First Anniversary dinner for my son and daughter-in-law. The meals were outstanding, as was the service. It couldn’t have been a nicer evening or better experience. Kudos to the Sugarbeet chefs, staff and ownership for this restaurant treasure.
Fantastic evening! This is our favorite place to eat! The staff is very professional, attentive, and personable - the staff made us feel that they genuinely cared about our experience. The food is outstanding. They have creative dishes beautifully presented and just the right amount of food to satiate but not make one feel uncomfortably full. Our party had multiple food allergies, and all of us were able to find something delicious to eat without having to request multiple changes to the dishes on the menu. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant!!!!
Thank you to a friend and a date night
We were seated promptly upon our arrival at the scheduled reservation time and the hostess was pleasant. However, we felt rushed with every step; from ordering a drink and appetizer all the way through to paying the bill. I appreciate attentive service But not a feeling of being rushed through each step when this was meant to be a relaxing environment to enjoy each other’s company, as well as enjoy good food in a relaxing environment on our date.
In addition to feeling rushed, the item we most wanted to try, the tea smoked quail, was not available.
The appetizers and entrées we ordered were delicious. I gave a lower rating on the food portion of this survey due to the unavailability of the desired entrée.
Based on this experience, Sugarbeet would not be our first choice for a future date.
Sugarbeet? Maybe we rename this to just Sugarfood. Everything here was sweet. The duck confit rillettes came warm (?) with a sweet syrup reduction, which to my taste would have been better served with a more traditional approach. The produce was obviously fresh but perhaps the chef might add some counterpoint to the overwhelming saccharine presentation.
The steak was a wonderful cut but again, steak aux poivres would have been more delicious than steak aux syrup. Even the pommes frites were slightly sweet. Its unnecessary.
Obviously I would have preferred a less contrived menu but the extraordinary staff and lovely interior made it a great experience. You might not mind two sugars in everything.
The food was great as usual. Highly recommend Sugarbeet!
Service was great and it was nice to see a busy restaurant. Food was a little bland this time but I've eaten there before and it was fantastic! Really like this place for special occasion.
Good experience. Food was solid but quail was dry, and seasoning lacking in all dishes. Was not greeted by a server for at least 10 min if not more after being sat, but the rest of the meals service was great. Nothing groundbreaking, but great prices for a more upscale experience than most Longmont offerings.
The service was excellent, but the food, halibut, was outstanding. The fish was delicious and the textures and colors served on the plate were fun and tasty. I forgot to mention the superb squash fritters, yummm!
I would highly recommend SugarBeets fir cocktails and or dinner.
Very friendly staff, nice environment, received complimentary sparkling wine for our anniversary and different staff stopped by to congratulate us. Nice touch. Carrot and cauliflower was outstanding appetizer, oysters were fresh tasting. Steak exactly as ordered, rack of lamb beautifully done. Highly recommended.
We love Sugarbeet and it never fails to deliver, both in service and food. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the dishes. Thank you!
Always great food and service with owners on site makes for a very personal and welcoming experience.
As always, the food was superb! The waitstaff made sure everything was great for both of us.
We are so glad Sugarbeet survived the pandemic! The food is delicious and always beautiful, and the service is seamless and professional, yet friendly.
We forgot photos this time, but there was something for everyone. My son in law eats only steak and dessert has to be chocolate, my husband is a foody and had oysters, duck rillade and crab cake in ramen. Portions are generous. The menu is creative, yet approachable.
We went for a birthday date night for my wife. The experience and food were fantastic. We'd highly recommend Sugarbeet, particularly the filet mignon.
Pleasant, welcoming, interesting selections. Only glitch was reservation: not clear that we had one when we did with note that two couples were celebrating anniversaries.
Great food and fantastic service!
Fantastic food, great service and amazing drinks. Really enjoyed our time and would absolutely recommend.
The appetizers are good. Winter squash fritters were great. field greens were great. Oysters overpriced. Duck confit dry as a jerky.
Try the sizzling shrimp and the gazpacho. Everything is great.
Our first visit with 2 other couples. We sat on the patio. Great wine and beer list. Absolutely everything on the menu from appetizers to desserts was outstanding. Starting with salads and their homemade fresh bread and whipped butter which we scarfed down. Good variety of apps and 3 of our party ordered West Coast oysters or the sizzle shrimp.
We each ordered a different entree and everyone raved about how good each was, from how the lamb was cooked to the unusual but very tasty crab cake combo. The halibut was prepared perfectly. Obviously an excellent chef in the kitchen. Don't miss trying one of their housemade desserts....yummy. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, especially on a Tuesday evening, but it was very understandable in that they were short staffed last evening. Our waitstaff and the owner made several trips to our table to check on us and were apologetic. The wait for our meals was worth it. Don't miss this restaurant!! We will be back!
6 friends enjoyed a lovely meal together at Sugar Beet. Service was very good despite the fact it seemed to be very busy that night.
INCREDIBLE! Sugarbeet has become one of our all time favorite places to enjoy! Every time we have been there, the service has been exceptional, the food has been mouthwatering-ly delicious, and the cocktails are delightful (we highly recommend the black tea old fashioned!!!)! The oyster selection changes, and they are always yummy! I have a gluten allergy and they have great options for me to choose. We feel well taken care of when we visit here.
Do not hesitate to try Sugarbeet!
Our meal was truly a delight. We hadn't visted Sugarbeet in awhile for one reason or another and we are so glad we went back. Service was fantastic. The halibut was delicious and the baklava was the perfect sweet. We'll be back soon.
This was our first real date night out in over a year and what a special place we chose to dine at. The service was amazing, food was incredible! We can’t wait to go back! Thank you!
Simply the best. Service, ambiance, food all top notch
Great friendly service. Welcoming. No rush. Made for an enjoyable evening especially since it was our first dining out experience since COVID.
Definitely the best food in Longmont. Would absolutely recommend.
Very good meal overall. Enjoyed the crab cakes, flatiron steak and frites, house salad and ahi Tuna. The filet was covered in too much sauce and the root vegetables were all dark in color making the dish overall quite "dark" and not visually attractive. If ordered again, we would ask for no sauce and other vegetables to brighten the dish.
We had lamb chops & filet mignon. Both were over cooked. The sides for the lamb were some kind of starchy something another (tasteless) and some overgrown, starchy peas. The steak was served with overcooked beets & carrots. Disappointing for our first restaurant experience in 15 months. The tuna appetizer special and the wine were very good.
We came to town for a wedding and wanted a romantic night out. The service here lived up to its reviews and the food was excellent
We came here for our anniversary dinner and had a great time! I've been here once before and thought it was okay, but we decided to give it another go. The hamachi special appetizer was very nice. I would order that again. Cocktails are delicious and they gave us complementary moscato to celebrate.
Outstanding service and the chef hit the main meals out of the ballpark! We had the duck confit for an app and it was very tasty but not as warm as I would prefer. The Filet was also cooked and prepared amazingly, but the cut of the meat was of lower quality than I would expect from such a detail-oriented chef. Our anniversary dining experience was one we will definitely remember.
As always the food is fresh and amazing. It is the place to beat for local quality food.
Best meal ever there snd treated us like royalty. Great service culture.
Wonderful, beautiful food and service. Always a crowd pleaser.
Always been a favorite in Longmont. My 80 year old mother said it was the best steak she ever had.
Food was not as described on the menu. For the premium pricing, I expect premium quality food.
was very hard to find something to eat on the menu. why don't you have any chicken dishes?
your menu used to be super good and easy to choose from. will keep checking online to see how the menu is looking.
Creative and tasty food, very good service, in the nice atmosphere.
