I and my wife celebrated our anniversary at Sugarbeet. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the wine, the beer and and items on the menu. We were served a small glass of complementary Prosecco for our special occasion. The soup was excellent and the filet was probably the best I have ever been served. The quality of the meat was extraordinary and the meat was prepared to perfection. We were attended to by the staff extremely well. This was my first visit to Sugarbeet but I will travel the 30 miles to visit the gourmet restaurant again.
My husband and I frequently dine at Sugar beet. We love the quiet ambience, the informative staff, and of course, the food. Outstanding
One the best restaurants in Longmont. Selection somewhat limited due to COVID. 3 other tables occupied during our visit. Good service
We go here all the time. It is one of the best restaurants in town. They had this new dish with pappardelle, buffalo mozzarella and shrimp. It was amazing!
After three months of closed restaurants due to Covid-19 restrictions, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The salads were fresh, the halibut cooked to perfection and the chocolate truffle cake was wonderful.
Great atmosphere and service, but the food was lackluster. My wife and I both found our dishes to not have the "wow" factor we were expecting.
Always a dinning delight. Great people. We
I ordered the scallops entree and it was served on a bed of pasta. The scallops were amazing, unfortunately the pasta was tasteless. Ny dinner companion had the rib dinner and it was great.
Em exceeded our expectations! Jessica was a wonderful server. They greeted us with champagne for our anniversary!
Excellent as always. COVID rules in place and carefully adhered to. Always a treat
Great restaurant because it has s reliably consistent good food They could vary their menu more but who’s getting picky. Solid wine list. An owner who is always there and cares
Delicious food, safety protocols in place and a wonderful date night!
This is our absolutely go to restaurant when we want to celebrate a special occasion and even when we are not. It reminds me of being in a European city and frequenting a restaurant twice and every subsequent time you make a reservation you are paired with your favorite server and a world class sommelier. The consistency of quality and service are impressive. Who would have ever thought you could have found a true gem like this in Longmont CO under the Ken Pratt Viaduct. All I can really say is these people make me feel really special and that is so hard to find these days
My guests were very happy and decided to return and I hope to do the same although I live further away.
Staff was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. They were meeting all social distancing and cleaning standards. I had a lovely meal out on the patio with friends and would go back in a heartbeat.
If your looking for a place that has possibilities of earning a michelin star or two, come eat here. In this strange part of town under the bridge of Longmont is this tucked away restaurant awaiting to be discovered. Step inside and check out the atmosphere!
Great Dinner, Great Staff, Great Wine. Will be going back
Sugarbeet continues to be our favorite restaurant in Boulder County, never more so than during the pandemic. It is the ONLY restaurant in which we feel 100% comfortable and safe dining inside. Our fabulous meal on Friday evening was perfect in every way. What a treat during these trying times!
Super great food. This is a chef-owned and operated local restaurant. They have a smaller many of truly awesome main dishes. My wife and I went for our anniversary recently. The service was excellent, the ambiance was awesome (even during COVID!) and the price was reasonable given the quality. Without drinks, our bill for 2 was around $110.
Best service in Longmont that I have experienced. However some of the food was a bit off. This is a Farm to Table place and though the quality of food was outstanding, some of the flavors just weren't quite right. I was there on a Tuesday and something seemed off in the kitchen (maybe it was the chefs night off) but the front of the house was outstanding.
Felt pretty comfortable eating here, especially when that is not always the case during Covid. Food was great and staff were very friendly!
We have enjoyed Sugar Beet for many years and feel it is the best restaurant in Longmont . Always a fresh, farm to table selection with innovative recipes.
We took a 3 year break from Sugarbeet after internal changes several years ago led to a less-than-average meal. We gave it another shot but left disappointed. I called it average because our server was so good. We were satisfied with the charcuterie plate and my wife liked her drinks. My wife ordered scallops. The noodles were cool and far too al dente (undercooked). I ordered the flatiron steak and frites. The steak had a large section of gristle and otherwise rather chewy. The accompanying chard was too bitter to match the steak, and the frites seemed like average fries with a burger. A $27 steak shouldn’t have gristle.
We were seated in the bar area and the outside weather was cold. The traffic through the door made our seating area cold. We asked if we could be seated in the dining area but apparently we could not due to perhaps other reservation requests despite the room being essentially empty. (There is Covid.) There was a loud couple near us as well who seemed a little over the top and they left because of argument they were having.
In all it was an unsettling and disappointing dining experience. Sorry. We love to support local businesses. We won’t return.
The service is always attentive, caring, and professional. We are so glad they’re open and continue to have superb food and choices. They also will make special drinks even when not on the menu. The Sugar Beet is our favorite restaurant in the area.
My favorite local venue. I’m a regular here, visiting several times per month.
While the menu hasn’t changed much, due to COVID, they do offer some specials each day that are different and yummy. Everything is house made, even (and especially) the desserts. Try the owner’s Baklava. It’s the best I’ve ever had!
Sugarbeet was excellent for a low key and intimate birthday celebration. The food, atmosphere and service was top notch. You won't regret dining at Sugarbeet!
Very unique dinning experience. Just what my husband and I needed for our date night! Food was exceptional, service was incredible. First time visitors, but absolutely not our last!
Wonderful!! Food, drinks, apps and bread was amazing!! Wish we had room for dessert 🍨 😋
We had the most lovely Birthday dinner you can imagine! The wait staff was so warm and attentive, and dinner was perfect. I love their menu, lots to choose from and everything was delicious.
We've been coming here for many years, and always have had a wonderful dining experience.
This was my favorite restaurant when I lived in Longmont, and it was worth the trip from Denver! Everything was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Can't wait for another excuse to go back.
Great food, taste, variety, top notch Chef & service.
A beautiful dining experience from appetizer through desert! Great server, varied menu! Delightful from start to finish. Consistent quality! Outdoor seating is great when available. Competes with Colorado's finest. Sugarbeet is always our "go to" for outstanding food, value and service.
As always, amazing food, outstanding service. It was super easy to make a reservation on Open Table.
Awesome food! Fun vibe :)
Excellent food. Top notch chef & all services!!! Tables distanced appropriately, very nice background music for dining. Great place for celebrating special occasions...
We went to celebrate our anniversary. I called ahead and requested outside seating (due to covid) and they gladly accommodated. The food was delicious. My husband had the filet that he really enjoyed and l had scallops, which were delicious. Service was great. We will definitely go back!
Great food service and atmospheres. Best place to eat in Longmont. Favorite place to come foe an enjoyable evening.
My favorite Longmont restaurant.
In a way, it's hard to describe Sugarbeet accurately. Sure, the food is consistently good, waitstaff are always friendly and well trained, ambience is inviting and comfortable and the wine list shows care in selection. But what sets it apart, I think, is just the sincerity of Ari and Ben and the rest of their team. They make you feel like you're valued as a customer; actually, they make you feel like you're a friend who you haven't seen for a while. We're from North Boulder and Boulder has a lot of choices - at least we did before Covid - but there are few places that make you feel as welcome as Sugarbeet. As for this trip, we started with lamb skewers and sizzling shrimp and had the scallops and rack of lamb for our mains. As usual, everything was delicious. My wife greatly enjoyed a couple pear martinis with her meal and I ordered Caymus's Bonanza, which was a good match with the lamb. All-in-all we had a most enjoyable visit.
The Sizzling Shrimp was a cool idea and literally comes to your table sizzling in the oil; however the shrimp doesn't have much flavor. A dipping sauce would have helped. The oil was excellent with the bread however. I wish cracked pepper would have been offered at the beginning of the meal. Other than this, food was great and we will certainly be back again.
