fifteen minutes, just leave... don't wait hoping it'll get better.
