Appetizers were delivered and we had no forks. It took about 10-15 minutes before anyone passed by our table. We let someone know, that person passed our table a couple times and never brought back utensils. After a couple more minutes our server returned. We mentioned it to our server and she brought them. When we received our entrees, the food was cold. I understand you may be understaffed, but this was definitely unfortunate. I did not want to mention it in the moment just because I am sure the staff is doing their best and it is a difficult time. We do not go out much and I was hoping for a better experience.
We had a party of 14. Waiter and her assistants kept up with us. No complaints from my party. Food as usual was excellent! Selection on menu was plenty. Stroubes continues to be our group's choice so we will be back next year.
I truly enjoyed the food! The experience in totality however was halted when the host didn't read the reservation which stated "Special Occassion Newly Weds" And we were seated near a college birthday party ..May because we chose to do a reservation for 9pm not sure but the food was great and the server awesome WOULD WE RETURE HECK YEAA!!!!

Everything was great, first time at this restaurant. We will recommend to others. Not sure why I received a no show email from open table, first time I’ve received one of those.

Great dining experience in a quiet booth in the back of the restaurant providing a great environment to dine and converse with a longtime friend. We enjoyed all of the following: Gumbo (excellent), J Lohr Hilltop wine, Blanton's bourbon, redfish, brussels sprouts, and finished with bread pudding.
I think my wine had been open a while and it was not cold for $11. My 6 ounce filet was not bad but not good for $39. If it hadn't been so expensive I would probably be more forgiving.
Service was very slow. We had to find someone to seat us. Two guests ordered crab cakes. They were burnt on one side and no crabmeat was visible. The risotto was cold and lacked flavor. The bread was cooked to cracker consistency.

We had the duck and andouille egg rolls which were stellar. Our mains were the beef bourguignon and the burger. I’ve been wanting to try both for awhile and they were both great. The burger was far and above my expectations. Perfectly cooked with a nice sear. Overall a great meal like always.
Food was 10/10. Took almost ten minutes for anyone to realize we had been seated and to finally get water delivered to our table. Delivered our appetizer without plates so we had to wait several minutes before eating it, by which time it had gotten cold. Waiter asked if we would like dessert before getting our entrees, and when we told her we hadn’t gotten our entrees yet so didn’t know she said she was embarrassed. Clearly no communication among staff, so we felt unseen the whole time.
Excellent as always. The filet was perfectly done, and the sides of asparagus with hollandaise and crawfish risotto were very good. A glass of Crooked Mayor wine was the perfect complement. Dessert was split - an order of bread pudding. Absolutely perfect!
Food was wonderful. Service was a bit off. We were told a large wedding party was tying up the bar so everything we ordered a drink it took a minimum of 20 minutes to get it once ordered. So couldn’t tell enjoy the filet with a glass of wine nor the desert with the cordial…
The food was excellent. The restaurant was convenient to the Hilton and the convention center.
Food was delicious, service was great. My only critique would be the food wasn't piping hot when we got it, but I think that was just a matter of the table area not being right next to the kitchen.
I came to the restaurant on the basis of a recommendation that it would provide outstanding Louisana cuisine. I was very disappointed with the meal. I had Redfish with a crawfish topping. The fish was dry and the topping had very little flavor. It is not a place that I would recommend to a friend. The wait staff was excellent, but that did not make up for the poor quality of the meal.

The feeling in that place is awesome. We have been a couple of times now and the second was better than the first. Great drinks, food, and atmosphere.

Overall experience was great, however, the menu provided on Open Table was different than at the restaurant. Main reason for choosing restaurant was for menu items, but unfortunately, the menu was different at the restaurant.
Steaks had a charred taste to them & potatoes had an overpowering garlic flavor. Asparagus & dessert were fantastic. Food was good but not worth the money spent. Overall ok experience.

We had a great time here. Celebrated our anniversary. Ordered the Red Fish and the Duck. Both were excellent. Would definitely recommend. Also for an appetizer. We ordered the Beignets. Those were great. I ordered a beer and it came in can. Didn't really care for that. I didn't ask for a mug though either. You have to ask for the complimentary bread. I do like that feature. I think they should make you ask for a straw too. Many people use a straw while many people do not. Just a thought.
Also. There are no prices on the beer selection. The wine choices have a price. The beer does not. I like to know how much I am paying for a beer. Don't understand why some drinks have prices and others do not. Those are my Larry David comments.
Overall the experience and food was spectacular! Clarence was an amazing server and was very attentive! One minuscule thing was that when making the reservation through open table it asked the reason, and it listed multiple options and I selected the anniversary option because it was for our two year anniversary, however I guess it doesn’t relay to the actual restaurant because nothing was said or done in small gestures towards it.
Stoubes was very nice and quiet. The food was AMAZING. I will be going back soon.

Waiter was amazing!! Service was great! My parents celebrating their 40th anniversary had a very special time! The waiter introduced himself, and explained in detail the special.
Meal was good split and salads were the best
Ate here with my friends for my birthday and the food was of good quality. I did notice that another table was sung happy birthday but my table was given nothing. No big deal but I did think it would’ve been nice for the waitress to ask or something.
The tasteless steak was over cooked even though medium was ordered. Nothing exciting about the side that was ordered. The dining room atmosphere was really the only plus for the evening.
A regular Saturday evening family dinner. Had a Bloody Mary , which was very good. Our server was very good. Three in our group, I had The Stroubes salad with added steak , which was good. As the appetizer we had the Stroubes roll. The asparagus was tough and I would not order that again. The bread was excellent. My husband had the salmon and my daughter had the hamburger. Both of them said the food had char on their food and the grill needed to be cleaned. If your prices are running that high, clean your grill. I brought home two desserts but have not tried them yet. My daughters fries looked soggy and undercooked. Not The Stroubes we had enjoyed before.

My wife and I had a bad experience at Stroubes. We will not be going back. Their web site do not reflect how they run their restaurant. We thought we were going to a fine dining restaurant because the website says they require "polished attire" and the menu makes you think of fine dinning because of the prices. Well when we get there the first thing we see is people wearing muscle shirts, T-shirts and shorts. We figured they must not be strict with the attire rule. Secondly the entire restaurant must have been 85 degrees inside. It was hot. We asked why and apparently one of the AC units wasn't working. The final straw was the food was not as advertised. The food was bland and tasted like it had been plated for a while. We decided to leave because we couldn't enjoy ourselves because of the heat and the food wasn't that good. I hate that we had a bad experience. Maybe we went on a bad day.
I wasn't really that impressed with the place. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. Normally I get Filet Mignon, but decided to venture out and give Bison a try. That was a bad idea. I don't know if all Bison is like this, but it was rather tough. The Caprese Salad and Blue Crab Gnocchi were both delicious! The service was ok...had to ask for a couple things that the waiter should have provided (he might have been new and I might be spoiled with fancier restaurants).
Probably won't be headed back.
Food was bland, grits were cold, and salmon had to be sent back because it was undercooked. Service was pretty good and atmosphere was decent.
