Always a great meal, great service and wonderful evening; every time we are in Baton Rouge. The 9oz Filet was cooked to perfection, as was the lump crabmeat and Hollandaise was excellent.

We hadn't been to Stroubes since they had reopened from the pandemic shutdown. I forgot how much we missed this place. Service and food was great. Redfish and steak was cooked perfect. The chocolate raspberry cheesecake was a perfect ending to a great meal.
Chose this restaurant because it never disappoints. Food and service are always spot on. Would recommend to anyone for any occasion

Food was ok nothing great. Great location great restaurant but food was just ok. Corn and crab bisque no crab all corn and was served lukewarm. The pork chop well had more gristle in it was tough. Drinks were the highlight. My opinion get a new chef or do some training.

Staff was awesome, prfressional. Bartenders were spot on with our drinks. Yes the had Blantons Bourbon!
Only nick is that bartender/manager made it a big point to impress us with how she knew every person in the place at 630 pm , once she found out we were visiting she passed us off to a trainee bartender - while drink mixing was ok no banter from the self proclaimed bartender/manager who loves to talk to people and meet new people. If you ‘ain’t local, you taint getting any attention....

Stroube’s salad - was exceptional - greens fresh, bacon shallot Vingertte dressing With blue cheese and heirloom tomatos - which we convinced ourselves must have been picked that afternoon-
Duck louisaine, 6 oz filet ( two guests ordered that), short ribs with gnocchi, and the redfish on a bed of crawfish risotto and asparagus.
Sides: crawfish mac and cheese, crawfish risotto, and asparagus with Hollandaise sauce.
We passed on some great dessert selections - simply due to our being stuffed - and any room we had was intended for evening cocktail

Desiree our server gave a solid performance despite a surge in guests at other tables just as we finished our starters. She put in a consistently solid performance.

Our server was excellent.
It was their re-opening night so I am understanding they need to work out some issues. Our waiter was wonderful but when the main course came out, my fish was warm and the risotto and asparagus was cold. My husband had to send his steak back because it was basically raw. We were disappointed but certainly understand as they are trying to get back on track.

We had no cutlery or napkins. Two orders of lamp chops: 2 of each had no bone. Skimpy inedible. Very disappointed in the food and the service
I had a reservation made well in advance, and we were seated at a table by the front door and bar. It was very busy and loud. We had an excellent waiter who gave us great tips for ordering and great service. We were dining pre-symphony and he was sure to get us out in time with no rush. Unfortunately, our food was not so great. One diner ordered short ribs and gnocchi and there was very little meat. One diner ordered red fish and while it tasted very good it was not hot when served. The other two diners had a pork chop and filet. Both were good but not great. For the price, we were all very disappointed.
I’d like to give higher marks, but our food came out stone-cold and had to be sent back. We ordered wine with our dinner but it came after we were over half-finished with our meal. Mistakes happen, so we will return again at some point and try again.
Service was great, food was AMAZING. The crab gnocchi is to die for & the filet was one of the best we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back!

The food was great! We had the duck and sausage egg rolls which I highly recommend! Then we had the fillet and the Gouda grits which are heavenly! Also the bread pudding is amazing!!!

Steak was either frozen or still very cold when cooked. Outside of the steak was nicely cooked, but inside was still very raw and hard to cut for a medium steak. First time there for 2 of us and we get the biggest booth next to the kitchen which was distracting and very noisy. I would try other places before I went back.

Went here for a Valentine dinner. The food was delicious the place was pretty and lighting made it intimate. Our server was lovely in the beginning telling us about the specials and even the history of the restaurant. We got our apps and drinks promptly. However there was a Mardi Gras parade the same night. People from the parade started coming in and things changed. They were loud and obnoxious changing the romantic mood of the place. Our server took his time talking and relaying the history of the restaurant to the new tables with no sense of urgency. We literally waited 20 minutes to pay. My wife finally held up the bill and another staff member took it and processed the payment. When our waiter finally got back to us, he didn’t think he even got the check out to us yet. Food was delicious all around but servers need to keep up.
Waiter took forever to take our order as in almost 30 mins and kept asking if she could come back. Food was cold for 2 of the orders.

It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and came out quickly after ordering. Our waiter, Ryan, was fantastic. He was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He and the other staff members made us to feel very welcome and comfortable.
We were very disappointed with this restaurant. Our disappointment came quickly. We each ordered a glass of a nice cab to start. ($15.00 per glass.) When the glass arrived the pour was so small, we thought someone made a mistake. We asked our waiter who explained, no, the restaurant served 4 oz. pours! 4 oz. Really? We inquired about just buying the bottle; he said he would check then never mentioned it again. To add insult to injury, the food was expensive, which we expected when dining at a restaurant like this, but it was mediocre at best.
They were extremely busy for restaurant week and a Saturday night so it took the hostess longer than expected to get us seated, even with reservations. Our waitress tried her best, considering the crowd, to be attentive. Food was delicious though! Glad to know the influx of customers did not reduce the quality of our meal. We will definitely visit again!
